1. అప్పుడు ఎలీహు మరల ఈలాగు చెప్పసాగెను

1. Eliu proceeding forth in his communication, said:

2. జ్ఞానులారా, నా మాటలు వినుడి అనుభవశాలులారా, నాకు చెవియొగ్గుడి

2. Hear my words, (O ye wise men) hearken unto me, ye that have understanding.

3. అంగిలి ఆహారమును రుచి చూచునట్లు చెవి మాటలను పరీక్షించును.

3. For like as the mouth tasteth the meats, so the ear proveth and discerneth the words.

4. న్యాయమైనదేదో విచారించి చూతము రండి మేలైనదేదో మనంతట మనము విచారించి తెలిసి కొందము రండి.

4. As for the judgment, let us seek it out among ourselves, that we may know what is right.

5. నేను నీతిమంతుడను దేవుడు నా పట్ల న్యాయము తప్పెను

5. And why? Job hath said: I am righteous, but God doth me wrong.

6. న్యాయవంతుడనై యుండియు నేను అబద్దికునిగా ఎంచబడుచున్నాను నేను తిరుగుబాటు చేయకపోయినను నాకు మానజాలని గాయము కలిగెనని యోబు అనుచున్నాడు.

6. I must needs be a liar, though my cause be right, and violently am I plagued where as I made no fault:

7. యోబువంటి మానవుడెవడు? అతడు మంచి నీళ్లవలె తిరస్కారమును పానముచేయుచున్నాడు.

7. where is there such one as Job, that drinketh up scornfulness like water?

8. అతడు చెడుతనము చేయువారికి చెలికాడాయెను భక్తిహీనులకు సహవాసి ఆయెను.

8. Which goeth in company of wicked doers, and walketh with ungodly men:

9. నరులు దేవునితో సహవాసము చేయుట వారి కేమాత్రమును ప్రయోజనకరము కాదని అతడు చెప్పుకొనుచున్నాడు.

9. For he sayeth: Though a man be good, yet is he naught before God.

10. విజ్ఞానముగల మనుష్యులారా, నా మాట ఆలకించుడి దేవుడు అన్యాయము చేయుట అసంభవము. సర్వశక్తుడు దుష్కార్యము చేయుట అసంభవము

10. Therefore hearken unto me, ye that have understanding. Far be it from God, that he should meddle with wickedness: and far be it from the almighty, that he should meddle with unrighteous dealing:

11. నరుల క్రియలకు తగినట్టుగా ఫలము ఆయన వారి కిచ్చును అందరికి వారి వారి మార్గములనుబట్టి వారికి ఫల మిచ్చును.

11. but he rewardeth the works of man, and causeth every man to find according to his ways.

12. దేవుడు ఏ మాత్రమును దుష్కార్యము చేయడు సర్వశక్తుడు న్యాయము తప్పడు.

12. For sure it is, that God condemneth no man wrongously, and the judgement of the Almighty is not unrighteous.

13. ఎవడైన భూమిని ఆయనకు అప్పగింతపెట్టెనా? ఎవడైన సర్వప్రపంచ భారమును ఆయన కప్పగించెనా?

13. Who ruleth the earth in his stead? Or whom hath he set to govern the whole world?

14. ఆయన తన మనస్సు తనమీదనే ఉంచుకొనిన యెడల తన శ్వాసనిశ్వాసములను తనయొద్దకు తిరిగి తీసికొనిన యెడల

14. To whom hath he given his heart, for to draw his spirit and breath unto him?

15. శరీరులందరు ఏకముగా నశించెదరు నరులు మరల ధూళియై పోవుదురు.

15. All flesh shall come together unto naught, and all men shall turn again unto earth.

16. కావున దీని విని వివేచించుము నా మాటల నాలకింపుము.

16. If thou now have understanding, hear what I say, and hearken to the voice of my words.

17. న్యాయమును ద్వేషించువాడు లోకము నేలునా? న్యాయసంపన్నుడైన వానిమీద నేరము మోపుదువా?

17. May he be made whole, that loveth no right? If thou were a very innocent man, shouldest thou then be punished?

18. నీవు పనికిమాలినవాడవని రాజుతోనైనను మీరు దుష్టులని ప్రధానులతోనైనను అనవచ్చునా?

18. For he is even the same, that knoweth the rebellious kings, and sayeth to princes:

19. రాజులయెడల పక్షపాతము చూపనివానితోను బీదలకన్న ధనముగలవారిని ఎక్కువగా చూడని వాని తోను ఆలాగు పలుకుట తగునా? వారందరు ఆయన నిర్మించినవారు కారా?

19. Ungodly men are ye. He hath none respect unto the persons of the lordly, and regardeth not the rich more than the poor. For they be all the work of his hands.

