1. తాళక బూర ఊదినట్లు ఎలుగెత్తి బిగ్గరగా కేకలు వేయుము వారు చేసిన తిరుగుబాటును నా జనులకు తెలియ జేయుము యాకోబు ఇంటివారికి వారి పాపములను తెలియ జేయుము

1. Cry aloud, do not hold back; lift up thy voice like a shofar and preach to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sin.

2. తమ దేవుని న్యాయవిధిని విడువక నీతిని అనుసరించువారైనట్టు అనుదినము వారు నాయొద్ద విచారణ చేయుచు నా మార్గములను తెలిసికొన నిచ్ఛ కనుపరచుదురు తమకు న్యాయమైన తీర్పులు తీర్చవలెనని వారడుగుదురు దేవుడు తమకు ప్రత్యక్షుడు కావలెనని యిచ్ఛ యింతురు.

2. That they seek me daily and want to know my ways, as people that do righteousness and have not forsaken the rights of their God: they ask me of the rights of righteousness and desire to approach God.

3. మేము ఉపవాసముండగా నీవెందుకు చూడవు? మేము మా ప్రాణములను ఆయాసపరచుకొనగా నీవెందుకు లక్ష్యపెట్టవు? అని అందురు మీ ఉపవాసదినమున మీరు మీ వ్యాపారము చేయుదురు. మీ పనివారిచేత కఠినమైనపని చేయించుదురు

3. Why have we fasted, [they say], and thou dost not see? [why] have we afflicted our soul, and thou dost take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find [your own] pleasure and exact your own estates.

4. మీరు కలహపడుచు వివాదము చేయుచు అన్యాయముగా గుద్దులాడుచు ఉపవాసముందురు మీ కంఠధ్వని పరమున వినబడునట్లుగా మీరిప్పుడు ఉపవాసముండరు.

4. Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as [ye do this] day to make your voice to be heard on high.

5. అట్టి ఉపవాసము నాకనుకూలమా? మనష్యుడు తన ప్రాణమును బాధపరచుకొనవలసిన దినము అట్టిదేనా? ఒకడు జమ్మువలె తలవంచుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని బూడిదె పరచుకొని కూర్చుండుట ఉపవాసమా? అట్టి ఉపవాసము యెహోవాకు ప్రీతికరమని మీరను కొందురా?

5. Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? [is it] to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes [under him]? wilt thou call this a fast and an acceptable day to the LORD?

6. దుర్మార్గులు కట్టిన కట్లను విప్పుటయు కాడిమాను మోకులు తీయుటయు బాధింపబడినవారిని విడిపించుటయు ప్రతి కాడిని విరుగగొట్టుటయు నేనేర్పరచుకొనిన ఉపవాసము గదా?

6. [Is] not rather the fast that I have chosen, to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the ties of oppression, to release [into freedom] those who are broken, and that ye break every yoke?

7. నీ ఆహారము ఆకలిగొనినవారికి పెట్టుటయు నీ రక్త సంబంధికి ముఖము తప్పింపకుండుటయు దిక్కుమాలిన బీదలను నీ యింట చేర్చుకొనుటయు

7. [Is it] not to share thy bread with the hungry and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou not hide thyself from thy brother?

8. వస్త్రహీనుడు నీకు కనబడినప్పుడు వానికి వస్త్రము లిచ్చుటయు ఇదియే గదా నాకిష్టమైన ఉపవాసము? ఆలాగున నీవు చేసినయెడల నీ వెలుగు వేకువ చుక్క వలె ఉదయించును స్వస్థత నీకు శీఘ్రముగా లభించును నీ నీతి నీ ముందర నడచును యెహోవా మహిమ నీ సైన్యపు వెనుకటి భాగమును కావలికాయును.

8. Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

9. అప్పుడు నీవు పిలువగా యెహోవా ఉత్తర మిచ్చును నీవు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టగా ఆయన నేనున్నాననును. ఇతరులను బాధించుటయు వ్రేలుపెట్టి చూపి తిరస్కరించుటయు చెడ్డదానినిబట్టి మాటలాడుటయు నీవు మాని

9. Then shalt thou call, and thou shalt hear the LORD; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I [am]. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10. ఆశించినదానిని ఆకలిగొనినవానికిచ్చి శ్రమపడినవానిని తృప్తిపరచినయెడల చీకటిలో నీ వెలుగు ప్రకాశించును అంధకారము నీకు మధ్యాహ్నమువలె నుండును.

10. and [if] thou pour out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness [be] as the noonday:

11. యెహోవా నిన్ను నిత్యము నడిపించును క్షామకాలమున ఆయన నిన్ను తృప్తిపరచి నీ యెముక లను బలపరచును నీవు నీరు కట్టిన తోటవలెను ఎప్పుడును ఉబుకుచుండు నీటి ఊటవలెను ఉండెదవు.

11. And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

12. పూర్వకాలమునుండి పాడైపోయిన స్థలములను నీ జనులు కట్టెదరు అనేకతరముల క్రిందట పాడైపోయిన పునాదులను నీవు మరల కట్టెదవు విరుగబడినదానిని బాగుచేయువాడవనియు దేశములో నివసించునట్లుగా త్రోవలు సిద్ధపరచువాడ వనియు నీకు పేరు పెట్టబడును. ఆయన నీతియే ఆయనకు ఆధారమాయెను.

12. And [they] shall build up out of thee the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the [fallen] foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13. నా విశ్రాంతిదినమున వ్యాపారము చేయకుండ నాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితమైన దినమని నీవు ఊరకుండినయెడల విశ్రాంతిదినము మనోహరమైనదనియు యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితదినమనియు ఘనమైనదనియు అనుకొని దాని ఘనముగా ఆచరించినయెడల నీకిష్టమైన పనులు చేయకయు వ్యాపారము చేయ కయు లోకవార్తలు చెప్పుకొనకయు ఉండినయెడల

13. If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy will on my holy day; and call the sabbath [the] delightful, holy, glorious [day] of the LORD; and shalt honour him by not doing thine own ways, nor seeking thine own will, nor speaking [thine own] words:

14. నీవు యెహోవాయందు ఆనందించెదవు దేశముయొక్క ఉన్నతస్థలములమీద నేను నిన్నెక్కిం చెదను నీ తండ్రియైన యాకోబు స్వాస్థ్యమును నీ యనుభవ ములో ఉంచెదను యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన వాక్కు ఇదే.

14. Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth and cause thee to eat of the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken [it].:
