1. అడవిలోని కొండమేకలు ఈనుకాలము నీకు తెలియునా? లేళ్లు పిల్లలు వేయు కాలమును గ్రహింపగలవా?

1. Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? [Or] canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?

2. అవి మోయు మాసములను నీవు లెక్క పెట్టగలవా? అవి యీనుకాలము ఎరుగుదువా?

2. Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? Or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

3. అవి వంగి తమ పిల్లలను కనును తమ పిల్లలను వేయును.

3. They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, They cast out their pains.

4. వాటి పిల్లలు పుష్టికలిగి యెడారిలో పెరుగును అవి తల్లులను విడిచిపోయి వాటియొద్దకు తిరిగి రావు.

4. Their young ones become strong, they grow up in the open field; They go forth, and return not again.

5. అడవిగాడిదను స్వేచ్ఛగా పోనిచ్చినవాడెవడు? అడవిగాడిద కట్లను విప్పినవాడెవడు?

5. Who hath sent out the wild ass free? Or who hath loosed the bonds of the swift ass,

6. నేను అరణ్యమును దానికి ఇల్లుగాను ఉప్పుపఱ్ఱను దానికి నివాసస్థలముగాను నియమించితిని.

6. Whose home I have made the wilderness, And the salt land his dwelling-place?

7. పట్టణపు కోలాహలమును అది తిరస్కరించును తోలువాని కేకలను అది వినదు.

7. He scorneth the tumult of the city, Neither heareth he the shoutings of the driver.

8. పర్వతముల పంక్తియే దానికి మేతభూమి ప్రతివిధమైన పచ్చని మొలకను అది వెదకుకొనును.

8. The range of the mountains is his pasture, And he searcheth after every green thing.

9. గురుపోతు నీకు లోబడుటకు సమ్మతించునా? అది నీ శాలలో నిలుచునా?

9. Will the wild-ox be content to serve thee? Or will he abide by thy crib?

10. పగ్గము వేసి గురుపోతును నాగటిచాలులో కట్ట గలవా? అది నీచేత తోలబడి లోయలను చదరము చేయునా?

10. Canst thou bind the wild-ox with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

11. దాని బలము గొప్పదని దాని నమ్ముదువా? దానికి నీ పని అప్పగించెదవా?

11. Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? Or wilt thou leave to him thy labor?

12. అది నీ ధాన్యమును ఇంటికి తెచ్చి నీ కళ్లమందున్న ధాన్యమును కూర్చునని దాని నమ్ముదువా?

12. Wilt thou confide in him, that he will bring home thy seed, And gather [the grain] of thy threshing-floor?

13. నిప్పుకోడి సంతోషముచేత రెక్కల నాడించును. రెక్కలును వెండ్రుకలును దాని కున్నందున అది వాత్సల్యము కలదిగా నున్నదా?

13. The wings of the ostrich wave proudly; [But] are they the pinions and plumage of love?

14. లేదుసుమీ, అది నేలను దాని గుడ్లను పెట్టును ధూళిలో వాటిని కాచును.

14. For she leaveth her eggs on the earth, And warmeth them in the dust,

15. దేనిపాదమైన వాటిని త్రొక్క వచ్చుననియైనను అడవిజంతువు వాటిని చితక ద్రొక్కవచ్చుననియైనను అనుకొనకయే యున్నది.

15. And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, Or that the wild beast may trample them.

16. తన పిల్లలు తనవికానట్టు వాటియెడల అది కాఠిన్యము చూపును దాని కష్టము వ్యర్థమైనను దానికి చింతలేదు

16. She dealeth hardly with her young ones, as if they were not hers: Though her labor be in vain, [she is] without fear;

17. దేవుడు దానిని తెలివిలేనిదిగా జేసెను ఆయన దానికి వివేచనాశక్తి ననుగ్రహించి యుండ లేదు.

17. Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, Neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

18. అది లేచునప్పుడు గుఱ్ఱమును దాని రౌతును తిరస్క రించును.

18. What time she lifteth up herself on high, She scorneth the horse and his rider.

19. గుఱ్ఱమునకు నీవు బలమునిచ్చితివా? జూలు వెండ్రుకలతో దాని మెడను కప్పితివా?

19. Hast thou given the horse [his] might? Hast thou clothed his neck with the quivering mane?

20. మిడతవలె అది గంతులు వేయునట్లు చేయుదువా? దాని నాసికారంధ్ర ధ్వని భీకరము.

20. Hast thou made him to leap as a locust? The glory of his snorting is terrible.

21. మైదానములో అది కాలు దువ్వి తన బలమునుబట్టి సంతోషించును అది ఆయుధధారులను ఎదుర్కొనబోవును.

21. He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: He goeth out to meet the armed men.

22. అది భయము పుట్టించుదానిని వెక్కిరించి భీతినొంద కుండును ఖడ్గమును చూచి వెనుకకు తిరుగదు.

22. He mocketh at fear, and is not dismayed; Neither turneth he back from the sword.

23. అంబుల పొదియు తళతళలాడు ఈటెలును బల్లెమును దానిమీద గలగల లాడించబడునప్పుడు

23. The quiver rattleth against him, The flashing spear and the javelin.

24. ఉద్దండకోపముతో అది బహుగా పరుగులెత్తును అది బాకానాదము విని ఊరకుండదు.

24. He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage; Neither believeth he that it is the voice of the trumpet.

25. బాకానాదము వినబడినప్పుడెల్ల అది అహా అహా అనుకొని దూరమునుండి యుద్ధవాసన తెలిసి కొనును సేనాధిపతుల ఆర్భాటమును యుద్ధఘోషను వినును.

25. As oft as the trumpet [soundeth] he saith, Aha! And he smelleth the battle afar off, The thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

26. డేగ నీ జ్ఞానముచేతనే ఎగురునా? అది నీ ఆజ్ఞవలననే తన రెక్కలు దక్షిణదిక్కునకు చాచునా?

26. Is it by thy wisdom that the hawk soareth, (And) stretcheth her wings toward the south?

27. పక్షిరాజు నీ ఆజ్ఞకు లోబడి ఆకాశవీధి కెక్కునా? తన గూడు ఎత్తయినచోటను కట్టుకొనునా?

27. Is it at thy command that the eagle mounteth up, And maketh her nest on high?

28. అది రాతికొండమీద నివసించును కొండపేటుమీదను ఎవరును ఎక్కజాలని యెత్తు చోటను గూడు కట్టుకొనును.

28. On the cliff she dwelleth, and maketh her home, Upon the point of the cliff, and the stronghold.

29. అక్కడనుండియే తన యెరను వెదకును. దాని కన్నులు దానిని దూరమునుండి కనిపెట్టును.

29. From thence she spieth out the prey; Her eyes behold it afar off.

30. దాని పిల్లలు రక్తము పీల్చును హతులైనవారు ఎక్కడనుందురో అక్కడనే అది యుండును.

30. Her young ones also suck up blood: And where the slain are, there is she.
