1. సొలొమోను యెహోవా నామఘనతకొరకు ఒక మందిరమును తన రాజ్యఘనతకొరకు ఒక నగరును కట్టవలెనని తీర్మానము చేసికొని

1. Then Solomon gave word to build a house for the Name of Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.

2. బరువులు మోయుటకు డెబ్బది వేలమందిని, కొండలమీద మ్రానులు కొట్టుటకు ఎనుబది వేలమందిని ఏర్పరచుకొని వీరిమీద మూడు వేల ఆరువందల మందిని అధిపతులుగా ఉంచెను.

2. And Solomon numbered seventy thousand men to bear burdens, and eighty thousand men to hew in the mountain, and, to oversee them, three thousand six hundred.

3. సొలొమోను తూరు రాజైన హీరాము నొద్దకు దూతలచేత ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెను నా తండ్రియైన దావీదు నివాసమునకై యొక నగరును కట్టతలచియుండగా నీవు అతనికి సరళ మ్రానులను సిద్ధముచేసి పంపించినట్లు నాకును దయచేసి పంపించుము.

3. And Solomon sent unto Huram king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him a house to dwell in,

4. నా దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని సుగంధ వర్గములను ధూపము వేయుటకును సన్నిధి రొట్టెలను నిత్యము ఉంచుటకును, ఉదయ సాయంకాలముల యందును, విశ్రాంతి దినములయందును, అమావాస్యల యందును, మా దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు ఏర్పాటైన ఉత్సవములయందును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నిత్యమును అర్పింపవలసిన దహనబలులను అర్పించుటకును, ఆయన నామఘనతకొరకు మందిరమొకటి ఆయనకు ప్రతిష్ఠితము చేయబడునట్లుగా నేను కట్టించబోవుచున్నాను.

4. lo! I, am about to build a house for the Name of Yahweh my God, to hallow unto him to burn before him sweet incense, and for a continual setting in array, and to offer ascending-sacrifices morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the appointed feasts of Yahweh our God, age-abiding, is this law for Israel.

5. నేనుకట్టించు మందిరము గొప్పదిగానుండును; మా దేవుడు సకలమైన దేవతలకంటె మహనీయుడు గనుక

5. And, the house which I am about to build, must be great, for great is our God, above all gods.

6. ఆకాశ ములును మహాకాశములును ఆయనను పట్టజాలవు, ఆయ నకు మందిరమును కట్టించుటకు చాలినవాడెవడు? ఆయన సన్నిధిని ఆయనకు మందిరమును కట్టించుటకైనను నేనే మాత్రపువాడను? ధూపము వేయుటకే నేను ఆయనకు మందిరమును కట్ట దలచియున్నాను.

6. But who is able to build unto him a house? for, the heavens, even the heaven of heavens, cannot contain him, who then am, I, that I should build unto him a house, though only to burn incense before him?

7. నా తండ్రియైన దావీదు నియమించి యూదాదేశములోను యెరూషలేములోను నాయొద్ద ఉంచిన ప్రజ్ఞగలవారికి సహాయకుడైయుండి, బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను ఇనుముతోను ఊదా నూలుతోను ఎఱ్ఱ నూలుతోను నీలి నూలు తోను చేయు పనియును అన్ని విధముల చెక్కడపు పనియును నేర్చిన ప్రజ్ఞగల మనుష్యునొకని నాయొద్దకు పంపుము.

7. Now, therefore, send me a wise man, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze and in iron, and in purple and crimson and blue, and skilful to execute gravings, with the wise men who are with me, in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom my father David did provide.

8. మరియు లెబానోనునందు మ్రానులు కొట్టుటకు మీ పనివారు నేర్పుగలవారని నాకు తెలిసేయున్నది.

8. And send me timbers of cedar, cypress and sandal-wood, out of the Lebanon, for, I, know that, thy servants, are skilful, to cut the timbers of Lebanon, and lo! my servants shall be with thy servants:

9. కాగా లెబానోనునుండి సరళమ్రానులను దేవదారుమ్రానులను చందనపుమ్రానులను నాకు పంపుము; నేను కట్టించ బోవు మందిరము గొప్పదిగాను ఆశ్చర్యకరమైనదిగాను ఉండును గనుక నాకు మ్రానులు విస్తారముగా సిద్ధపరచుటకై నా పనివారు మీ పనివారితో కూడ పోవుదురు.

9. yea to prepare me timbers in abundance, for, the house which I am about to build, must be great and most wonderful.

