1. ఆలకించుడి ప్రభువును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా పోషణమును పోషణాధారమును అన్నోదకముల ఆధారమంతయు పోషణమంతయు

1. For, lo, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is turning aside from Jerusalem, And from Judah, stay and staff, Every stay of bread, and every stay of water.

2. శూరులను యోధులను న్యాయాధిపతులను ప్రవక్తలను

2. Hero and man of war, judge and prophet, And diviner and elder,

3. సోదెకాండ్రను పెద్దలను పంచాదశాధిపతులను ఘనత వహించినవారిని మంత్రులను శిల్పశాస్త్రములను ఎరిగినవారిని మాంత్రికులను యెరూషలేములోనుండియు యూదాదేశములో నుండియు తీసివేయును.

3. Head of fifty, and accepted of faces, And counsellor, and the wise of artificers, And the intelligent of charmers.

4. బాలకులను వారికి అధిపతులనుగా నియమించెదను వారు బాలచేష్టలుచేసి జనులను ఏలెదరు.

4. And I have made youths their heads, And sucklings rule over them.

5. ప్రజలలో ఒకడిట్లును మరియొకడట్లును ప్రతివాడు తన పొరుగువానిని ఒత్తుడు చేయును. పెద్దవానిపైని బాలుడును ఘనునిపైని నీచుడును గర్వించి తిరస్కారముగా నడుచును.

5. And the people hath exacted -- man upon man, Even a man on his neighbour, Enlarge themselves do the youths against the aged, And the lightly esteemed against the honoured.

6. ఒకడు తన తండ్రియింట తన సహోదరుని పట్టుకొని నీకు వస్త్రము కలదు నీవు మామీద అధిపతివై యుందువు ఈ పాడుస్థలము నీ వశముండనిమ్మనును

6. When one layeth hold on his brother, [Of] the house of his father, [by] the garment, 'Come, a ruler thou art to us, And this ruin [is] under thy hand.'

7. అతడు ఆ దినమున కేకవేసినేను సంరక్షణ కర్తనుగా ఉండనొల్లను నాయింట ఆహారమేమియు లేదు వస్త్రమేమియు లేదు నన్ను జనాధిపతిగా నియమింపరాదనును.

7. He lifteth up, in that day, saying: 'I am not a binder up, And in my house is neither bread nor garment, Ye do not make me a ruler of the people.'

8. యెరూషలేము పాడైపోయెను యూదా నాశన మాయెను యెహోవా మహిమగల దృష్టికి తిరుగుబాటు చేయు నంతగా వారి మాటలును క్రియలును ఆయనకు ప్రతికూలముగా ఉన్నవి.

8. For stumbled hath Jerusalem, and Judah hath fallen, For their tongue and their doings [are] against Jehovah, To provoke the eyes of His glory.

9. వారి ముఖలక్షణమే వారిమీద సాక్ష్యమిచ్చును. తమ పాపమును మరుగుచేయక సొదొమవారివలె దాని బయలుపరచుదురు. తమకు తామే వారు కీడుచేసికొని యున్నారు వారికి శ్రమ

9. The appearance of their faces witnessed against them, And their sin, as Sodom, they declared, They have not hidden! Woe to their soul, For they have done to themselves evil.

10. మీకు మేలు కలుగునని నీతిమంతులతో చెప్పుము వారు తమ క్రియల ఫలము అనుభవింతురు.

10. Say ye to the righteous, that [it is] good, Because the fruit of their doings they eat.

11. దుష్టులకు శ్రమ, వారి క్రియల ఫలము వారికి కలుగును.

11. Woe to the wicked -- evil, Because the deed of his hand is done to him.

12. నా ప్రజలవిషయమై నేనేమందును? బాలురు వారిని బాధపెట్టుచున్నారు స్త్రీలు వారిని ఏలుచున్నారు. నా ప్రజలారా, మీ నాయకులు త్రోవను తప్పించు వారు

12. My people -- its exactors [are] sucklings, And women have ruled over it. My people -- thy eulogists are causing to err, And the way of thy paths swallowed up.

