1. అందుకు యోబు ఈలాగున ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను

1. Then Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,

2. ఇట్టి మాటలు అనేకములు నేను వినియున్నాను మీరందరు బాధకే కర్తలుగాని ఆదరణకు కర్తలుకారు.

2. Therefore do my thoughts give answer to me, Even by reason of my haste that is in me.

3. ఈ గాలిమాటలు ముగిసిపోయెనా?నీకేమి బాధ కలుగుటచేత నాకుత్తరమిచ్చుచున్నావు?

3. I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame; And the spirit of my understanding answers me.

4. నాస్థితిలో మీరుండినయెడల నేనును మీవలె మాటలాడవచ్చును.నేనును మీమీద మాటలు కల్పింపవచ్చును మీ వైపు చూచి నా తల ఆడింపవచ్చును.

4. Do you [not] know this of old time, Since man was placed on earth,

5. అయినను నేను నా నోటి మాటలతో మిమ్మును బల పరచుదునునా పెదవుల మాటలు మిమ్మును ఓదార్చి ఆదరించును

5. That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless but for a moment?

6. నేను మాటలాడినను నా దుఃఖము చల్లారదునేను ఊరకుండినను నాకేమి ఉపశమనము కలుగును?

6. Though his height mounts up to the heavens, And his head reaches to the clouds;

7. ఇప్పుడు ఆయన నాకు ఆయాసము కలుగజేసియున్నాడు నా బంధువర్గమంతయు నీవు పాడు చేసియున్నావు

7. Yet he will perish forever like his own dung: Those who have seen him will say, Where is he?

8. నా దేహమంతయు నీవు పట్టుకొనియున్నావు.ఇదికూడ నామీద సాక్ష్యముగా నున్నది నా క్షీణత ముఖాముఖిగా సాక్ష్యమిచ్చుచున్నది.

8. He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found: Yes, he will be chased away as a vision of the night.

9. ఆయన తన కోపముచేత నామీద పడి నన్ను చీల్చెను.ఆయన నామీద పండ్లు కొరుకుచుండెను నాకు శత్రువై నామీద తన కన్నులు ఎఱ్ఱచేసెను.

9. The eye which saw him will see him no more; Neither will his place anymore look at him.

10. జనులు నామీద తమ నోరు తెరతురు నన్ను తిట్టి చెంపమీద కొట్టుదురు.వారు ఏకీభవించి నామీద గుంపు కూడుదురు

10. His sons will seek the favor of the poor, And his hands will give back his wealth.

11. దేవుడు నన్ను దుర్మార్గులకు అప్పగించియున్నాడు భక్తిహీనుల వశమున నన్ను ఉంచియున్నాడు.

11. His bones are full of his youth, But it will lie down with him in the dust.

12. నేను నెమ్మదిగానుంటిని అయితే ఆయన నన్ను ముక్కలు చెక్కలు చేసియున్నాడు మెడ పట్టుకొని విదలించి నన్ను తుత్తునియలుగా చేసి యున్నాడు.తనకు నన్ను గురిదిబ్బగా నిలిపియున్నాడు

12. Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, Though he hides it under his tongue,

13. ఆయన బాణములు నన్ను చుట్టుకొనుచున్నవి కనికరములేక నా తుండ్లను పొడిచెనునా పైత్యరసమును నేలను పారబోసెను.

13. Though he spares it, and will not let it go, But keeps it still inside his mouth;

14. కన్నముమీద కన్నమువేసి ఆయన నన్ను విరుగగొట్టెను పరుగులెత్తి శూరునివలె నామీద పడెను.

14. Yet his food in his insides is turned, It is the gall of cobras inside him.

15. నా చర్మముమీద నేను గోనెపట్ట కూర్చుకొంటినినా కొమ్మును ధూళితో మురికిచేసితిని.

15. He has swallowed down riches, and he will vomit them up again; God will cast them out of his belly.

16. నాచేత బలాత్కారము జరుగకపోయిననునా ప్రార్థన యథార్థముగా నుండినను

16. He will suck the poison of cobras: The viper's tongue will slay him.

17. ఏడ్పుచేత నా ముఖము ఎఱ్ఱబడియున్నది నా కనురెప్పలమీద మరణాంధకారము నిలుచుచున్నది.

17. He will not look at the rivers, The flowing streams of honey and butter.

18. భూమీ, నా రక్తమును కప్పివేయకుము నా మొఱ్ఱకు విరామము కలుగకుండునుగాక.

18. That which he labored for he will restore, and will not swallow it down; According to the substance that he has gotten, he will not rejoice.

19. ఇప్పుడు నాకు సాక్షియైనవాడు పరలోకములోనున్నాడు నా పక్షముగా సాక్ష్యము పలుకువాడు పరమందున్నాడు.

19. For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor; He has violently taken away a house, and he will not build it up.

20. నా స్నేహితులు నన్ను ఎగతాళి చేయుచున్నారు.నరునివిషయమై యొకడు దేవునితో వ్యాజ్యెమాడవలెననియు

20. Because he knew no quietness inside him, He will not save anything of that in which he delights.

21. నర పుత్రుని విషయమై వాని స్నేహితునితో వ్యాజ్యెమాడవలెననియు కోరి నేను దేవునితట్టు దృష్టియుంచి కన్నీళ్లు ప్రవాహముగా విడుచుచున్నాను.

21. There was nothing left that he didn't devour; Therefore his prosperity will not endure.

22. కొద్ది సంవత్సరములు గతించిన తరువాత తిరిగి రాని మార్గమున నేను వెళ్లుదును.

22. In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in straits: The hand of everyone who is in misery will come upon him.