10. మ్రానులుకొట్టు మీ పనివారికి నాలుగువందల గరిసెల దంచిన గోధుమలను ఎనిమిదివందల పుట్ల యవలను నూట నలువదిపుట్ల ద్రాక్షారసమును నూట నలువదిపుట్ల నూనెను ఇచ్చెదను.

10. And lo! for the hewers that cut the timbers, have I given wheat as food for thy servants, twenty thousand measures, and barley, twenty thousand measures, and wine, twenty thousand baths, and oil, twenty thousand baths.

11. అప్పుడు తూరు రాజైన హీరాము సొలొమోనునకు వ్రాసిపంపిన ఉత్తరమేమనగాయెహోవా తన జనమును స్నేహించి నిన్ను వారిమీద రాజుగా నియమించి యున్నాడు.

11. Then answered Huram king of Tyre, in writing, which he sent unto Solomon, Because Yahweh hath loved his people, hath he set thee over them as king.

12. యెహోవాఘనతకొరకు ఒక మందిరమును నీ రాజ్యఘనతకొరకు ఒక నగరును కట్టించుటకు తగిన జ్ఞానమును తెలివియుగల బుద్ధి మంతుడైన కుమారుని రాజైన దావీదునకు దయచేసిన, భూమ్యాకాశములకు సృష్టికర్తయగు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్తుతి నొందునుగాక.

12. And Huram said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth, who hath given, unto David the king, a wise son, skilled in prudence and understanding, who will build a house for Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.

13. తెలివియు వివేచనయుగల హూరాము అనునొక చురుకైన పనివానిని నేను నీయొద్దకు పంపు చున్నాను.

13. Now, therefore, have I sent a wise man, skilled in understanding, pertaining to Huram my father:

14. అతడు దాను వంశపురాలగు ఒక స్త్రీకి పుట్టినవాడు, వాని తండ్రి తూరు సంబంధమైనవాడు, అతడు బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను ఇనుముతోను రాళ్లతోను మ్రానులతోను ఊదా నూలుతోను నీలినూలుతోను సన్నపు నూలుతోను ఎఱ్ఱ నూలుతోను పని చేయగల నేర్పరియైనవాడు. సకలవిధముల చెక్కడపు పనియందును మచ్చులు కల్పించుటయందును యుక్తికలిగి, నీ పనివారికిని నీతండ్రియైన దావీదు అను నా యేలిన వాడు నియమించిన ఉపాయశాలులకును సహకారియై వాటన్నిటిని నిరూపించుటకు తగిన సామర్థ్యము గలవాడు.

14. son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, whose father was a man of Tyre, skilled to work in gold and in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stones and in timber, in purple, in blue and in fine white linen, and in crimson, and to grave any manner of graving, and to devise any manner of device that may be given to him, with thy wise men, and the wise men of my lord David thy father.

15. ఇప్పుడు నా యేలినవాడు చెప్పియున్న గోధుమలను యవలను నూనెను ద్రాక్షారసమును నీ సేవకుల చేతి కిచ్చి వారిని సాగనంపినయెడల

15. Now, therefore, the wheat and the barley, the oil and the wine, whereof my lord hath spoken, let him send unto his servants;

16. మేము నీకు కావలసినమ్రానులన్నియు లెబానోనునందు కొట్టించి వాటిని నీకొరకు సముద్రముమీద తెప్పలుగా యొప్పేకు కొనివచ్చెదము, తరువాత నీవు వాటిని యెరూషలేమునకు తెప్పించుకొన వచ్చును అని వ్రాసెను.

16. and, we, will cut down timbers out of the Lebanon, according to all thy need, and will bring them unto thee in floats, upon the sea to Joppa, and, thou, shalt fetch them up to Jerusalem.

17. సొలొమోను తన తండ్రి యైన దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేశమందుండిన అన్యజాతివారినందరిని, ఎన్నిక వేయించిన యెన్నిక ప్రకారము వారిని లెక్కింపగా వారు లక్ష యెనుబదిమూడువేల ఆరువందలమందియైరి.

17. So Solomon numbered all the men that were sojourners, who were in the land of Israel, after the numbering, wherewith David his father had numbered them, and they were found to be a hundred and fifty-three thousand and six hundred.

18. వీరిలో బరువులు మోయుటకు డెబ్బది వేల మందిని పర్వతములందు మ్రానులు కొట్టుటకు ఎనుబది వేల మందిని, జనులమీద అధిపతులుగానుండి పనిచేయించుటకు మూడువేల ఆరు వందల మందిని అతడు ఏర్పరచెను.

18. And he made up from among them seventy thousand, to bear burdens, and eighty thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred, as overseers, to keep the people at work.
