1. వెండికి గని గలదు పుటమువేయు సువర్ణమునకు స్థలము గలదు.

1. For there is a place for the silver, where it comes, and a place for the gold, where it is refined.

2. ఇనుమును మంటిలోనుండి తీయుదురు రాళ్లు కరగించి రాగి తీయుదురు.

2. For iron comes out of the earth, and brass is hewn out like stone.

3. మనుష్యులు చీకటికి అంతము కలుగజేయుదురు గాఢాంధకారములోను మరణాంధకారములోను ఉండు రత్నములను వెదకుచు వారు భూమ్యంతముల వరకు సంచరింతురు.

3. He has set a bound to darkness, and he searches out every limit: a stone is darkness, and the shadow of death.

4. జనులు తిరుగు స్థలములకు చాల దిగువగా మనుష్యులు సొరంగము త్రవ్వుదురు వారు పైసంచరించువారిచేత మరువబడుదురు అచ్చట వారు మానవులకు దూరముగానుండి ఇటు అటు అల్లాడుచుందురు.

4. There is a cutting off the torrent by reason of dust, so they that forget the right way are weakened; they are removed from among men.

5. భూమినుండి ఆహారము పుట్టును దాని లోపలిభాగము అగ్నిమయమైనట్లుండును.

5. [As for] the earth, out of it shall come bread; under it has been turned up as it were fire.

6. దాని రాళ్లు నీలరత్నములకు స్థానము దానిలో సువర్ణమయమైన రాళ్లున్నవి.

6. Her stones are the place of the sapphire, and her dust supplies man with gold.

7. ఆ త్రోవ యే క్రూరపక్షికైనను తెలియదు డేగ కన్నులు దాని చూడలేదు

7. [There] is a path, the fowl has not known it, neither has the eye of the vulture seen it.

8. గర్వముగల క్రూర జంతువులు దాని త్రొక్కలేదు. సింహము ఆ మార్గమున నడవలేదు

8. Neither have the sons of the proud trodden it, a lion has not passed upon it.

9. మనుష్యులు స్ఫటికమువంటి బండను పట్టుకొందురు పర్వతములను వాటి కుదుళ్ల సహితముగా బోర్ల ద్రోయుదురు.

9. He has stretched forth his hand on the sharp [rock], and turned up mountains by the roots;

10. బండలలో వారు బాటలు కొట్టుదురు వారి కన్ను అమూల్యమైన ప్రతి వస్తువును చూచును.

10. and he has interrupted the whirlpools of rivers, and my eye has seen every precious thing.

11. నీళ్లు ఓడిగిలిపోకుండ వారు జలధారలకు గట్టు కట్టు దురు మరుగైయున్న వస్తువును వారు వెలుగులోనికి తెప్పించు దురు

11. And he has laid bare the depths of rivers, and has brought his power to light.

12. అయితే జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడ దొరకును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలము ఎక్కడ నున్నది?

12. But where has wisdom been discovered? And where is the place of understanding?

13. నరులు దాని విలువను ఎరుగరు ప్రాణులున్న దేశములో అది దొరకదు.

13. A mortal has not known its way, neither indeed has it been discovered among men.

14. అగాధము అది నాలో లేదనును సముద్రమునాయొద్ద లేదనును.

14. The depth said, It is not in me, and the sea said, It is not with me.

15. సువర్ణము దానికి సాటియైనది కాదు దాని విలువకొరకై వెండి తూచరాదు.

15. One shall not give fine gold instead of it, neither shall silver be weighed in exchange for it.

16. అది ఓఫీరు బంగారమునకైనను విలువగల గోమేధికమునకైనను నీలమునకైనను కొనబడునది కాదు.

16. Neither shall it be compared with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx and sapphire.

17. సువర్ణమైనను స్ఫటికమైనను దానితో సాటికావు ప్రశస్తమైన బంగారు నగలకు ప్రతిగా అది ఇయ్యబడదు.

17. Gold and crystal shall not be equaled to it, neither shall vessels of gold be its exchange.

18. పగడముల పేరు ముత్యముల పేరు దానియెదుట ఎత్తనేకూడదు. జ్ఞానసంపాద్యము కెంపులకన్న కోరతగినది

18. Coral and fine pearl shall not be mentioned, but do you esteem wisdom above the most precious things.

19. కూషుదేశపు పుష్యరాగము దానితో సాటికాదు. శుద్ధసువర్ణమునకు కొనబడునది కాదు.

19. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not be equaled to it; it shall not be compared with pure gold.

20. అట్లైన జ్ఞానము ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చును? వివేచన దొరకు స్థలమెక్కడ నున్నది?

20. Where then is wisdom found? And of what kind is the place of understanding?

21. అది సజీవులందరి కన్నులకు మరుగై యున్నది ఆకాశపక్షులకు మరుగుచేయబడి యున్నది.

21. It has escaped the notice of every man, and has been hidden from the birds of the sky.

22. మేము చెవులార దానిగూర్చిన వార్త వింటిమని నాశన మును మరణమును అనును.

22. Destruction and Death said, We have heard the report of it.

23. దేవుడే దాని మార్గమును గ్రహించును దాని స్థలము ఆయనకే తెలియును.

23. God has well ordered the way of it, and He knows the place of it.

24. ఆయన భూమ్యంతములవరకు చూచుచున్నాడు. ఆకాశము క్రింది దానినంతటిని తెలిసికొనుచున్నాడు.

24. For He surveys the whole [earth] under heaven, knowing the things in the earth;

25. గాలికి ఇంత బరువు ఉండవలెనని ఆయన నియమించి నప్పుడు ప్రమాణమునుబట్టి జలములకు ఇంత కొలతయని ఆయన వాటిని కొలిచి చూచినప్పుడు

25. all that He has made; the weight of the winds, the measures of the water.

26. వర్షమునకు కట్టడ నియమించినప్పుడు ఉరుముతో కూడిన మెరుపునకు మార్గము ఏర్పరచినప్పుడు

26. When He made [them], thus He saw and numbered them, and made a way for the pealing of the thunder.

27. ఆయన దాని చూచి బయలుపరచెను దానిని స్థాపనచేసి దాని పరిశోధించెను.

27. Then He saw it, and declared it: He prepared it, and traced it out.

28. మరియు యెహోవాయందలి భయభక్తులే జ్ఞాన మనియు దుష్టత్వము విడచుటయే వివేకమనియు ఆయన నరులకు సెలవిచ్చెను.

28. And He said to man, Behold, godliness is wisdom: and to abstain from evil is understanding.
