1. నా ప్రియురాలా, నీవు సుందరివి నీవు సుందరివి నీ ముసుకుగుండ నీ కన్నులు గువ్వకన్నులవలె కనబడు చున్నవి నీ తలవెండ్రుకలు గిలాదు పర్వతముమీది మేకల మందను పోలియున్నవి.

1. O how fair art thou (my love) how fair art thou? thou hast doves' eyes, beside that which lieth hid within.

2. నీ పలువరుస కత్తెరవేయబడినవియు కడుగబడి అప్పుడే పైకి వచ్చినవియునై జోడుజోడు పిల్లలు కలిగి ఒకదానినైన పోగొట్టుకొనక సుఖముగానున్న గొఱ్ఱెల కదుపులను పోలియున్నది.

2. Thy hairy locks are like a flock of sheep that be clipped, which go first up from the washing place: where every one beareth two twins, and not one unfruitful among them.

3. నీ పెదవులు ఎరుపునూలును పోలియున్నవి. నీ నోరు సుందరము నీ ముసుకుగుండ నీ కణతలు విచ్చిన దాడిమ ఫలము వలె నగపడుచున్నవి.

3. Thy lips are like a rose coloured ribbon, thy words are lovely: thy cheeks are like a piece of a pomegranate, besides that which lyeth hid within.

4. జయసూచకముల నుంచుటకై దావీదు కట్టించిన గోపురముతోను వేయి డాలులును, శూరుల కవచములన్నియును వ్రేలాడు ఆ గోపురముతోను నీ కంధరము సమానము.

4. Thy neck is like the tower of David builded with bulwarks, where upon there hang a thousand shields, yea all the weapons of the giants.

5. నీ యిరు కుచములు ఒక జింకపిల్లలయి తామరలో మేయు కవలను పోలియున్నవి.

5. Thy two breasts are like two twins of young roes, which feed among the lilies.

6. ఎండ చల్లారి నీడలు జరిగిపోవువరకు గోపరస పర్వతములకు సాంబ్రాణి పర్వతములకు నేను వెళ్లుదును.

6. O that I might go to the mountain of Myrre, and to the hill of frankincense: till the day break, and till the shadows be past away.

7. నా ప్రియురాలా, నీవు అధికసుందరివి నీయందు కళంకమేమియు లేదు.

7. Thou art all fair, O my love, and no sport is there in thee.

8. ప్రాణేశ్వరీ, లెబానోను విడిచి నాతోకూడ రమ్ము లెబానోను విడిచి నాతో కూడ రమ్ము అమానపర్వతపు శిఖరమునుండి శెనీరు హెర్మోనుల శిఖరమునుండి సింహవ్యాఘ్రములుండు గుహలుగల కొండలపైనుండి నీవు క్రిందికి చూచెదవు.

8. Come to me from Libanus, O my spouse, and come to me from Liban: come soon the next way from the top of Amana, from the top of Sanir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, and from the mountains of the leopards.

9. నా సహోదరీ, ప్రాణేశ్వరీ, నీవు నా హృదయమును వశపరచుకొంటివి ఒక చూపుతో నా హృదయమును వశపరచుకొంటివి. నీ హారములలో ఒకదానిచేత నన్ను వశపరచుకొంటివి.

9. Thou hast wounded my heart, O my sister, my spouse, thou hast wounded my heart, with one of thine eyes, and with one chain of thy neck.

10. సహోదరీ, ప్రాణేశ్వరీ, నీ ప్రేమ ఎంత మధురము! ద్రాక్షారసముకన్న నీ ప్రేమ ఎంత సంతోషకరము నీవు పూసికొను పరిమళ తైలముల వాసన సకల గంధవర్గములకన్న సంతోషకరము.

10. O how fair and lovely are thy breasts, my sister, my spouse? Thy breasts are more pleasant than wine, and the smell of thine ointments passeth all spices.

11. ప్రాణేశ్వరీ, నీ పెదవులు తేనియలొలుకుచున్న ట్టున్నవి నీ జిహ్వక్రింద మధుక్షీరములు కలవు నీ వస్త్రముల సువాసన లెబానోను సువాసనవలె నున్నది.

11. Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb, yea milk and honey is under thy tongue, and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of frankincense.

12. నా సహోదరి నా ప్రాణేశ్వరి మూయబడిన ఉద్యానము మూతవేయబడిన జలకూపము.

12. Thou art a well kept garden, O my sister, my spouse, thou are a well kept watering spring, a sealed well.

13. నీ చిగురులు దాడిమవనము వింతైన శ్రేష్ఠ ఫలవృక్షములు కర్పూరవృక్షములు జటామాంసి వృక్షములు

13. The fruits that sprout in thee, are like a very Paradise of pomegranates with sweet fruits:

14. జటామాంసియు కుంకుమయు నిమ్మగడ్డియు లవంగపట్టయు వివిధమైన పరిమళతైల వృక్షములు గోపరసమును అగరు వృక్షములు నానావిధ శ్రేష్ఠ పరిమళద్రవ్యములు.

14. as Cypress, Nardus, Saffron, Calmus, and all the trees of Libanus: Myrre, Aloes, and all the best spices.

15. నా సహోదరీ, నా ప్రాణేశ్వరీ, నీవు ఉద్యానజలాశయము ప్రవాహజలకూపము లెబానోను పర్వతప్రవాహము.

15. Thou art a well of gardens, a well of living waters, which run(renne) down from Libanus.

16. ఉత్తరవాయువూ, ఏతెంచుము దక్షిణవాయువూ, వేంచేయుము నా ఉద్యానవనముమీద విసరుడి దాని పరిమళములు వ్యాపింపజేయుడి నా ప్రియుడు తన ఉద్యానవనమునకు వేంచేయును గాక తనకిష్టమైన ఫలముల నతడు భుజించునుగాక.

16. Up thou northwind, come thou southwind, and blow upon my garden, that the smell thereof may be carried on every side: yea that my beloved may come into my garden, and eat of the fruits and apples that grow therein.
