1. షేబదేశపు రాణి సొలొమోనును గూర్చిన ప్రసిద్ధిని వినినప్పుడు గూఢమైన ప్రశ్నలచేత సొలొమోనును శోధింపవలెనని కోరి, మిక్కిలి గొప్ప పరివారమును వెంట బెట్టుకొని, గంధవర్గములను విస్తారము బంగారమును రత్న ములను ఒంటెలమీద ఎక్కించుకొని యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చెను. ఆమె సొలొమోనునొద్దకు వచ్చి తన మనస్సులోని విషయములన్నిటిని గురించి అతనితో మాటలాడెను.

1. Now the queen of Sheba, hearing great things of Solomon, came to Jerusalem to put his wisdom to the test with hard questions; and with her came a very great train, and camels weighted down with spices, and great stores of gold and jewels: and when she came to Solomon she had talk with him of everything in her mind.

2. సొలొమోను ఆమె ప్రశ్నలన్నియు ఆమెకు విడదీసి చెప్పెను; సొలొమోను ఆమెకు ప్రత్యుత్తరము చెప్పలేని మరుగైన మాట యేదియు లేకపోయెను.

2. And Solomon gave her answers to all her questions; there was no secret which he did not make clear to her.

3. షేబదేశపురాణి సొలొమోనునకు కలిగిన జ్ఞానమును, అతడు కట్టించిన నగరును,

3. And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had made,

4. And the food at his table, and all his servants seated there, and those who were waiting on him in their places, and their robes, and his wine-servants and their robes, and the burned offerings which he made in the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.

5. నీ కార్యములనుగూర్చియు జ్ఞానమునుగూర్చియు నేను నా దేశమందు వినిన వర్తమానము నిజవర్తమానమే గాని, నేను వచ్చి దాని కన్నులార చూచువరకు వారి మాటలను నమ్మకయుంటిని.

5. And she said to the king, The account which was given to me in my country of your acts and your wisdom was true.

6. నీ యధిక జ్ఞానమును గూర్చి సగమైనను వారు నాకు తెలుపలేదు. నిన్నుగూర్చి నేను వినినదానికంటె నీ కీర్తి యెంతో హెచ్చుగానున్నది.

6. But I had no faith in what was said about you, till I came and saw for myself; and truly, word was not given me of half your great wisdom; you are much greater than they said.

7. నీ సేవకుల భాగ్యము మంచిది, ఎల్లప్పుడును నీ సముఖమున నిలిచి నీ జ్ఞానసంభాషణ వినుచుండు నీ సేవకులైన వీరి భాగ్యము మంచిది.

7. Happy are your wives and happy these your servants whose place is ever before you, hearing your words of wisdom.

8. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నీవు రాజువై ఆయన సింహాసనముమీద ఆసీనుడవై యుండునట్లు నీయందు అనుగ్రహము చూపినందుకు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రములు కలుగునుగాక. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను నిత్యము స్థిరపరచవలెనన్న దయాలోచన నీ దేవునికి కలిగియున్నందున నీతి న్యాయములను జరిగించుటకై ఆయన నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించెను అని చెప్పెను.

8. Praise be to the Lord your God whose pleasure it was to put you on the seat of his kingdom to be king for the Lord your God: because, in his love for Israel, it was the purpose of your God to make them strong for ever, he made you king over them, to be their judge in righteousness.

9. ఆమె రాజునకు రెండువందల నలుబది మణుగుల బంగారమును విస్తారమైన గంధవర్గములను రత్న ములను ఇచ్చెను; షేబదేశపు రాణి రాజైన సొలొమోనున కిచ్చిన గంధవర్గములతో సాటియైన దేదియులేదు.

9. And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and a great store of spices and jewels: never had such spices been seen as the queen of Sheba gave to Solomon.

10. ఇదియుగాక ఓఫీరునుండి బంగారము తెచ్చిన హీరాము పనివారును సొలొమోను పనివారును చందనపు మ్రానులను ప్రశస్తమైన రత్నములనుకూడ కొనివచ్చిరి.

