1. ఇశ్రాయేలునకు తొలిచూలి కుమారుడైన రూబేను కుమారుల వివరము. ఇతడు జ్యేష్ఠుడై యుండెను గాని తన తండ్రి పరుపును తాను అంటుపరచినందున అతని జన్మ స్వాతంత్ర్యము ఇశ్రాయేలు కుమారుడైన యోసేపు కుమా రులకియ్యబడెను; అయితే వంశావళిలో యోసేపు జ్యేష్ఠు డుగా దాఖలుచేయబడలేదు.

1. The sons of Ruben the eldest son of Israel: for he was the eldest. But because he defied his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, and so he is not reckoned unto the birth right.

2. For unto Juda which was mighty among his brethren, was given the principality before him. But the birth right was given Joseph.

3. The sons then of Ruben the eldest son of Israel, were Henoch, Phalu, Hezron and Carmi.

4. యోవేలు కుమారులలో ఒకడు షెమయా, షెమయాకు గోగు కుమారుడు, గోగునకు షిమీ కుమారుడు,

4. The sons of Joel: Samaiah, and his son Gog, and his son Semei,

5. షిమీకి మీకా కుమారుడు, మీకాకు రెవాయా కుమారుడు, రెవాయాకు బయలు కుమారుడు,

5. and his son Micah, and the son of him was Reaiah, and his son was Baal,

6. బయలునకు బెయేర కుమారుడు, ఇతడు రూబేనీయులకు పెద్ద. అష్షూరు రాజైన తిగ్లత్పిలేసెరు అతని చెరతీసికొని పోయెను.

6. and Beerah was his son. Which Beerah Thiglath Phalneser, king of Assiria carried away: for he was a great lord among the Rubenites.

7. But unto his brethren in their kindreds, when they are reckoned after their birth, were Jeiel and Zachariah the chief heads.

8. యోవేలు కుమారుడైన షెమకు పుట్టిన ఆజాజు కుమారుడైన బెల యును. బెల వంశపువారు అరోయేరునందును నెబో వరకును బయల్మెయోనువరకును కాపురముండిరి.

8. And Bala the son of Azan the son of Sema the son of Joel, dwelt in Aroer and so forth unto Nebo and Baalmaon.

9. వారి పశువులు గిలాదుదేశమందు అతివిస్తారము కాగా తూర్పున యూఫ్రటీసునది మొదలుకొని అరణ్యపు సరిహద్దువరకును వారు కాపురముండిరి.

9. And eastward he inhabited until the wilderness, even upon the river Euphrates, for their cattle was much in the land of Gilead.

10. సౌలు దినములలో వారు హగ్రీ యీలతో యుద్ధము జరిగించి వారిని హతముచేసి గిలాదు తూర్పువైపువరకు వారి గుడారములలో కాపురముండిరి.

10. And in the days of Saul they warred with the Hagarites which were overthrown by their hands. And they dwelt in their tents thorowout all the east land of Gilead.

11. గాదు వంశస్థులు వారికెదురుగా బాషాను దేశమందు సల్కావరకు కాపురముండిరి.

11. And the Children of Gad dwelt over against them in the land of Basan, even unto Selcah.

12. వారిలో యోవేలు తెగవారు ముఖ్యులు, రెండవ తెగవారు షాపామువారు. షాపామువారును యహనైవారును షాపాతువారును బాషానులో ఉండిరి.

12. And in Basan Joel was the chiefest and Sapham the next, then Jaanai and Saphat.

13. వారి పితరుల యింటివారైన వారి సహోదరులు ఏడుగురు, మిఖాయేలు మెషుల్లాము షేబయోరై యకాను జీయ ఏబెరు.

13. And their brethren in the ancient households of them, were Michael, Mosolam, Seba, Jorai, Joacan, Zia, Eber and Senen.

14. వీరు హూరీ అనువానికి పుట్టిన అబీహాయిలు కుమారులు. ఈ హూరీ యరోయకు యారోయ గిలాదునకు గిలాదు మిఖాయేలు నకు మిఖాయేలు యెషీషైకి యెషీషై యహదోకు యహదో బూజునకు పుట్టిరి.

14. These were the children of Abihail the son of Hurl the son of Jeroah Gilead the son of Michael the son of Jesisai the son of Jahado the son of Buz.

15. గూనీ కుమారుడైన అబ్దీ యేలునకు పుట్టిన అహీ వారి పితరుల యిండ్లవారికి పెద్ద.

15. Ahi was the son of Abdiel the son of Guni the head of an ancient household among them.

16. వారు బాషానులోనున్న గిలాదునందును దాని గ్రామములయందును షారోనునకు చేరికైన ఉపగ్రామముల యందును దాని ప్రాంతములవరకు కాపురముండిరి.

