1. నీతిమంతులు నశించుట చూచి యెవరును దానిని మనస్సున పెట్టరు భక్తులైనవారు తీసికొనిపోబడుచున్నారు కీడు చూడకుండ నీతిమంతులు కొనిపోబడుచున్నారని యెవనికిని తోచదు.

1. The righteous one, hath perished, And not a man, hath taken it to heart Yea the men of lovingkindness, have been withdrawn No one considering, That from the presence of calamity, hath the righteous been withdrawn.

2. వారు విశ్రాంతిలో ప్రవేశించుచున్నారు తమకు సూటిగానున్న మార్గమున నడచువారు తమ పడకలమీద పరుండి విశ్రమించుచున్నారు.

2. He entereth into peace, Let them rest upon their couches, Each one who went on a straight path.

3. మంత్రప్రయోగపు కొడుకులారా, వ్యభిచార సంతానమా, వేశ్యాసంతానమా, మీరక్కడికి రండి.

3. But, ye, draw near hither, Ye sons of divination, Ye seed of an adulterer when your mother committed unchastity!

4. మీరెవని ఎగతాళి చేయుచున్నారు? ఎవని చూచి నోరు తెరచి నాలుక చాచుచున్నారు? మీరు తిరుగుబాటు చేయువారును అబద్ధికులును కారా?

4. Against whom would ye disport yourselves? Against whom would ye widen the mouth and lengthen the tongue, Are not, ye, Children of transgression, A Seed of falsehood.

5. మస్తచావృక్షములను చూచి పచ్చని ప్రతిచెట్టు క్రిందను కామము రేపుకొనువారలారా, లోయలలో రాతిసందులక్రింద పిల్లలను చంపువార లారా,

5. Who inflame yourselves With the terebinths, Under every green tree Slaying the children, In the torrent-valleys, Under the clefts of the crags:

6. నీ భాగ్యము లోయలోని రాళ్లలోనే యున్నది అవియే నీకు భాగ్యము, వాటికే పానీయార్పణము చేయుచున్నావు వాటికే నైవేద్యము నర్పించుచున్నావు. ఇవన్నియు జరుగగా నేను ఊరకుండదగునా?

6. Among the smooth stones of the torrent valley, is thy portion. They, they, are thy lot; Even to them, hast thou Poured out a drink-offering. Caused to ascend a gift. Over these things, can I cease to grieve?

7. ఉన్నతమైన మహాపర్వతముమీద నీ పరుపు వేసి కొంటివి బలి అర్పించుటకు అక్కడికే యెక్కితివి తలుపువెనుకను ద్వారబంధము వెనుకను నీ జ్ఞాపకచిహ్నము ఉంచితివి

7. On a mountain high and uplifted, hast thou set thy couch, Even thither, hast thou gone up, to offer sacrifice;

8. నాకు మరుగై బట్టలు తీసి మంచమెక్కితివి నీ పరుపు వెడల్పుచేసికొని నీ పక్షముగా వారితో నిబంధన చేసితివి నీవు వారి మంచము కనబడిన చోట దాని ప్రేమిం చితివి.

8. And behind the door arid the post, hast thou set thy symbol, For, with another than me, hast thou uncovered thyself and gone up Hast widened thy couch, And hast solemnised for thyself a covenant from them, Thou hast loved their couch a sign, hast thou seen;

9. నీవు తైలము తీసికొని రాజునొద్దకు పోతివి పరిమళ ద్రవ్యములను విస్తారముగా తీసికొని నీ రాయబారులను దూరమునకు పంపితివి పాతాళమంత లోతుగా నీవు లొంగితివి

9. And hast gone to the king with oil, And hast multiplied thy perfumes, And hast sent thy messengers afar, And lowered thyself as far as hades!

10. నీ దూరప్రయాణముచేత నీవు ప్రయాసపడినను అది అసాధ్యమని నీవనుకొనలేదు నీవు బలము తెచ్చుకొంటిని గనుక నీవు సొమ్మసిల్లలేదు.

10. With the length of thy journey, thou wast wearied, Thou didst not say, Hopeless! The reviving of thy power, thou didst find, For this cause, hast thou not become sick.