20. వారు నిమిషములో చనిపోవుదురు మధ్యరాత్రి ప్రజలు కల్లోలమునొంది నాశనమగుదురు బలవంతులు దైవికముగా కొనిపోబడెదరు.

20. In the twinkling of an eye shall they be slain: and at midnight, when the people and the tyrants rage, then shall they perish, and be taken away without hands.

21. ఆయన దృష్టి నరుల మార్గములమీద నుంచబడియున్నది ఆయన వారి నడకలన్నియు కనిపెట్టి చూచుచున్నాడు.

21. And why? his eyes look upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

22. దుష్‌క్రియలు చేయువారు దాగుకొనుటకు చీకటియైనను మరణాంధకారమైనను లేదు.

22. There is no darkness nor thick shadow, that can hide the wicked doers from him.

23. ఒకడు న్యాయవిమర్శలోనికి రాకముందు బహుకాలము అతనిని విచారణచేయుట దేవునికి అగత్యము లేదు.

23. For no man shall be suffered to go into judgement with God.

24. విచారణ లేకుండనే బలవంతులను ఆయన నిర్మూలము చేయుచున్నాడు వారి స్థానమున ఇతరులను నియమించుచున్నాడు.

24. Many one, yea innumerable doth he punish, and setteth other in their stead.

25. వారి క్రియలను ఆయన తెలిసికొనుచున్నాడు రాత్రియందు ఆయన నాశనము కలుగజేయగా వారు నలుగగొట్టబడుదురు.

25. For he knoweth their evil and dark works, therefore shall they be destroyed.

26. దుష్టులని బహిరంగముగానే ఆయన వారిని శిక్షించును.

26. They that were in the stead of Sears, dealt like ungodly men.

27. ఏలయనగా వారు ఆయనను అనుసరించుట మానిరి ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలలో దేనినైనను లక్ష్యపెట్టకపోయిరి.

27. Therefore turned they back traitorously and unfaithfully from him, and would not receive his ways.

28. బీదల మొఱ్ఱను ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చునట్లు చేసిరి దీనుల మొఱ్ఱను ఆయనకు వినబడునట్లు చేసిరి.

28. In so much that they have caused the voice of the poor to come unto him, and now he heareth the complaint of such as are in necessity.

29. ఆయన సమాధానము కలుగజేసినయెడల శిక్ష విధింప గలవాడెవడు?ఆయన తన ముఖమును దాచుకొనినయెడల ఆయనను చూడగలవాడెవడు? అది అనేకులను గూర్చినదైనను ఒకటే, ఒకని గూర్చిన దైనను ఒకటే

29. If he deliver and grant pardon, who will judge or condemn? But if he hide away his countenance, who will turn it about again, whether it be to the people or to any man?

30. భక్తిహీనులు రాజ్యపరిపాలన చేయకుండునట్లు వారు ప్రజలను చిక్కించుకొనకుండునట్లు బలవంతులను ఆయన నిర్మూలము చేయుచున్నాడు

30. From the wickedness and sin of the people, he maketh an hypocrite to reign over them.

31. ఒకడునేను శిక్షనొందితిని నేను ఇకను పాపము చేయను

31. For so much as I have begun to talk of God, I will not hinder thee;

32. నాకు తెలియనిదానిని నాకు నేర్పుము నేను దుష్కార్యము చేసియున్న యెడల ఇకను చేయనని దేవునితో చెప్పునా?

32. If I have gone amiss, enform me: if I have done wrong, I will leave off.

33. నీకిష్టము వచ్చినట్లు ఆయన ప్రతికారముచేయునా? లేనియెడల నీవుందువా? నేను కాదు నీవేనిశ్చయింపవలెను గనుక నీవు ఎరిగిన దానిని పలుకుము.

33. Wilt thou not give a reasonable answer? Art thou afraid of anything, seeing thou beganest first to speak, and not I?

34. వివేచనగలవారు జ్ఞానముగలిగి నా మాట వినువారు నాతో నీలాగు పలుకుదురు

34. For else the men of understanding and wisdom, that have heard me, might say: What canst thou speak?

35. యోబు తెలివిమాలిన మాటలాడుచున్నాడు. అతని మాటలు బుద్ధిహీనమైనవి

35. As for Job he hath neither spoken to the purpose nor wisely.

36. దుష్టులవలె యోబు ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చినందున అతడు తుదముట్ట శోధింపబడవలెనని నేనెంతో కోరుచున్నాను.

36. O father let Job be well tried, because he hath turned himself to the wicked:

37. అతడు తన పాపమునకు తోడుగా ద్రోహము కూర్చు కొనుచున్నాడు మనయెదుట చప్పట్లుకొట్టి దేవునిమీద కాని మాటలు పెంచుచున్నాడు.

37. yea above his sins he hath blasphemed, which offense he hath done even before us, in that he striveth against God with his words.