10. And the servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon, in addition to gold from Ophir, came back with sandal-wood and jewels.

11. ఆ చంద నపు మ్రానులచేత రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకును రాజనగరునకును సౌపానములను, గాయకులకు తంబురలను సితారాలను చేయించెను, అటువంటి పని అంతకుముందు యూదాదేశమందు ఎవ్వరును చూచియుండలేదు.

11. And with the sandal-wood the king made steps for the house of the Lord and for the king's house, and instruments of music for the makers of melody; never before had such been seen in the land of Judah.

12. షేబ దేశపు రాణి రాజునకు తీసికొనివచ్చిన వాటికి అతడిచ్చిన ప్రతి బహుమానములుగాక ఆమె మక్కువ పడి అడిగిన దంతయు రాజైన సొలొమోను ఆమె కిచ్చెను; తరువాత ఆమె తన సేవకులను వెంట బెట్టుకొని మరలి తన దేశమునకు వెళ్లిపోయెను.

12. And King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she made request for, in addition to what she had taken to the king. So she went back to her country with her servants.

13. గంధవర్గములు అమ్ము వర్తకులును ఇతర వర్తకులును కొని వచ్చు బంగారముగాక సొలొమోనునకు ఏటేట వచ్చు బంగారము వెయ్యిన్ని మూడువందల ముప్పది రెండు మణుగులయెత్తు.

13. Now the weight of gold which came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents;

14. అరబీదేశపు రాజులందరును దేశాధిపతు లును సొలొమోనునొద్దకు బంగారమును వెండియు తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.

14. And in addition to what he got from traders of different sorts, all the kings of Arabia and the rulers of the country gave gold and silver to Solomon.

15. రాజైన సొలొమోను సాగగొట్టిన బంగారముతో అలుగులుగల రెండువందల డాళ్లను చేయించెను; ఒక్కొక డాలునకు ఆరువందల తులముల బంగారము పట్టెను.

15. And King Solomon made two hundred body-covers of hammered gold, every one having six hundred shekels of gold in it.

16. మరియు సాగగొట్టిన బంగారముతో మూడువందల కేడెములను చేయించెను; ఒక్కొక కేడెమునకుమూడువందల తులముల బంగారము పట్టెను; వాటిని రాజు లెబానోను అరణ్యపు నగరునందుంచెను.

16. And he made three hundred smaller body-covers of hammered gold, using three hundred shekels of gold for every cover, and the king put them in the house of the Woods of Lebanon.

17. మరియు రాజు దంత ముతో ఒక గొప్ప సింహాసనము చేయించి ప్రశస్త మైన బంగారముతో దాని పొదిగించెను.

17. Then the king made a great ivory seat, plated with the best gold.

18. ఆ సింహాసనమునకు దానితో కలిసియున్న ఆరు బంగారపు సోపానము లును సింహాసనమునకు కట్టి యున్న బంగారపు పాదపీఠమును ఉండెను, కూర్చుండుచోటికి ఇరుప్రక్కల ఊతలుండెను, ఊతలదగ్గర రెండు సింహము లుండెను;

18. There were six steps up to it, and a foot-rest of gold fixed to it, and arms on the two sides of the seat, with two lions at the side of the arms.

19. ఆ యారు సోపానములమీద ఇరుప్రక్కల పండ్రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను, ఏ రాజ్యమందైనను అటువంటి పని చేయబడలేదు.

19. And twelve lions were placed on one side and on the other side on the six steps: there was nothing like it in any kingdom.