13. వారు నీ త్రోవల జాడను చెరిపివేయుదురు. యెహోవా వాదించుటకు నిలువబడియున్నాడు జనములను విమర్శించుటకు లేచియున్నాడు

13. Jehovah hath stood up to plead, And He is standing to judge the peoples.

14. యెహోవా తన జనుల పెద్దలను వారి యధిపతులను విమర్శింప వచ్చుచున్నాడు. మీరే ద్రాక్షలతోటను తినివేసితిరి మీరు దోచుకొనిన దరిద్రుల సొమ్ము మీ యిండ్లలోనే యున్నది

14. Jehovah into judgment doth enter With elders of His people, and its heads: 'And ye, ye have consumed the vineyard, Plunder of the poor [is] in your houses.

15. నా ప్రజలను నలుగగొట్టి మీరేమి చేయుదురు? బీదల ముఖములను నూరి మీరేమి చేయుదురు? అని ప్రభువును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

15. What -- to you? ye bruise My people, And the faces of the poor ye grind.' An affirmation of the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, And Jehovah saith:

16. మరియు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చినదేదనగా సీయోను కుమార్తెలు గర్విష్ఠురాండ్రై మెడచాచి నడచుచు ఓర చూపులు చూచుచు కులుకుతో నడచుచు, తమ కాళ్లగజ్జలను మ్రోగించు చున్నారు;

16. 'Because that daughters of Zion have been haughty, And they walk stretching out the neck, And deceiving [with] the eyes, Walking and mincing they go, And with their feet they make a tinkling,

17. కాబట్టి ప్రభువు సీయోను కుమార్తెల నడినెత్తి బోడి చేయును యెహోవా వారి మానమును బయలుపరచును.

17. The Lord also hath scabbed The crown of the head of daughters of Zion, And Jehovah their simplicity exposeth.

18. ఆ దినమున యెహోవా గల్లుగల్లుమను వారి పాద భూషణములను సూర్యబింబ భూషణములను చంద్రవంకలను భూషణములను

18. In that day doth the Lord turn aside The beauty of the tinkling ornaments, And of the embroidered works, And of the round tires like moons,

19. కర్ణభూషణములను కడియములను నాణమైన ముసుకు లను

19. Of the drops, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

20. కుల్లాయీలను కాళ్ల గొలుసులను ఒడ్డాణములను పరిమళ ద్రవ్యపు బరిణలను

20. Of the bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, And of the bands, And of the perfume boxes, and the amulets,

21. రక్షరేకులను ఉంగరములను ముక్కు కమ్ములను

21. Of the seals, and of the nose-rings,

22. ఉత్సవ వస్త్రములను ఉత్తరీయములను పైటలను సంచులను

22. Of the costly apparel, and of the mantles, And of the coverings, and of the purses,

23. చేతి అద్దములను సన్నపునారతో చేసిన ముసుకులను పాగాలను శాలువులను తీసివేయును.

23. Of the mirrors, and of the linen garments, And of the hoods, and of the vails,

24. అప్పుడు పరిమళ ద్రవ్యమునకు ప్రతిగా మురుగుడును నడికట్టుకు ప్రతిగా త్రాడును అల్లిన జడకు ప్రతిగా బోడితలయు ప్రశస్తమైన పైవస్త్రమునకు ప్రతిగా గోనెపట్టయు అందమునకు ప్రతిగా వాతయును ఉండును.

24. And it hath been, instead of spice is muck, And instead of a girdle, a rope, And instead of curled work, baldness, And instead of a stomacher a girdle of sackcloth.

25. ఖడ్గముచేత మనుష్యులు కూలుదురు యుద్ధమున నీ బలాఢ్యులు పడుదురు

25. For instead of glory, thy men by sword do fall, And thy might in battle.

26. పట్టణపు గుమ్మములు బాధపడి దుఃఖించును ఆమె ఏమియు లేనిదై నేల కూర్చుండును.

26. And lamented and mourned have her openings, Yea, she hath been emptied, on the earth she sitteth!
