1. రాజైన లెమూయేలు మాటలు, అతని తల్లి అతని కుపదేశించిన దేవోక్తి,

1. The words of king Lemuel, the prophecy with which his mother taught him.

2. నా కుమారుడా, నేనేమందును? నేను కన్న కుమా రుడా, నేనేమందును? నా మ్రొక్కులు మ్రొక్కి కనిన కుమారుడా, నేనే మందును?

2. What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?

3. నీ బలమును స్త్రీలకియ్యకుము రాజులను నశింపజేయు స్త్రీలతో సహవాసము చేయ కుము

3. Do not give thy strength nor thy ways unto the women who destroy kings.

4. ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుట రాజులకు తగదు లెమూయేలూ, అది రాజులకు తగదు మద్యపానాసక్తి అధికారులకు తగదు.

4. [It is] not for kings, O Lemuel, [it is] not for kings to drink wine; nor is beer for princes

5. త్రాగినయెడల వారు కట్టడలను మరతురు దీనులకందరికి అన్యాయము చేయుదురు

5. lest they drink and forget the law and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

6. ప్రాణము పోవుచున్నవానికి మద్యము నియ్యుడి మనోవ్యాకులముగలవారికి ద్రాక్షారసము నియ్యుడి.

6. Give beer unto him that is ready to perish and wine unto those that have heavy hearts.

7. వారు త్రాగి తమ పేదరికము మరతురు తమ శ్రమను ఇక తలంచకుందురు.

7. They drink and forget their need and remember their misery no more.

8. మూగవారికిని దిక్కులేనివారికందరికిని న్యాయము జరుగునట్లు నీ నోరు తెరువుము.

8. Open thy mouth for those who cannot speak in the judgment of all the sons of death.

9. నీ నోరు తెరచి న్యాయముగా తీర్పు తీర్చుము దీనులకును శ్రమపడువారికిని దరిద్రులకును న్యాయము జరిగింపుము.

9. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and destitute.

10. గుణవతియైన భార్య దొరుకుట అరుదు అట్టిది ముత్యముకంటె అమూల్యమైనది.

10. [Aleph] Who can find a valiant woman? for her price [is] far above precious stones.

11. ఆమె పెనిమిటి ఆమెయందు నమ్మికయుంచును అతని లాభప్రాప్తికి వెలితి కలుగదు.

11. [Beth] The heart of her husband safely trusts in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12. ఆమె తాను బ్రదుకు దినములన్నియు అతనికి మేలు చేయును గాని కీడేమియు చేయదు.

12. [Gimel] She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

13. ఆమె గొఱ్ఱెబొచ్చును అవిసెనారను వెదకును తన చేతులార వాటితో పనిచేయును.

13. [Daleth] She sought wool and flax and worked willingly with her hands.

14. వర్తకపు ఓడలు దూరమునుండి ఆహారము తెచ్చునట్లు ఆమె దూరమునుండి ఆహారము తెచ్చుకొనును.

14. [He] She was like the merchants' ships; she brings her food from afar.

15. ఆమె చీకటితోనే లేచి, తన యింటివారికి భోజనము సిద్ధపరచును తన పనికత్తెలకు బత్తెము ఏర్పరచును.

15. [Vau] She rose up even at night and gave food to her family and a portion to her maidens.

16. ఆమె పొలమును చూచి దానిని తీసికొనును తాము కూడబెట్టిన ద్రవ్యము పెట్టి ద్రాక్షతోట యొకటి నాటించును.

16. [Zain] She considered the inheritance and bought it; with the fruit of her hands she planted a vineyard.

17. ఆమె నడికట్టుచేత నడుము బలపరచుకొని చేతులతో బలముగా పనిచేయును

17. [Cheth] She girded her loins with strength and strengthened her arms.

18. తన వ్యాపారలాభము అనుభవముచే తెలిసికొనును రాత్రివేళ ఆమె దీపము ఆరిపోదు.

18. [Teth] She perceived that her merchandise [was] good; her fire did not go out by night.

19. ఆమె పంటెను చేత పట్టుకొనును తన వ్రేళ్లతో కదురు పట్టుకొని వడుకును.

19. [Jod] She laid her hands to the spindle, and her hands held the distaff.

20. దీనులకు తన చెయ్యి చాపును దరిద్రులకు తన చేతులు చాపును

20. [Caph] She stretched out her hand to the poor; [yea], she reached forth her hands to the destitute.

21. తన యింటివారికి చలి తగులునని భయపడదు ఆమె యింటివారందరు రక్తవర్ణ వస్త్రములు ధరించిన వారు.

21. [Lamed] She shall not be afraid of the snow for her family, for all her family [is] clothed with double garments.

22. ఆమె పరుపులను సిద్ధపరచుకొనును ఆమె బట్టలు సన్నని నారబట్టలు రక్తవర్ణపు వస్త్రములు.

22. [Mem] She makes herself tapestries; her clothing [is] of fine linen and purple.

23. ఆమె పెనిమిటి దేశపు పెద్దలతోకూడ కూర్చుం డును గవినియొద్ద పేరుగొనినవాడై యుండును.

23. [Nun] Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land.

24. ఆమె నారబట్టలు నేయించి అమ్మునునడికట్లను వర్తకులకు అమ్మును.

24. [Samech] She made fine linen and sold [it] and delivered girdles unto the merchant.

25. బలమును ఘనతయు ఆమెకు వస్త్రములు ఆమె రాబోవు కాలము విషయమై నిర్భయముగా ఉండును.

25. [Ain] Strength and glory [is] her clothing, and she shall laugh in the last day.

26. జ్ఞానము కలిగి తన నోరు తెరచును కృపగల ఉపదేశము ఆమె బోధించును.

26. [Pe] She opened her mouth with wisdom, and the law of mercy [is] upon her tongue.

27. ఆమె తన యింటివారి నడతలను బాగుగా కని పెట్టును పనిచేయకుండ ఆమె భోజనము చేయదు.

27. [Tzaddi] She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat bread in idleness.

28. ఆమె కుమారులు లేచి ఆమెను ధన్యురాలందరు చాలమంది కుమార్తెలు పతివ్రతాధర్మము ననుసరించి

28. [Koph] Her sons rose up and called her blessed; her husband [also], and he praised her.

29. యున్నారు గాని వారందరిని నీవు మించినదానవు అని ఆమె పెనిమిటి ఆమెను పొగడును.

29. [Resh] Many daughters have done valiantly, but thou dost excel them all.

30. అందము మోసకరము, సౌందర్యము వ్యర్థము యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగిన స్త్రీ కొని యాడబడును

30. [Schin] Grace [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain, [but] the woman that fears the LORD shall be praised.

31. చేసిన పనినిబట్టి అట్టిదానికి ప్రతిఫలమియ్యదగును గవునులయొద్ద ఆమె పనులు ఆమెను కొనియాడును.

31. [Tau] Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.:
