1. అప్పుడు సొలొమోను ఈలాగు ప్రకటన చేసెను గాఢాంధకారమందు నేను నివాసము చేయుదునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు.

1. Then, said Solomon, Yahweh, said, that he would make his habitation in thick gloom;

2. నీవు నిత్యము కాపుర ముండుటకై నిత్యనివాసస్థలముగా నేనొక ఘనమైన మంది రమును నీకు కట్టించియున్నాను అని చెప్పి
అపో. కార్యములు 7:47

2. But, I, have built a house as a home for thee, A settled place for thee to abide in, for ages.

3. రాజు తన ముఖము ప్రజలతట్టు త్రిప్పుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమాజకులందరును నిలుచుచుండగా వారిని దీవించెను.

3. And the king turned about his face, and blessed all the convocation of Israel, while, all the convocation of Israel, was standing;

4. మరియు రాజు ఇట్లు ప్రకటన చేసెనునా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు మాట యిచ్చి, తానే స్వయముగా నెరవేర్చిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రము కలుగునుగాక.

4. and he said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, who spake with his mouth, unto David my father, and, with his hand, hath fulfilled, saying:

5. ఆయన సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగానేను నా జనులను ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి రప్పించిన దినము మొదలు కొని నా నామముండుటకై యొక మందిరమును కట్టింపవలెనని నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రస్థానములలో ఏ పట్టణమునైనను కోరుకొనలేదు, నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులమీద అధిపతిగా నుండుటకై యేమనుష్యునియైనను నేను నియమింపలేదు.

5. From the day I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I made choice of no city, out of all the tribes of Israel, for building a house, where my Name might be, neither made I choice of any man, to be chief ruler over my people Israel:

6. ఇప్పుడు నా నామముండుటకై యెరూషలేమును కోరుకొంటిని, నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులమీద అధిపతిగా నుండుటకై దావీదును కోరుకొంటిని.

6. nevertheless I have made choice of Jerusalem, that my Name might be there, and I have made choice of David, that he might be over my people Israel.

7. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామఘనత కొరకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టింపవలెనని నా తండ్రి యైన దావీదు మనోభిలాష గలవాడాయెను.

7. And so it came to pass, that it was near the heart of David my father, to build a house, to the Name of Yahweh, God of Israel.

8. అయితే యెహోవా నా తండ్రియైన దావీదుతో సెలవిచ్చిన దేమనగానా నామఘనతకొరకు మందిరమును కట్టింపవలెనని నీవు ఉద్దేశించిన యుద్దేశము మంచిదే గాని
అపో. కార్యములు 7:45-46

8. Then said Yahweh unto David my father, Because it was near thy heart to build a house for my Name, thou didst well that it was near thy heart:

9. నీవు ఆ మందిరమును కట్టరాదు, నీకు పుట్టబోవు నీ కుమారుడే నా నామమునకు ఆ మందిరమును కట్టును.

9. Only, thou thyself, must not build the house, but, thine own son, that proceedeth out of thy loins he, shall build the house for my Name.

10. అప్పుడు తాను అట్లు చెప్పియున్న మాటను యెహోవా ఇప్పుడు నెరవేర్చియున్నాడు, యెహోవా సెలవుప్రకారము నేను నా తండ్రియైన దావీదునకు ప్రతిగా రాజునై ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల రాజాసనమందు కూర్చుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవు డైన యెహోవాకు మందిరమును కట్టించి

10. So then Yahweh hath established his word, which he spake, and I have been raised up instead of David my father, and have taken my seat upon the throne of Israel, as spake Yahweh, and have built the house to the Name of Yahweh, God of Israel;

11. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో చేసిన నిబంధనకు గురుతైన మందస మును దానియందు ఉంచితినని చెప్పి

11. and have put there, the ark, wherein is the covenant of Yahweh, which he solemnised with the sons of Israel.

12. ఇశ్రాయేలీయు లందరు సమాజముగా కూడి చూచుచుండగా యెహోవా బలిపీఠము ఎదుట నిలిచి తన చేతులు చాపి ప్రార్థన చేసెను.

12. Then stood he before the altar of Yahweh, in the presence of all the convocation of Israel, and spread forth his hands;

13. తాను చేయించిన అయిదు మూరల పొడవును అయిదు మూరల వెడల్పును మూడు మూరల యెత్తునుగల యిత్తడి చప్పరమును ముంగిటి ఆవరణమునందుంచి, దానిమీద నిలిచియుండి, సమాజముగా కూడియున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయు లందరి యెదుటను మోకాళ్లూని, చేతులు ఆకాశమువైపు చాపి సొలొమోను ఇట్లని ప్రార్థనచేసెను.

