1. అప్పుడు తేమానీయుడైన ఎలీఫజు ఈలాగున ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను

1. Is there anyone, even the wisest, who could ever be of use to God?

2. నరులు దేవునికి ప్రయోజనకారులగుదురా? కారు;బుద్ధిమంతులు తమమట్టుకు తామే ప్రయోజనకారులై యున్నారు

2. (SEE 22:1)

3. నీవు నీతిమంతుడవై యుండుట సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవునికి సంతోషమా?నీవు యథార్థవంతుడవై ప్రవర్తించుట ఆయనకు లాభకరమా?

3. Does your doing right benefit God, or does your being good help him at all?

4. ఆయనయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగియున్నందున ఆయన నిన్ను గద్దించునా? నీ భయభక్తులనుబట్టి ఆయన నీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడునా?

4. It is not because you stand in awe of God that he reprimands you and brings you to trial.

5. నీ చెడుతనము గొప్పది కాదా?నీ దోషములు మితిలేనివి కావా?

5. No, it's because you have sinned so much; it's because of all the evil you do.

6. ఏమియు ఇయ్యకయే నీ సోదరులయొద్ద నీవు తాకట్టు పుచ్చుకొంటివి వస్త్రహీనుల బట్టలను తీసికొంటివి

6. To make a brother repay you the money he owed, you took away his clothes and left him nothing to wear.

7. దప్పిచేత ఆయాసపడినవారికి నీళ్లియ్యవైతివి ఆకలిగొనినవానికి అన్నము పెట్టకపోతివి.

7. You refused water to those who were tired, and refused to feed those who were hungry.

8. బాహుబలముగల మనుష్యునికే భూమి ప్రాప్తించును ఘనుడని యెంచబడినవాడు దానిలో నివసించును.

8. You used your power and your position to take over the whole land.

9. విధవరాండ్రను వట్టిచేతులతో పంపివేసితివి తండ్రిలేనివారి చేతులు విరుగగొట్టితివి.

9. You not only refused to help widows, but you also robbed and mistreated orphans.

10. కావుననే బోనులు నిన్ను చుట్టుకొనుచున్నవి ఆకస్మిక భయము నిన్ను బెదరించుచున్నది.

10. So now there are pitfalls all around you, and suddenly you are full of fear.

11. నిన్ను చిక్కించుకొన్న అంధకారమును నీవు చూచుట లేదా?నిన్ను ముంచబోవు ప్రళయజలములను నీవు చూచుట లేదా?

11. It has grown so dark that you cannot see, and a flood overwhelms you.

12. దేవుడు ఆకాశమంత మహోన్నతుడు కాడా?నక్షత్రముల ఔన్నత్యమును చూడుము అవి ఎంతపైగా నున్నవి?

12. Doesn't God live in the highest heavens and look down on the stars, even though they are high?

13. దేవునికి ఏమి తెలియును?గాఢాంధకారములోనుండి ఆయన న్యాయము కనుగొనునా?

13. And yet you ask, 'What does God know? He is hidden by clouds---how can he judge us?'

14. గాఢమైన మేఘములు ఆయనకు చాటుగా నున్నవి, ఆయన చూడలేదుఆకాశములో ఆయన తిరుగుచున్నాడు అని నీవనుకొనుచున్నావు.

14. You think the thick clouds keep him from seeing, as he walks on the dome of the sky.

15. పూర్వమునుండి దుష్టులు అనుసరించిన మార్గమును నీవు అనుసరించెదవా?

15. Are you determined to walk in the paths that evil people have always followed?

16. వారు అకాలముగా ఒక నిమిషములో నిర్మూలమైరివారి పునాదులు జలప్రవాహమువలె కొట్టుకొని పోయెను.

16. Even before their time had come, they were washed away by a flood.

17. ఆయన మంచి పదార్థములతో వారి యిండ్లను నింపినను

17. These are the ones who rejected God and believed that he could do nothing to them.

18. మాయొద్ద నుండి తొలగిపొమ్మనియు సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుడు మాకు ఏమి చేయుననియు వారు దేవునితో అందురు. భక్తిహీనుల ఆలోచన నాకు దూరమై యుండునుగాక.

18. And yet it was God who made them prosperous--- I can't understand the thoughts of the wicked.

19. మన విరోధులు నిశ్చయముగా నిర్మూలమైరనియు వారి సంపదను అగ్ని కాల్చివేసెననియు పలుకుచు

19. Good people are glad and the innocent laugh when they see the wicked punished.

20. నీతిమంతులు దాని చూచి సంతోషించుదురు నిర్దోషులు వారిని హేళన చేయుదురు.

20. All that the wicked own is destroyed, and fire burns up anything that is left.

21. ఆయనతో సహవాసము చేసినయెడల నీకు సమాధానము కలుగునుఆలాగున నీకు మేలు కలుగును.

21. Now, Job, make peace with God and stop treating him like an enemy; if you do, then he will bless you.

22. ఆయన నోటి ఉపదేశమును అవలంబించుము ఆయన మాటలను నీ హృదయములో ఉంచుకొనుము.

22. Accept the teaching he gives; keep his words in your heart.

23. సర్వశక్తునివైపు నీవు తిరిగినయెడలనీ గుడారములలో నుండి దుర్మార్గమును దూరముగా తొలగించినయెడల నీవు అభివృద్ధి పొందెదవు.

23. Yes, you must humbly return to God and put an end to all the evil that is done in your house.

24. మంటిలో నీ బంగారమును ఏటిరాళ్లలో ఓఫీరు సువర్ణమును పారవేయుము

24. Throw away your gold; dump your finest gold in the dry stream bed.

25. అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తుడు నీకు అపరంజిగాను ప్రశస్తమైన వెండిగాను ఉండును.

25. Let Almighty God be your gold, and let him be silver, piled high for you.

26. అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తునియందు నీవు ఆనందించెదవుదేవునితట్టు నీ ముఖము ఎత్తెదవు.

26. Then you will always trust in God and find that he is the source of your joy.

27. నీవు ఆయనకు ప్రార్థనచేయగాఆయన నీ మనవి నాలకించునునీ మ్రొక్కుబళ్లు నీవు చెల్లించెదవు.

27. When you pray, he will answer you, and you will keep the vows you made.

28. మరియు నీవు దేనినైన యోచనచేయగా అది నీకుస్థిరపరచబడునునీ మార్గములమీద వెలుగు ప్రకాశించును.

28. You will succeed in all you do, and light will shine on your path.

29. నీవు పడద్రోయబడినప్పుడుమీదు చూచెదనందువువినయముగలవానిని ఆయన రక్షించును.

29. God brings down the proud and saves the humble.

30. నిర్దోషికానివానినైనను ఆయన విడిపించును. అతడు నీ చేతుల శుద్ధివలన విడిపింపబడును.

30. He will rescue you if you are innocent, if what you do is right.
