1. ద్వీపములారా, నాయెదుట మౌనముగా నుండుడి జనములారా, నూతనబలము పొందుడి. వారు నా సన్నిధికి వచ్చి మాటలాడవలెను వ్యాజ్యెము తీర్చుకొనుటకు మనము కూడుకొందము రండి.

1. LISTEN IN silence before Me, O islands and regions bordering on the sea! And let the people gather and renew their strength [for the argument; let them offer their strongest arguments]! Let them come near, then let them speak; let us come near together for judgment [and decide the point at issue between us concerning the enemy advancing from the east].

2. Who has roused up one [Cyrus] from the east, whom He calls in righteousness to His service and whom victory meets at every step? He [the Lord] subdues nations before him and makes him ruler over kings. He turns them to dust with the sword [of Cyrus], and to driven straw and chaff with his bow. [Ezra 1:2.]

3. He [Cyrus] pursues them and passes safely and unhindered, even by a way his feet had not trod and so swiftly that his feet do not touch the ground.

4. Who has prepared and done this, calling forth and guiding the destinies of the generations [of the nations] from the beginning? I, the Lord--the first [existing before history began] and with the last [an ever-present, unchanging God]--I am He.

5. ద్వీపములు చూచి దిగులుపడుచున్నవి భూదిగంతములు వణకుచున్నవి జనులు వచ్చి చేరుచున్నారు

5. The islands and coastlands have seen and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They draw near and come;

6. వారు ఒకనికొకడు సహాయము చేసికొందురు ధైర్యము వహించుమని యొకనితో ఒకడు చెప్పు కొందురు.

6. They help every one his neighbor and say to his brother [in his tiresome idol making], Be of good courage!

7. అతుకుటనుగూర్చి అది బాగుగా ఉన్నదని చెప్పి శిల్పి కంసాలిని ప్రోత్సాహపరచును సుత్తెతో నునుపుచేయువాడు దాగలి మీద కొట్టు వానిని ప్రోత్సాహపరచును విగ్రహము కదలకుండ పనివాడు మేకులతో దాని బిగించును.

7. So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith, and he who smooths [the metal] with the hammer [encourages] him who smites the anvil, saying of the soldering, That is good! And he fastens it with nails so that it cannot be moved.

8. నా సేవకుడవైన ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నేనేర్పరచుకొనిన యాకోబూ, నా స్నేహితుడైన అబ్రాహాము సంతానమా,

8. But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham My friend, [Heb. 2:16; James 2:23.]

9. You whom I [the Lord] have taken from the ends of the earth and have called from the corners of it, and said to you, You are My servant--I have chosen you and not cast you off [even though you are exiled].

10. నీవు నా దాసుడవనియు నేను నిన్ను ఉపేక్షింపక యేర్పరచుకొంటిననియు నేను నీతో చెప్పియున్నాను నీకు తోడైయున్నాను భయపడకుము నేను నీ దేవుడనై యున్నాను దిగులుపడకుము నేను నిన్ను బలపరతును నీకు సహాయము చేయువాడను నేనే నీతియను నా దక్షిణహస్తముతో నిన్ను ఆదుకొం దును.

10. Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. [Acts 18:10.]

11. నీమీద కోపపడినవారందరు సిగ్గుపడి విస్మయ మొందెదరు నీతో వాదించువారు మాయమై నశించిపోవుదురు

11. Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.

12. నీతో కలహించువారిని నీవు వెదకుదువు గాని వారిని కనుగొనలేకపోవుదువు నీతో యుద్ధము చేయువారు మాయమై పోవుదురు అభావులగుదురు.

12. You shall seek those who contend with you but shall not find them; they who war against you shall be as nothing, as nothing at all.

13. నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవానగు నేనుభయపడకుము నేను నీకు సహాయము చేసెదనని చెప్పుచు నీ కుడిచేతిని పట్టుకొనుచున్నాను.

13. For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!

14. పురుగువంటి యాకోబూ, స్వల్పజనమగు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, భయపడకుడి నేను నీకు సహాయము చేయుచున్నాను అని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నీ విమోచకుడు ఇశ్రాయేలు పరిశుద్ధ దేవుడే.

14. Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you, says the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

15. కక్కులు పెట్టబడి పదునుగల క్రొత్తదైన నురిపిడి మ్రానుగా నిన్ను నియమించియున్నాను నీవు పర్వతములను నూర్చుదువు వాటిని పొడి చేయు దువు కొండలను పొట్టువలె చేయుదువు

15. Behold, I will make you to be a new, sharp, threshing instrument which has teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, and shall make the hills like chaff.

16. నీవు వాటిని గాలించగా గాలి వాటిని కొని పోవును సుడిగాలి వాటిని చెదరగొట్టును. నీవు యెహోవానుబట్టి సంతోషించుదువు ఇశ్రాయేలు పరిశుద్ధదేవునిబట్టి అతిశయపడుదువు.

16. You shall winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the tempest or whirlwind shall scatter them. And you shall rejoice in the Lord, you shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.

17. దీనదరిద్రులు నీళ్లు వెదకుచున్నారు, నీళ్లు దొరకక వారి నాలుక దప్పిచేత ఎండిపోవుచున్నది, యెహోవా అను నేను వారికి ఉత్తరమిచ్చెదను ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడనైన నేను వారిని విడనాడను.

