1. సొలొమోను యెహోవా మందిరమును తన నగరును కట్టించిన యిరువది సంవత్సరముల కాలము తీరిన తరువాత

1. At the end of twenty years, during which time Shlomo had built the house of ADONAI and his own palace,

2. హీరాము తనకిచ్చిన పట్టణములను సొలొమోను కట్టించి వాటిలో ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను కాపురముంచెను.

2. Shlomo built up the cities which Huram had given to Shlomo and had the people of Isra'el live there.

3. తరువాత సొలొమోను హమాతుసొబా అను స్థలమునకు పోయి దానిని పట్టుకొనెను.

3. Then Shlomo attacked Hamat-Tzovah and defeated it.

4. మరియు అరణ్య మందుండు తద్మోరుకును హమాతు దేశమందు ఖజానా ఉంచు పట్టణములన్నిటికిని ప్రాకారములను కట్టించెను.

4. He built Tadmor in the desert and all the cities for storing supplies that he built in Hamat.

5. ఇదియు గాక అతడు ఎగువ బేత్‌హోరోను దిగువ బేత్‌హోరోను గవునులు అడ్డగడలుగల ప్రాకారపట్టణములుగా కట్టించెను.

5. He also built Upper Beit-Horon and Lower Beit-Horon, fortified cities with walls, gates and bars;

6. బయలతును, ఖజానా ఉంచు పట్టణములన్నిటిని, రథములుంచు పట్టణములన్నిటిని, గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులుండు పట్టణములన్నిటిని కట్టించెను. మరియు యెరూషలేమునందును లెబానోనునందును తాను ఏలు దేశములన్నిటియందును ప్రాకారపురములుగా కట్టించవలెనని తానుద్దేశించిన పట్టణములన్నిటిని సొలొమోను కట్టించెను.

6. Ba'alat; and all the cities that Shlomo had for storing supplies, all the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and all the other buildings Shlomo wanted to build in Yerushalayim, in the L'vanon and throughout the land he ruled.

7. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సంబంధులు కాని హిత్తీయులలో నుండియు అమోరీయులలోనుండియు, పెరిజ్జీయులలో నుండియు, హివ్వీయులలోనుండియు, యెబూసీయులలో నుండియు, శేషించియున్న సకల జనులను

7. As for all the people still left from the Hitti, Emori, P'rizi, Hivi, and Y'vusi, who were not part of Isra'el,

8. ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు నాశనముచేయక వదలివేసిన ఆ యా జనుల సంతతి వారిని సొలొమోను నేటివరకును తనకు వెట్టిపనులు చేయువారినిగా చేసికొనియుండెను.

8. from their descendants remaining after them in the land, whom the people of Isra'el did not exterminate- from them Shlomo levied [[his forced laborers]], as it is to this day.

9. అయితే ఇశ్రా యేలీయులలో ఒకనినైనను సొలొమోను తన పనిచేయుటకు దాసునిగా నియమింపలేదు; వారిని యోధులుగాను తన అధిపతులలో ప్రధానులుగాను రథములకును గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులకును అధిపతులుగాను నియమించెను.

9. But Shlomo did not raise any of his slaves from the people of Isra'el; rather, these were the soldiers, his chief commanders, and the officials in charge of his chariots and horsemen.

10. వీరిలో శ్రేష్ఠులైన రెండువందల ఏబదిమంది రాజైన సొలొమోను క్రింద అధిపతులై ప్రజలమీద అధికారులై యుండిరి.

10. King Shlomo had 250 chief officers in charge of the people.

11. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల రాజైన దావీదు నగరునందు నా భార్య నివాసముచేయవలదు, యెహోవా మందసమున్న స్థలములు ప్రతిష్ఠితములు అని చెప్పి, సొలొమోను ఫరోకుమార్తెను దావీదు పట్టణమునుండి తాను ఆమెకొరకు కట్టించిన నగరునకు రప్పించెను.

