1. And Josiah performed a Passover in Jerusalem to Jehovah, and they killed the passover offering on the fourteenth of the first month.

2. And he made the priests stand over their charges, and made them strong for the service of the house of Jehovah,

3. and said to the Levites who were teaching all Israel, who were sanctified to Jehovah, Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon the son of David the king of Israel built; it shall not be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve Jehovah your God, and His people Israel,

4. and prepare by the house of your fathers, according to your courses, by the writing of David the king of Israel, and by the writing of his son Solomon,

5. జనుల ఆ యా భాగములకు లేవీయులకు కుటుంబములలో ఆ యా భాగములు ఏర్పాటగునట్లుగా మీరు పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమందు నిలిచి, వారి వారి పితరుల కుటుంబముల వరుసలను బట్టి జనులైన మీ సహోదరులకొరకు సేవచేయుడి.

5. and stand in the place of holiness, by the divisions of the house of the fathers of your brothers, the sons of the people, and the portion of the house of the father of the Levites;

6. ఆప్రకారము పస్కా పశువును వధించి మిమ్మును ప్రతి ష్ఠించుకొని, మోషేద్వారా యెహోవా యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలను అనుసరించి, దానిని మీ సహోదరులకొరకు సిద్ధపరచుడి.

6. and kill the passover offering and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the Word of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.

7. మరియు యోషీయా తన స్వంత మందలో ముప్పది వేల గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను మేకపిల్లలను మూడువేల కోడెలను అక్కడ నున్న జనులకందరికి పస్కాపశువులుగా ఇచ్చెను.

7. And Josiah lifted up to the sons of the people a flock of lambs and young goats, all for passover offerings, for everyone who was found, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand oxen; these were from the king's substance.

8. And his leaders lifted up for a freewill offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah, and Zechariah, and Jehiel, rulers in the house of God, gave to the priest two thousand and six hundred for passover offerings, and three hundred oxen.

9. కొనన్యాయు, అతని సహోదరులైన షెమయాయు, నెత నేలును, లేవీయులలో నధిపతులగు హషబ్యాయు, యెహీ యేలును యోజాబాదును పస్కాపశువులుగా లేవీయులకు అయిదువేల గొఱ్ఱెలను ఐదువందల కోడెలను ఇచ్చిరి.

9. And Conaniah, and Shemaiah, and Nethaneel, his brothers; and Hashabiah, and Jeiel, and Jozabad, chiefs of the Levites, lifted up to the Levites five thousand for passover offerings, and five hundred oxen.

10. ఈ ప్రకారము సేవ జరుగుచుండగా రాజాజ్ఞనుబట్టి యాజకులు తమ స్థలములోను లేవీయులు తమ వరుసలలోను నిలువబడిరి.

10. And the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the command of the king.

11. లేవీయులు పస్కాపశువులను వధించి రక్తమును యాజకుల కియ్యగా వారు దాని ప్రోక్షించిరి. లేవీయులు పశువులను ఒలువగా

11. And they slaughtered the passover offering and the priests sprinkled out of their hand, and the Levites were stripping;

12. మోషే గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడిన ప్రకారము జనుల కుటుంబముల విభాగము చొప్పున యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా ఇచ్చుటకు దహనబలి పశుమాంసమును యాజకులు తీసికొనిరి.

12. and they removed the burnt offering, to distribute them by the divisions of the house of the fathers of the sons of the people, to offer to Jehovah, as it is written in the book of Moses, and so to the oxen.

13. వారు ఎడ్లనుకూడ ఆ ప్రకారముగానే చేసిరి. వారు విధిప్రకారము పస్కాపశు మాంసమును నిప్పుమీద కాల్చిరిగాని యితరమైన ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణలను కుండలలోను బొరుసులలోను పెనములలోను ఉడికించి జనులకందరికి త్వరగా వడ్డించిరి.

13. And they cooked the passover with fire, according to the ordinance; and they cooked the holy things in pots, and in kettles, and in pans, and carried to all the sons of the people.

14. తరువాత లేవీయులు తమకొరకును యాజకులకొరకును సిద్ధముచేసిరి. అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులు దహనబలి పశుమాంసమును క్రొవ్వును రాత్రివరకు అర్పింపవలసివచ్చెను గనుక లేవీయులు తమ కొరకును అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులకొరకును సిద్ధపరచిరి.

14. And afterward they prepared for themselves, and for the priests; for the priests, the sons of Aaron, were offering up the burnt offering and the fat until nightfall; and the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests; the sons of Aaron.

15. మరియు ఆసాపు సంతతివారగు గాయకు లును, ఆసాపు హేమానులును, రాజునకు దీర్ఘదర్శియగు యెదూతూనును దావీదు నియమించిన ప్రకారముగా తమ స్థలమందుండిరి; ద్వారములన్నిటియొద్దను ద్వార పాలకులు కనిపెట్టుచుండిరి. వారు తమ చేతిలో పని విడిచి అవతలికి వెళ్లిపోకుండునట్లు వారి సహోదరులగు లేవీయులు వారికొరకు సిద్ధపరచిరి.

