1. నీవు మొరలిడినయెడల నీకు ఉత్తరమీయగలవాడెవడైన నుండునా? పరిశుద్దదూతలలో ఎవనితట్టు తిరుగుదువు?

1. Call now! Will anyone respond to you? To which of the holy ones will you appeal?

2. దౌర్భాగ్యమునుగూర్చి యేడ్చుటవలన మూఢులు నశిం చెదరు బుద్ధిలేనివారు అసూయవలన చచ్చెదరు.

2. Nay, impatience kills the fool and indignation slays the simpleton.

3. మూఢుడు వేరు తన్నుట నేను చూచియున్నాను అయినను తోడనే అతని నివాసస్థలము శాపగ్రస్తమనికనుగొంటిని.

3. I have seen a fool spreading his roots, but his household suddenly decayed.

4. అతని పిల్లలు సంరక్షణ దొరకక యుందురుగుమ్మములో నలిగిపోవుదురువారిని విడిపించువాడెవడును లేడు.

4. His children shall be far from safety; they shall be crushed at the gate without a rescuer.

5. ఆకలిగొనినవారు అతని పంటను తినివేయుదురుముండ్ల చెట్లలోనుండియు వారు దాని తీసికొందురుబోనులు వారి ఆస్తికొరకు కాచుకొనుచున్నవి

5. What they have reaped the hungry shall eat up; (or God shall take it away by blight;) and the thirsty shall swallow their substance.

6. శ్రమ ధూళిలోనుండి పుట్టదు.బాధ భూమిలోనుండి మొలవదు.

6. For mischief comes not out of the earth, nor does trouble spring out of the ground;

7. నిప్పు రవ్వలు పైకి ఎగురునట్లు నరులు శ్రమానుభవమునకే పుట్టుచున్నారు.

7. But man himself begets mischief, as sparks fly upward.

8. అయితే నేను దేవుని నాశ్రయించుదును.దేవునికే నా వ్యాజ్యెమును అప్పగించుదును.

8. In your place, I would appeal to God, and to God I would state my plea.

9. ఆయన పరిశోధింపజాలని మహాకార్యములను లెక్కలేనన్ని అద్భుత క్రియలను చేయువాడు.

10. ఆయన భూమిమీద వర్షము కురిపించువాడు పొలములమీద నీళ్లు ప్రవహింపజేయువాడు.

10. He gives rain upon the earth and sends water upon the fields;

11. అట్లు ఆయన దీనులను ఉన్నత స్థలములలో నుంచును దుఃఖపడువారిని క్షేమమునకు లేవనెత్తును.

11. He sets up on high the lowly, and those who mourn he exalts to safety.

12. వంచకులు తమ పన్నాగములను నెరవేర్చ నేరకుండ ఆయన వారి ఉపాయములను భంగపరచును

12. He frustrates the plans of the cunning, so that their hands achieve no success;

13. జ్ఞానులను వారి కృత్రిమములోనే ఆయన పట్టుకొనును కపటుల ఆలోచనను తలక్రిందుచేయును

13. He catches the wise in their own ruses, and the designs of the crafty are routed.

14. పగటివేళ వారికి అంధకారము తారసిల్లును రాత్రి ఒకడు తడువులాడునట్లు మధ్యాహ్నకాలమునవారు తడువులాడుదురు

14. They meet with darkness in the daytime, and at noonday they grope as though it were night.

15. బలాఢ్యుల నోటి ఖడ్గమునుండి, వారి చేతిలో నుండి ఆయన దరిద్రులను రక్షించును.

15. But the poor from the edge of the sword and from the hand of the mighty, he saves.

16. కావున బీదలకు నిరీక్షణ కలుగును అక్రమము నోరు మూసికొనును.

16. Thus the unfortunate have hope, and iniquity closes her mouth.

17. దేవుడు గద్దించు మనుష్యుడు ధన్యుడుకాబట్టి సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుని శిక్షను తృణీకరింపకుము.

17. Happy is the man whom God reproves! The Almighty's chastening do not reject.

18. ఆయన గాయపరచి గాయమును కట్టును ఆయన గాయముచేయును, ఆయన చేతులే స్వస్థపరచును.

18. For he wounds, but he binds up; he smites, but his hands give healing.

19. ఆరు బాధలలోనుండి ఆయన నిన్ను విడిపించును ఏడు బాధలు కలిగినను నీకు ఏ కీడును తగులదు.

19. Out of six troubles he will deliver you, and at the seventh no evil shall touch you.

20. క్షామకాలమున మరణమునుండియు యుద్ధమున ఖడ్గబలమునుండియు ఆయన నిన్ను తప్పించును.

20. In famine he will deliver you from death, and in war from the threat of the sword;

21. నోటిమాటలచేత కలుగు నొప్పి నీకు తగులకుండ ఆయన నిన్ను చాటుచేయును ప్రళయము వచ్చినను నీవు దానికి భయపడవు.

21. From the scourge of the tongue you shall be hidden, and shall not fear approaching ruin.

22. పొలములోని రాళ్లతో నీవు నిబంధన చేసికొని యుందువు అడవిమృగములు నీతో సమ్మతిగా నుండును.

22. At destruction and want you shall laugh; the beasts of the earth you need not dread.

23. ప్రళయమును క్షామమును వచ్చునప్పుడు నీవు వాటిని నిర్లక్ష్యము చేయుదువు అడవిమృగములకు నీవు ఏమాత్రమును భయపడవు

23. You shall be in league with the stones of the field, and the wild beasts shall be at peace with you.

24. నీ డేరా క్షేమనివాసమని నీకు తెలిసియుండును నీ యింటి వస్తువులను నీవు లెక్క చూడగా ఏదియు పోయి యుండదు.

24. And you shall know that your tent is secure; taking stock of your household, you shall miss nothing.

25. మరియు నీ సంతానము విస్తారమగుననియు నీ కుటుంబికులు భూమిమీద పచ్చికవలె విస్తరించుదురనియు నీకు తెలియును.

25. You shall know that your descendants are many, and your offspring as the grass of the earth.

26. వాటి కాలమున ధాన్యపుపనలు ఇల్లు చేరునట్లు పూర్ణవయస్సుగలవాడవై నీవు సమాధికి చేరెదవు.

26. You shall approach the grave in full vigor, as a shock of grain comes in at its season.

27. మేము ఈ సంగతి పరిశోధించి చూచితివిు, అది ఆలాగే యున్నది.

27. Lo, this we have searched out; so it is! This we have heard, and you should know.
