1. And after that David beat the Philistines and subdued them, and took Gath and the towns that longed thereto, out of the hands of the Philistines.

2. అతడు మోయాబీయులను జయించగా వారు దావీదునకు కప్పముకట్టు దాసులైరి.

2. And he beat the Moabites, and the Moabites became David's servants and paid him tribute.

3. సోబా రాజైన హదరెజెరు యూఫ్రటీసునదివరకు తన రాజ్యమును వ్యాపించుటకై బయలుదేరగా హమాతునొద్ద దావీదు అతనిని ఓడించి

3. And David beat Hadadezer king of Zobah unto Hemath, as he went to bring his dominion unto the river Euphrates.

4. అతని యొద్దనుండి వెయ్యి రథములను ఏడువేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను ఇరువదివేల కాల్బలమును పట్టుకొనెను. దావీదు ఆ రథములలో నూరింటికి కావలసిన గుఱ్ఱములను ఉంచుకొని కడమవాటికన్నిటికి చీలమండ నరములు తెగవేయించెను.

4. And David took from him a thousand chariots and seven thousand horsemen and twenty thousand footmen, and brake all the chariots, save that he reserved of them an hundredth.

5. సోబారాజైన హదరెజెరునకు సహాయము చేయవలెనని దమస్కులోని సిరియనులు రాగా దావీదు ఆ సిరి యనులలో ఇరువదిరెండు వేలమందిని హతముచేసెను.

5. Then came the Sirians of Damasco to help Hadadezer king of Zobah. And David slew of the Sirians twenty two thousand,

6. తరువాత దావీదు సిరియా సంబంధమైన దమస్కులో కావలి సైన్యమును ఉంచెను; సిరియనులు దావీదునకు కప్పముకట్టు సేవకులైరి. ఈ ప్రకారము దావీదు పోయిన చోట్లనెల్ల యెహోవా అతనికి సహాయముచేయుచు వచ్చెను.

6. and put garrisons in Siria Damasco: And the Sirians became David's servants and brought him tribute. For the LORD holp David in all that he went to.

7. మరియు హదరెజెరు సేవకులు పట్టుకొనియున్న బంగారు డాళ్లను దావీదు తీసికొని యెరూషలేమునకు చేర్చెను.

7. And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.

8. హదరెజెరుయొక్క పట్టణములైన టిబ్హతులో నుండియు, కూనులోనుండియు దావీదు బహు విస్తారమైన యిత్తడిని తీసికొని వచ్చెను. దానితో సొలొమోను ఇత్తడి సముద్రమును స్తంభములును ఇత్తడి వస్తువులను చేయించెను.

8. And from Thebahath and Chun, cities of Hadadezer, brought David exceeding much brass. Wherewith Salomon made the brazen sea and the pillars and the vessels of brass.

9. దావీదు సోబారాజైన హదరెజెరుయొక్క సైన్య మంతటిని ఓడించిన వర్తమానము హమాతురాజైనతోహూకు వినబడెను.

9. And when Thou king of Hemath, heard how David had beat all the host of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

10. హదరెజెరునకును తోహూకును విరోధము కలిగియుండెను గనుక రాజైన దావీదు హదరెజెరుతో యుద్ధముచేసి అతని నోడించినందుకై దావీదుయొక్క క్షేమము తెలిసికొనుటకును, అతనితో శుభవచనములుపలుకుటకును, బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను చేయబడిన సకల విధములైన పాత్రలనిచ్చి, తోహూ తన కుమారుడైన హదోరమును అతనియొద్దకు పంపెను.

10. he sent Haduram his son to king David, to salute him and to bless him, because he had fought with Hadadezer and beaten him (for Thou had war with Hadadezer) and sent all manner of Jewels of gold, silver and brass with him.

11. ఈ వస్తువులను కూడ రాజైన దావీదు తాను ఎదో మీయులయొద్దనుండియు, మోయాబీయులయొద్ద నుండియు, అమ్మోనీయులయొద్ద నుండియు, ఫిలిష్తీయుల యొద్దనుండియు, అమాలేకీయులయొద్ద నుండియు తీసికొనిన వెండి బంగారములతో పాటుగా యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠించెను.

11. And king David dedicated them also unto the LORD with the silver and gold that he brought from all nations, from the Edomites, from the Moabites, from the children of Ammon, from the Philistines, from the Amalekites.

12. మరియు సెరూయా కుమారుడైన అబీషై ఉప్పులోయలో ఎదోమీయులలో పదునెనిమిది వేల మందిని హతము చేసెను.

12. And Abisai the son of Zaruiah slew of the Edomites in the salt valley eighteen thousand,

13. దావీదు ఎదోములో కావలి సైన్యమును ఉంచెను, ఎదోమీయులందరును అతనికి సేవకు లైరి, దావీదు పోయిన చోట్లనెల్ల యెహోవా అతని రక్షించెను.

13. and put Soldiers in Edom, and all Edom became David's servants: for the LORD kept David in all that he took in hand.

14. ఈ ప్రకారము దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిమీదను రాజైయుండి తన జనులందరికిని నీతిన్యాయములను జరిగిం చెను.

14. And David reigned over all Israel and did right and equity unto all his people.

15. సెరూయా కుమారుడైన యోవాబు సైన్యాధిపతియై యుండెను; అహీలూదు కుమారుడైన యెహోషా పాతు రాజ్యపు దస్తావేజుల మీద నుండెను;

15. And Joab the son of Zaruiah was over the host, and Jehosaphat the son of Ahilud recorder,

16. అహీటూబు కుమారుడైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారు కుమారుడైన అబీమెలెకును యాజకులు, షవ్షా శాస్త్రి;

16. and Zadock the son of Ahitob and Abimelech the son of Abiathar were the priests, and Susa was scribe,

17. యెహోయాదా కుమారుడైన బెనాయా కెరేతీయులకును పెలేతీయులకును అధిపతియై యుండెను; మరియు దావీదుయొక్క కుమారులు రాజునకు సహాయులై యుండిరి.

17. and Banaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cerethites and the Phelethites and the eldest sons of David waited at the king's hand.