17. The poor and needy are seeking water when there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

18. జనులు చూచి యెహోవా హస్తము ఈ కార్యము చేసెననియు ఇశ్రాయేలు పరిశుద్ధ దేవుడు దీని కలుగజేసెననియు తెలిసికొని మనస్కరించి స్పష్టముగా గ్రహించు నట్లు

18. I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

19. చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీద నేను నదులను పారజేసెదను లోయలమధ్యను ఊటలను ఉబుకజేసెదను అరణ్యమును నీటిమడుగుగాను ఎండిన నేలను నీటిబుగ్గలుగాను చేసెదను.

19. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the wild olive; I will set the cypress in the desert, the plane [tree] and the pine [tree] together,

20. నేను అరణ్యములో దేవదారు వృక్షమును తుమ్మ చెట్లను గొంజిచెట్లను తైలవృక్షమును నాటిం చెదను అడవిలో తమాలవృక్షములను సరళవృక్షములను నేరెడి వృక్షములను నాటెదను.

20. That men may see and know and consider and understand together that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

21. వ్యాజ్యెమాడుడని యెహోవా అనుచున్నాడు మీ రుజువు చూపించుడని యాకోబురాజు చెప్పు చున్నాడు.

21. [You idols made by men's hands, prove your divinity!] Produce your cause [set forth your case], says the Lord. Bring forth your strong proofs, says the King of Jacob.

22. జరుగబోవువాటిని విశదపరచి మాయెదుట తెలియ జెప్పుడి పూర్వమైనవాటిని విశదపరచుడి మేమాలోచించి వాటి ఫలమును తెలిసికొనునట్లు వాటిని మాకు తెలియజెప్పుడి లేనియెడల రాగలవాటిని మాకు తెలియజెప్పుడి.

22. Let them bring them forth and tell us what is to happen. Let them tell us the former things, what they are, that we may consider them and know the outcome of them; or declare to us the things to come.

23. ఇకమీదట రాబోవు సంగతులను తెలియజెప్పుడి అప్పుడు మీరు దేవతలని మేము ఒప్పుకొందుము మేము ఒకరినొకరము సాటిచేసికొని కనుగొనునట్లు మేలైనను కీడైనను చేయుడి.

23. Tell us the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; yes, do good or do evil [something or other], that we may stare in astonishment and be dismayed as we behold [the miracle] together!

24. మీరు మాయాసంతానము మీ కార్యము శూన్యము మిమ్మును కోరుకొనువారు హేయులు.

24. Behold, you [idols] are nothing, and your work is nothing! The worshiper who chooses you is an abomination [extremely disgusting and shamefully vile in God's sight]. [I Cor. 8:4.]

25. ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి నేనొకని రేపుచున్నాను నా నామమున ప్రార్థించువాడొకడు సూర్యోదయ దిక్కునుండి వచ్చుచున్నాడు ఒకడు బురద త్రొక్కునట్లు కుమ్మరి మన్ను త్రొక్కునట్లు అతడు సైన్యాధిపతులను నలగద్రొక్కును.

25. I have raised up and impelled to action one from the north [Cyrus], and he comes; from the rising of the sun he calls upon My name [recognizing that his victories have been granted to him by Me]. And he shall tread upon rulers and deputies as upon mortar and as the potter treads clay. [He comes with the suddenness of a comet, but none of the idol oracles of the nations has anticipated it.] [II Chron. 36:23; Ezra 1:1-3.]

26. మేము ఒప్పుకొనునట్లు జరిగినదానిని ఆదినుండియు తెలియజెప్పినవాడెవడు? ఆ వాదము న్యాయమని మేము అనునట్లు పూర్వ కాలమున దానిని తెలియజెప్పినవాడెవడు? దాని తెలియజెప్పువాడెవడును లేడు వినుపించు వాడెవడును లేడు మీ మాటలు వినువాడెవడును లేడు.

26. [What idol] has declared this from the beginning, that we could know? And beforetime, that we could say that he is [unquestionably] right? Yes, there is none who declares it, yes, there is none who proclaims it; yes, [for the truth is, O you dumb idols] there is none who hears you speak!

27. ఆలకించుడి, అవియే అని మొదట సీయోనుతో చెప్పిన వాడను నేనే యెరూషలేమునకు వర్తమానము ప్రకటింపు నొకని నేనే పంపితిని.

27. I [the Lord] first gave to Zion the announcement, Behold, [the Jews will be restored to their own land, and the man Cyrus shall be raised up who will deliver them] behold them! And to Jerusalem I gave a herald [Isaiah] bringing the good news. [Isa. 40:9; 52:7.]

28. నేను చూడగా ఎవడును లేకపోయెను నేను వారిని ప్రశ్నవేయగా ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యగల ఆలోచనకర్త యెవడును లేకపోయెను.

28. For I look [upon the heathen prophets and the priests of pagan practices] and there is no man among them [who could predict these events], and among these [idols] there is no counselor who, when I ask of him, can answer a word.

29. వారందరు మాయాస్వరూపులు వారి క్రియలు మాయ వారి పోతవిగ్రహములు శూన్యములు అవి వట్టిగాలియై యున్నవి.

29. Behold, these [pagan prophets and priests] are all emptiness (falseness and futility)! Their works are worthless; their molten images are empty wind (confusion and waste).