13. for Solomon had made a platform of bronze, and had set it in the midst of the enclosure, five cubits, the length thereof, and, five cubits, the breadth thereof, and, three cubits, the height thereof, and he stood thereon, and knelt upon his knees, in the presence of all the convocation of Israel, and spread forth his hands, heavenward;

14. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, హృదయపూర్వకముగా నిన్ను అనుసరించు నీ భక్తులకు నిబంధనను నెరవేర్చుచు కృపను చూపుచు నుండు నీవంటి దేవుడు ఆకాశమందైనను భూమి యందైనను లేడు.

14. and said, O Yahweh! God of Israel, Not like unto thee, is there a god, in the heavens, or throughout the earth, who keepest Covenant and Lovingkindness for thy servants who are walking before thee with all their heart:

15. నీ సేవకుడైన దావీదు అను నా తండ్రితో నీవు సెలవిచ్చినమాట నెరవేర్చియున్నావు; నీవు వాగ్దానముచేసి యీ దినమున కనబడుచున్నట్టుగా దానిని నెరవేర్చియున్నావు.

15. who hast kept, for thy servant David my father, that which thou didst promise him, in that thou didst promise with thy mouth, and, with thy hand, hast fulfilled, as it is this day.

16. నీవు నాముందర నడచి నట్లుగా నీ కుమారులును తమ ప్రవర్తన కాపాడుకొని, నా ధర్మశాస్త్రముచొప్పున నడచినయెడల ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల సింహాసనముమీద కూర్చుండువాడు నా యెదుట నీకుండకపోడని నీవు నీ సేవకుడైన దావీదు అను నా తండ్రితో సెలవిచ్చినమాట, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా యెహోవా, దయచేసి నెరవేర్చుము.

16. Now, therefore, O Yahweh God of Israel, keep thou, for thy servant David my father, that which thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not be cut off to thee a man, from before me, to sit upon the throne of Israel, if only, thy sons take heed to their way, to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

17. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నీ సేవకుడైన దావీదుతో సెలవిచ్చిన మాట ఇప్పుడు స్థిరమవును గాక.

17. Now, therefore, O Yahweh, God of Israel, verified be thy promise, which thou didst make unto thy servant David.

18. మనుష్యులతో కలిసి దేవుడు భూమియందు నివాసము చేయునా? ఆకాశ మును మహాకాశమును నిన్ను పట్టచాలవే; నేను కట్టిన యీ మందిరము నిన్ను పట్టునా?

18. But, in very deed, will God dwell with man on the earth? Lo! the heavens, even the leaven of heavens, cannot contain thee, how much less this house which I have built!

19. దేవా యెహోవా, నీ సేవకుడు నీ సన్నిధిని చేయు ప్రార్థనయందును విన్న పమునందును లక్ష్యముంచి, నీ సేవకుడనైన నేను చేయు ప్రార్థనను పెట్టు మొఱ్ఱను ఆలకించుము.

19. Wilt thou then turn unto the prayer of thy servant and unto his supplication, O Yahweh my God, to hearken unto the cry and unto the prayer, wherewith thy servant is praying before thee:

20. నీ సేవకులు ఈ స్థలము తట్టు తిరిగి చేయు విన్నపములను వినుటకైనా నామమును అచ్చట ఉంచెదనని నీవు సెలవిచ్చిన స్థలముననున్న యీ మందిరముమీద నీ కనుదృష్టి రాత్రిం బగళ్లు నిలుచునుగాక.

20. that thine eyes may be open toward this house, day and night, toward the place of which thou hast said thou wouldst set thy Name there, to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant may pray towards this place:

21. నీ సేవకుడును నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రా యేలీయులును ఈ స్థలముతట్టు తిరిగి చేయబోవు ప్రార్థనలను నీవు ఆలకించుము, ఆకాశముననున్న నీ నివాసస్థలమందు ఆలకించుము, ఆలకించునప్పుడు క్షమించుము.

21. wilt thou therefore hearken unto the supplications of thy servant, and thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place, yea wilt, thou thyself, hear, out of thine own dwelling-place, out of the heavens, and, when thou hearest, then wilt thou forgive?

22. ఎవడైనను తన పొరుగువానియెడల తప్పుచేసినప్పుడు అతని చేత ప్రమాణము చేయించుటకై అతనిమీద ఒట్టు పెట్టబడి ఆ ఒట్టు ఈ మందిరమందుండు నీ బలిపీఠము ఎదుటికి వచ్చినప్పుడు

22. If a man shall sin against his neighbour, and there shall be laid upon him an oath, to put him on oath, and an oath shall come before thine altar in this house,

23. నీవు ఆకాశమందు విని, నీ దాసులకు న్యాయముతీర్చి, హాని చేసినవాని తలమీదికి శిక్ష రప్పించి, నీతిపరుని నీతిచొప్పున వానికిచ్చి వాని నీతిని నిర్ధారణ చేయుము.