11. ఎవనికి జడిసి భయపడినందున ఆ సంగతి మనస్కరింపకపోతివి? నీవు కల్లలాడి నన్ను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనకపోతివి బహుకాలమునుండి నేను మౌనముగానుండినందు ననే గదా నీవు నాకు భయపడుట లేదు?

11. Whom then hadst thou been anxious about and feared that thou shouldest speak falsely, When me, thou rememberedst not, caredst not for me? Did not, I, keep silence even from age-past times, Although me, thou wouldest not fear?

12. నీ నీతి యెంతో నేనే తెలియజేసెదను, నీ క్రియలు నీకు నిష్‌ప్రయోజనములగును.

12. I, will expose thy righteousness, And thy works but they will not profit thee!

13. నీవు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టునప్పుడు నీ విగ్రహముల గుంపు నిన్ను తప్పించునేమో గాలి వాటినన్నిటిని ఎగరగొట్టును గదా? ఒకడు ఊపిరి విడిచినమాత్రమున అవియన్నియు కొట్టుకొనిపోవును నన్ను నమ్ముకొనువారు దేశమును స్వతంత్రించు కొందురు నా పరిశుద్ధ పర్వతమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.

13. When thou makest outcry, let thy gathered throngs deliver thee! But all of them, shall A wind, catch up A breath, take away! Whereas he that seeketh refuge in me, Shall inherit the land, And possess my holy mountain.

14. ఎత్తుచేయుడి ఎత్తుచేయుడి త్రోవను సిద్ధపరచుడి, అడ్డు చేయుదానిని నా జనుల మార్గములోనుండి తీసివేయుడి అని ఆయన ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు.

14. And one said Cast ye up cast ye up, prepare ye a way, Lift the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.

15. మహా ఘనుడును మహోన్నతుడును పరిశుద్ధుడును నిత్యనివాసియునైనవాడు ఈలాగు సెల విచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను మహోన్నతమైన పరిశుద్ధస్థలములో నివసించు వాడను అయినను వినయముగలవారి ప్రాణమును ఉజ్జీవింప జేయుటకును నలిగినవారి ప్రాణమును ఉజ్జీవింపజేయుటకును వినయముగలవారియొద్దను దీనమనస్సుగలవారియొద్దను నివసించుచున్నాను.

15. For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed;

16. నేను నిత్యము పోరాడువాడను కాను ఎల్లప్పుడును కోపించువాడను కాను ఆలాగుండినయెడల నా మూలముగా జీవాత్మ క్షీణించును నేను పుట్టించిన నరులు క్షీణించిపోవుదురు.

16. For not age-abidingly, will I contend, Nor perpetually, will I be wroth, For, spirit, before me, would faint, Even the breathing souls, which, I, had made.

17. వారి లోభమువలన కలిగిన దోషమునుబట్టి నేను ఆగ్రహపడి వారిని కొట్టితిని నేను నా ముఖము మరుగుచేసికొని కోపించితిని వారు తిరుగబడి తమకిష్టమైన మార్గమున నడచుచు వచ్చిరి.

17. Because of his iniquitous gain, was I wroth and smote him Hiding myself that I might be wroth, But he went on turning aside in the way of his own heart.

18. నేను వారి ప్రవర్తనను చూచితిని వారిని స్వస్థపరచుదును వారిని నడిపింతును వారిలో దుఃఖించువారిని ఓదార్చుదును.

18. His ways, have I beheld, That I might heal him, And guide him, And restore consolations to him and to his mourners:

19. వారిలో కృతజ్ఞతాబుద్ధి పుట్టించుచు దూరస్థులకును సమీపస్థులకును సమాధానము సమాధానమని చెప్పి నేనే వారిని స్వస్థపరచెదనని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడు.

19. Creating the fruit of the lips Prosperity! Prosperity! For him that is far off and for him that is near saith Yahweh, So should I heal him.

20. భక్తిహీనులు కదలుచున్న సముద్రమువంటివారు అది నిమ్మళింపనేరదు దాని జలములు బురదను మైలను పైకివేయును.

20. But, the lawless, are like the sea when tossed, For, rest, it cannot! But its waters toss out mire and dirt.

21. దుష్టులకు నెమ్మదియుండదని నా దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడు.

21. No well-being, saith my God, to the lawless!