15. And the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to David's command, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the seer of the king; and the gatekeepers were at each gate; it was not for them to depart from their service, for their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

16. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన యోషీయా యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టి వారు పస్కాపండుగ ఆచరించి, యెహోవా బలిపీఠముమీద దహన బలులను అర్పించుటచేత ఆ దినమున ఏమియు లోపము లేకుండ యెహోవా సేవ జరిగెను.

16. And all the service of Jehovah was prepared on that day, to perform the Passover, and to offer burnt offerings on the altar of Jehovah, according to the command of King Josiah.

17. అక్కడ నున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు, ఆ కాలమందు పస్కాను పులియని రొట్టెల పండుగను ఏడు దినములు ఆచరించిరి.

17. And the sons of Israel who were found performed the Passover at that time, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, seven days.

18. ప్రవక్త యగు సమూయేలు దినములు మొదలుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులలో పస్కాపండుగ అంత ఘనముగా ఆచరింపబడి యుండలేదు. యోషీయాయు, యాజకులును, లేవీయు లును, అక్కడ నున్న యూదా ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును, యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థులును ఆచరించిన ప్రకారము ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజులందరిలో ఒక్కడైనను పస్కాపండు గను ఆచరించి యుండలేదు.

18. And there had not been a Passover performed like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; yea, none of the kings of Israel performed such a Passover as Josiah performed, and the priests, and the Levites and all Judah and Israel who were found, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

19. యోషీయా యేలుబడి యందు పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున ఈ పస్కాపండుగ జరిగెను.

19. In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah, this Passover was performed.

20. ఇదంతయు అయిన తరువాత యోషీయా మందిర మును సిద్ధపరచినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తురాజైన నెకో యూఫ్రటీసు నదియొద్దనున్న కర్కెమీషుమీదికి దండెత్తి వెళ్లుచుండగా యోషీయా అతనిమీదికి బయలు దేరెను.

20. After all this, when Josiah had prepared the house, Necho the king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates; and Josiah went out to meet him.

21. అయితే రాజైన నెకో అతనియొద్దకు రాయ బారులను పంపి - యూదారాజా నీతో నాకేమి? పూర్వమునుండి నాకు శత్రువులగువారిమీదికేగాని నేడు నీమీదికి నేను రాలేదు. దేవుడు త్వరచేయుమని నాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను గనుక దేవుడు నాతోకూడ ఉండి నిన్ను నశింపజేయ కుండునట్లు ఆయన జోలికి నీవు రావద్దని చెప్ప నాజ్ఞాపించెను.

21. And he sent messengers to him, saying, What do I have to do with you, O king of Judah? I am not coming against you today, but toward the house with which I have war; and God said for me to hasten; stop yourself from opposing God, who is with me, and He shall not destroy you.

22. అయినను యోషీయా అతనితో యుద్ధము చేయగోరి, అతనియొద్దనుండి తిరిగి పోక మారువేషము ధరించుకొని, యెహోవా నోటి మాటలుగా పలుకబడిన నెకో మాటలను వినక మెగిద్దో లోయయందు యుద్ధము చేయ వచ్చెను.

22. Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself to fight against him, and did not listen to the words of Necho from the mouth of God; and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

23. విలుకాండ్రురాజైన యోషీయామీద బాణములు వేయగా రాజు తన సేవకులను చూచి - నాకు గొప్ప గాయము తగిలెను, ఇక్కడనుండి నన్నుకొని పోవుడని చెప్పెను.

23. And the archers shot at King Josiah. And the king said to his servants, Carry me out, for I am severely wounded.

24. కావున అతని సేవకులు రథము మీదనుండి అతని దింపి, అతనికున్న వేరు రథముమీద అతని ఉంచి యెరూషలేమునకు అతని తీసికొని వచ్చిరి. అతడు మృతిబొంది తన పితరుల సమాధులలో ఒకదాని యందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను. యూదా యెరూషలేము వారందరును యోషీయా చనిపోయెనని ప్రలాపము చేసిరి.

24. And his servants carried him out from the chariot, and caused him to ride in a second chariot of his, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died and was buried in the graves of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem were mourning for Josiah.

25. యిర్మీయాయు యోషీయానుగూర్చి ప్రలాప వాక్యము చేసెను, గాయకులందరును గాయకురాండ్రంద రును తమ ప్రలాపవాక్యములలో అతని గూర్చి పలికిరి; నేటివరకు యోషీయానుగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఆలాగు చేయుట వాడుక ఆయెను. ప్రలాపవాక్యములలో అట్టివి వ్రాయబడియున్నవి.

25. And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah; and all the singers and the songstresses speak in their lamentations of Josiah to this day, and gave them as a statute in Israel; and behold, they are written in the Lamentations.

26. యోషీయా చేసిన యితర కార్యములన్నిటిని గూర్చియు, యెహోవా ధర్మ శాస్త్రవిధుల ననుసరించి అతడు చూపిన భయభక్తులను గూర్చియు

26. And the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his godly deeds, are according as it is written in the Law of Jehovah.

27. అతడు చేసిన సమస్త క్రియలను గూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలు యూదారాజుల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

27. And his acts, the first and the last, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