23. then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, and act, and judge thy servants, bringing back unto the lawless, to set his way upon his own head, and justifying the righteous, by giving to him, according to his righteousness?

24. నీజనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నీ దృష్టియెదుట పాపము చేసినవారై తమ శత్రువుల బలమునకు నిలువలేక పడిపోయినప్పుడు, వారు నీయొద్దకు తిరిగి వచ్చి నీ నామమును ఒప్పు కొని, యీ మందిరమునందు నీ సన్నిధిని ప్రార్థించి విన్నపము చేసినయెడల

24. Or, if thy people Israel be smitten before an enemy, because they have been sinning against thee, and they turn, and confess thy Name, and pray and make supplication before thee, in this house,

25. ఆకాశమందు నీవు విని, నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు చేసిన పాపమును క్షమించి, వారికిని వారి పితరులకును నీవిచ్చిన దేశమునకు వారిని మరల రప్పించుదువుగాక.

25. then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them back unto the soil, which thou didst give to them and to their fathers?

26. వారు నీ దృష్టియెదుట పాపము చేసినందున ఆకాశము మూయబడి వాన కురియ కున్నప్పుడు, వారు ఈ స్థలముతట్టు తిరిగి ప్రార్థనచేసి నీ నామమును ఒప్పుకొని, నీవు వారిని శ్రమపెట్టినప్పుడు వారు తమ పాపములను విడిచి పెట్టి తిరిగినయెడల

26. When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain, because they have been sinning against thee, and they shall pray towards this place, and shall confess thy Name, from their sin, shall return, because thou hast been afflicting them,

27. ఆకాశ మందున్న నీవు ఆలకించి, నీ సేవకులును నీ జనులునగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు చేసిన పాపమును క్షమించి, వారు నడువవలసిన మంచిమార్గము వారికి బోధించి, నీవు నీ జనులకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చిన నీ దేశమునకు వాన దయ చేయుదువుగాక.

27. then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens and forgive the sin of thy servants, and thy people Israel, that thou mayest direct them into the good way, wherein they should walk, and give rain, upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people, for an inheritance?

28. దేశమునందు కరవుగాని తెగులుగాని కనబడినప్పుడైనను, గాడ్పు దెబ్బగాని చిత్తపట్టుటగాని తగిలినప్పుడైనను, మిడతలుగాని చీడపురుగులుగాని దండు దిగినప్పుడైనను, వారి శత్రువులు వారి దేశపు పట్టణములలో వారిని ముట్టడి వేసినప్పుడైనను, ఏ బాధగాని యే రోగముగాని వచ్చినప్పుడైనను

28. When there shall be, a famine, in the land, when there shall be, a pestilence, when there shall be, blasting or mildew, locust or caterpillar, when their enemy shall besiege them in the land at their own gates-whatsoever plague or whatsoever sickness;-

29. ఎవడైనను ఇశ్రా యేలీయులగు నీ జనులందరు కలిసియైనను, నొప్పిగాని కష్టముగాని అనుభవించుచు, ఈ మందిరముతట్టు చేతులు చాపి చేయు విన్నపములన్నియు ప్రార్థనలన్నియు నీ నివాసస్థలమైన ఆకాశమునుండి నీవు ఆలకించి క్షమించి

29. whatsoever prayer, whatsoever supplication, which any son of earth may have, or any of thy people Israel, when any man shall come to know his plague, or his pain, and so he shall spread abroad his hands towards this house

30. నీవు మా పితరులకిచ్చిన దేశమందు వారు తమ జీవితకాల మంతయు నీయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి

30. then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, the settled place of thine abode, and forgive, and grant to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou wilt know, for, thou thyself alone, knowest the heart of the sons of men:

31. నీ మార్గములలో నడుచునట్లుగా వారి వారి హృదయములను ఎరిగియున్న నీవు వారి సకల ప్రవర్తనకు తగినట్లు ప్రతిఫలమును దయ చేయుదువు గాక. నీవు ఒక్కడవే మానవుల హృదయము నెరిగిన వాడవు గదా.

31. to the end they may revere thee, to walk in thy ways, all the days which they shall be living upon the face of the soil, which thou gavest unto their fathers?

32. మరియు నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల సంబంధులు కాని అన్యులు నీ ఘనమైన నామమును గూర్చియు, నీ బాహుబలమును గూర్చియు, చాచిన చేతులను గూర్చియు వినినవారై, దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చి ఈ మందిరముతట్టు తిరిగి విన్నపము చేసినపుడు

32. Moreover also, unto the stranger who is not, of thy people Israel, but he shall come in out of a far country for the sake of thy great Name, and of thy strong hand, and of thine outstretched arm, and so they shall come in and pray towards this house,

33. నీ నివాసస్థలమగు ఆకాశమునుండి నీవు వారి ప్రార్థన నంగీకరించి, నీ జనులగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తెలిసికొనినట్లు భూజనులందరును నీ నామమును తెలిసికొని, నీయందుభయభక్తులు కలిగి, నేను కట్టిన యీ మందిరమునకు నీ పేరు పెట్టబడెనని గ్రహించునట్లుగా ఆ యన్యులు నీకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టిన దానిని నీవు దయచేయుదువు గాక.