11. Shlomo brought up Pharaoh's daughter from the City of David to the house he had built for her; because he said, 'No wife of mine is going to live in the house of David king of Isra'el, since the [[buildings]] where the ark of ADONAI has been are holy.'

12. అది మొదలుకొని సొలొమోను తాను మంటపము ఎదుట కట్టించిన యెహోవా బలిపీఠముమీద దహనబలులు అర్పించుచు వచ్చెను. అతడు అనుదిన నిర్ణయముచొప్పున

12. Then Shlomo offered burnt offerings to ADONAI on the altar of ADONAI that he had built in front of the vestibule,

13. మోషే యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టి విశ్రాంతి దినములయందును, అమావాస్యలయందును, నియామక కాలములయందును, సంవత్సరమునకు ముమ్మారుజరుగు పండుగలయందును, అనగా పులియని రొట్టెల పండుగయందును వారముల పండుగయందును పర్ణశాలల పండుగయందును యెహోవాకు దహనబలులు అర్పించుచు వచ్చెను.

13. as each day required, offering according to the [mitzvah] of Moshe on [Shabbat]s, at [Rosh-Hodesh] and at the designated times three times a year- the festivals of [Matzah], [Shavu'ot] and [Sukkot].

14. అతడు తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు చేసిన నిర్ణయమునుబట్టి వారి వారి సేవాధర్మములను జరుపుకొనుటకై వారి వారి వంతుల చొప్పున యాజకులను వారి సేవకును, కట్టడనుబట్టి అను దినమున యాజకుల సముఖమున స్తుతిచేయుటకును, ఉప చారకులుగా ఉండుటకును, వంతులచొప్పున లేవీయులను, ద్వారములన్నిటి దగ్గర కావలి యుండుటకై వారి వారి వంతులచొప్పున ద్వారపాలకులను నియమించెను; దైవ జనుడైన దావీదు ఆలాగుననే యాజ్ఞ ఇచ్చియుండెను.

14. As David his father had ordered, he appointed the divisions of the [cohanim] for their service and the [L'vi'im] to their tasks- to praise and to perform their service in the presence of the [cohanim] according to each day's requirements. He also appointed the gatekeepers by their divisions to be at every gate, for David the man of God had so ordered.

15. ఏ విషయమును గూర్చియేగాని బొక్కసములను గూర్చియే గాని రాజు యాజకులకును లేవీయులకును చేసియున్న నిర్ణ యమును బట్టి వారు సమస్తమును జరుపుచువచ్చిరి

15. They did not deviate from the king's order to the [cohanim] and [L'vi'im] in any matter or in regard to the supplies.

16. యెహోవా మందిరమునకు పునాదివేసిన దినము మొదలుకొని అది సంపూర్ణమగువరకు సొలొమోను పని యంతయు చేయించెను; అప్పుడు యెహోవా మందిరము సమాప్త మాయెను.

16. All the work of Shlomo was organized in this way from the day ground was broken for the house of ADONAI until everything had been accomplished, and the house of ADONAI had been completed.

17. సొలొమోను ఎదోము దేశముయొక్క సముద్రపు దరినున్న ఎసోన్గెబెరునకును ఏలతునకును పోగా

17. Shlomo went to 'Etzyon-Gever and Elot on the shore of the sea in the land of Edom.

18. హీరాము తన పనివారిద్వారా ఓడలను ఓడ నడుపుటయందు యుక్తి గల పనివారిని పంపెను. వీరు సొలొమోను పనివారితో కూడ ఓఫీరునకు పోయి అక్కడనుండి తొమ్మిదివందల మణుగుల బంగారమును ఎక్కించుకొని రాజైన సొలొమోను నొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చిరి.

18. Huram sent some of his servants with ships, and others that were experienced sailors who understood the sea; they went with Shlomo's servants to Ofir and took from there fifteen tons of gold, which they brought back to King Shlomo.