20. మరియు రాజైన సొలొమోనునకున్న పానపాత్రలన్నియును బంగారపువై యుండెను; లెబానోను అరణ్యపు నగరుననున్న ఉపకరణములన్నియు బంగారముతో చేసినవి; హీరాముయొక్క పనివారితో కూడ రాజు ఓడలు తర్షీషుకు పోయి మూడు సంవత్సరములకు ఒకమారు బంగారము, వెండి, యేనుగుదంతము, కోతులు, నెమళ్లు అను సరకులతో వచ్చుచుండెను గనుక

20. All King Solomon's drinking-vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the Woods of Lebanon were of the best gold: no one gave a thought to silver in the days of Solomon.

21. సొలొమోను దినములలో వెండియెన్నికకు రానిదాయెను

21. For the king had Tarshish-ships sailing with the servants of Huram: once every three years the Tarshish-ships came back with gold and silver, ivory and monkeys and peacocks.

22. రాజైన సొలొమోను భూరాజులందరికంటెను ఐశ్వర్య మందును జ్ఞానమందును అధికుడాయెను.

22. And King Solomon was greater than all the kings of the earth in wealth and in wisdom.

23. దేవుడు సొలొ మోనుయొక్క హృదయ మందుంచిన జ్ఞానోక్తులను వినుటకై భూరాజులందరును అతని ముఖదర్శనము చేయగోరిరి.

23. And all the kings of the earth came to see Solomon and to give ear to his wisdom, which God had put into his heart.

24. మరియు ప్రతివాడును ఏటేట వెండివస్తువులను బంగారు వస్తువులను వస్త్రములను ఆయుధములను గంధవర్గములను గుఱ్ఱములను కంచరగాడిదలను కానుకలుగా తీసికొనివచ్చెను.

24. And everyone took with him an offering, vessels of silver and vessels of gold, and robes, and coats of metal, and spices, and horses and beasts for transport, regularly year by year.

25. రథములు నిలువయుంచు పట్టణములలోను రాజునొద్ద యెరూషలేములోను సొలొమోనునకు నాలుగువేల గుఱ్ఱపు సాలలును రథములును పండ్రెండువేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులును కలిగి యుండెను.

25. Solomon had four thousand buildings for his horses and his war-carriages, and twelve thousand horsemen whom he kept, some in the carriage-towns and some with the king in Jerusalem.

26. యూఫ్రటీసునది మొదలుకొని ఫిలిష్తీ యుల దేశమువరకును ఐగుప్తు సరిహద్దువరకును ఉండు రాజు లందరి పైని అతడు ఏలుబడి చేసెను.

26. And he was ruler over all the kings from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the limit of Egypt.

27. రాజు యెరూషలేము నందు వెండి రాళ్లంత విస్తారముగా నుండునట్లును, దేవదారు మ్రానులు షెఫేలా ప్రదేశ ముననున్న మేడివృక్షములంత విస్తారముగా నుండునట్లును చేసెను.

27. The king made silver as common as stones in Jerusalem and cedars like the sycamore-trees of the lowlands in number.

28. ఐగుప్తునుండియు సకల దేశములనుండియు సొలొమోనునకు గుఱ్ఱములు తేబడెను.

28. They got horses for Solomon from Egypt and from every land.

29. సొలొమోను చేసిన కార్యములన్నిటినిగూర్చి ప్రవక్తయైన నాతాను రచించిన గ్రంథమందును, షిలోనీయుడైన అహీయా రచించిన ప్రవచన గ్రంథమందును, నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబామునుగూర్చి దీర్ఘదర్శి యైన ఇద్దోకు గ్రంథమందును వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

29. Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not recorded in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the words of Ahijah the prophet of Shiloh, and in the visions of Iddo the seer about Jeroboam, the son of Nebat?

30. సొలొమోను యెరూషలేమునందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిమీద నలుబది సంవత్సరములు ఏలుబడి చేసెను.

30. Solomon was king over Israel in Jerusalem for forty years.

31. తరువాత సొలొ మోను తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పట్టణమందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతనికి బదులుగా అతని కుమారుడైన రెహబాము రాజాయెను.

31. And Solomon went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town of David his father; and Rehoboam his son became king in his place.