16. And they dwelt in Gilead and in Basan and her towns, and in all the suburbs of Saron, even unto the end of their borders.

17. వీరందరు యూదా రాజైన యోతాము దినములలోను ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన యరోబాము దినములలోను తమ వంశావళుల వరుసను లెక్కలో చేర్చబడిరి.

17. And they were all reckoned by kindreds in the days of Jotham king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

18. రూబేనీయులలోను గాదీయులలోను మనష్షే అర్ధ గోత్రమువారిలోను బల్లెమును ఖడ్గమును ధరించుటకును అంబువేయుటకును నేర్చినవారు, యుద్ధమందు నేర్పరులై దండుకు పోతగినవారు నలువది నాలుగువేల ఏడువందల అరువదిమంది యుండిరి.

18. The sons of Ruben of Gad and of half the tribe of Manasse, even of fighting men able to bear shield and sword, and shoot with bow, and taught to make war, were four and forty thousand seven hundredth and three score that went out to battle.

19. వీరు హగ్రీయీలతోను యెతూరువారితోను నాపీషు వారితోను నోదాబువారితోను యుద్ధముచేసిరి.

19. And they fought with the Hagarities and with Jesur, Naphas and Nobab.

20. యుద్ధమందు వారు దేవునికి మొఱ్ఱపెట్టగా, ఆయనమీద వారు నమ్మికయుంచినందున ఆయన వారి మొఱ్ఱ ఆలకించెను

20. And they were holp against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hands with all that were with the Hagarites. For they cried to God in their battle, and he heard them, because they trusted to him.

21. గనుక వారిని జయించు టకు వారికి సహాయము కలిగెను. హగ్రీయీలును వారితో ఉన్నవారందరును వారిచేతికి అప్పగింపబడిరి; వారు ఏబది వేల ఒంటెలను పశువులను రెండులక్షల ఏబదివేల గొఱ్ఱెలను రెండువేల గాడిదలను లక్ష జనమును పట్టుకొనిరి.

21. And they took of their cattle fifty thousand camels, and two hundredth and fifty thousand sheep, and two thousand asses, and of the people an hundredth thousand:

22. యుద్ధమందు దేవుని సహాయము వారికి కలుగుటచేత శత్రువులు అనేకులు పడిపోయిరి; తాము చెరతీసికొని పోబడు వరకు రూబేనీయులును గాదీయులును మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రమువారును వీరి స్థానములయందు కాపురముండిరి.

22. for there fell many dead because the war was of God. And they dwelt there in their steads until the time that they were carried away.

23. మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రమువారును ఆ దేశమందు కాపుర ముండి వర్ధిల్లుచు, బాషాను మొదలుకొని బయల్హెర్మోను వరకును శెనీరువరకును హెర్మోను పర్వతము వరకును వ్యాపించిరి.

23. And the children of half the tribe of Manasse dwelt in the land, from Basan unto Baal Hermon and Samir and unto mount Hermon, and they were many.

24. వారి పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైనవారెవరనగా ఏఫెరు ఇషీ ఎలీయేలు అజ్రీయేలు యిర్మీయా హోదవ్యా యహదీయేలు; వీరు కీర్తిపొందిన పరాక్రమశాలులై తమ పితరుల యిండ్లకు పెద్దలైరి.

24. And these were the heads of the ancient households of them: Epher, Jesi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaiah, Jehadiel, men of great power, men of name and heads of the ancient households of them.

25. అయితే వారు తమ పితరుల దేవునిమీద తిరుగుబాటుచేసి, దేవుడు తమ ముందర నాశనము చేసిన జనసమూహముల దేవతలతో వ్యభిచరించిరి.

25. But when they had transgressed against the God of their fathers and had gone awhoring after the gods of the people of the land, which God destroyed before them,

26. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడు అష్షూరు రాజైన పూలు మనస్సును అష్షూరు రాజైన తిగ్లత్పిలేసెరు మనస్సును రేపగా అతడు రూబేనీయులను గాదీయులను మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రమువారిని చెరపట్టి నేటికిని కనబడు చున్నట్లుగా హాలహునకును హాబోరునకును హారాకును గోజాను నదీప్రాంతములకును వారిని కొనిపోయెను.

26. God stirred up the spirit of Phul king of Assiria and the spirit of Thiglath Phalneser king of Assiria, and carried away the Rubenites, the Gaddites and the half tribe of Manasse, and brought them unto Helah, Habor, Hara and to the River Gozan, where they remain unto this day.