33. then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, out of the settled place of thine abode, and do according to all for which the stranger shall cry unto thee, to the end that all the peoples of the earth may know thy Name, so as to revere thee like thy people Israel, and know that, thy Name, hath been given unto this house, which I have built?

34. నీ జనులు నీవు పంపిన మార్గమందు తమ శత్రువులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకై బయలుదేర నుద్దేశించి, నీవు కోరుకొనిన యీ పట్టణము తట్టును నీ నామమునకు నేను కట్టించిన యీ మందిరముతట్టు తిరిగి విన్నపము చేసిన యెడల

34. When thy people shall go forth to war against their enemies, whithersoever thou mayest send them, and shall pray unto thee in the direction of this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy Name,

35. ఆకాశమునుండి నీవు వారి విన్నపమును ప్రార్థనను ఆలకించి వారి కార్యమును నిర్వహించుదువుగాక.

35. then wilt thou hear, out of the heavens, their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their right.

36. పాపము చేయనివాడెవడును లేడు గనుక వారు నీ దృష్టి యెదుట పాపము చేసినప్పుడు నీవు వారిమీద ఆగ్ర హించి, శత్రువుల చేతికి వారిని అప్పగింపగా, చెరపట్టు వారు వారిని దూరమైనట్టి గాని సమీపమైనట్టి గాని తమ దేశములకు పట్టుకొనిపోగా

36. When they sin against thee for there is no son of earth who sinneth not and thou shalt be angry with them, and deliver them up before an enemy, who shall carry them away as their captives into a land far away or near;

37. వారు చెరకుపోయిన దేశమందు బుద్ధి తెచ్చుకొని మనస్సు త్రిప్పు కొనిమేము పాపముచేసితివిు, దోషులమైతివిు, భక్తిహీనముగా నడచితివిు అని ఒప్పుకొని

37. and they come back to their right mind, in the land whither they have been taken captive, and so turn and make supplication unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done perversely, and been lawless;

38. తాము చెరలోనున్న దేశమందు పూర్ణహృదయముతోను పూర్ణాత్మతోను నీయొద్దకు మళ్లుకొని, తమ పితరులకు నీవిచ్చిన తమ దేశముమీదికిని, నీవు కోరుకొనిన యీ పట్టణముమీదికిని, నీ నామఘనతకొరకు నేను కట్టించిన యీ మందిరముమీదికిని మనస్సు త్రిప్పి విన్నపము చేసినయెడల

38. and so turn unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captive, and shall pray in the direction of their own land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and the city which thou hast chosen, and unto the house which I have built for thy Name,

39. నీ నివాసస్థలమైన ఆకాశము నుండి నీవు వారి విన్నపమును ప్రార్థనను ఆలకించి వారి కార్యమును నిర్వహించి, నీ దృష్టియెదుట పాపముచేసిన నీ జనులను క్షమించుదువుగాక.

39. then wilt thou hear out of the heavens out of the settled place of thine abode their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people, that wherein they sinned against thee?

40. నా దేవా, యీ స్థలమందు చేయబడు విన్నపము మీద నీ కనుదృష్టి యుంచు దువుగాక, నీ చెవులు దానిని ఆలకించునుగాక.

40. Now, O my God, let I beseech thee thine eyes be open, and thine ears attent, unto the prayer of this place.

41. నా దేవా, యెహోవా, బలమున కాధారమగు నీ మందసమును దృష్టించి లెమ్ము; నీ విశ్రాంతి స్థలమందు ప్రవేశించుము; దేవా యెహోవా, నీ యాజకులు రక్షణ ధరించు కొందురుగాక; నీ భక్తులు నీ మేలునుబట్టి సంతోషింతురు గాక.

41. Now, therefore, arise! O Yahweh God, unto thy rest, thou, and the ark of thy strength: Thy priests, O Yahweh God, let them be clothed with salvation, and, thy men of lovingkindness, let them rejoice in prosperity.

42. దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నీచేత అభిషేకము నొందిన వానికి పరాజ్ముఖుడవై యుండకుము, నీవు నీ భక్తు డైన దావీదునకు వాగ్దానముచేసిన కృపలను జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము.

42. O Yahweh God! do not turn away thy face from thine Anointed One, oh remember lovingkindness unto David thy servant.
