1. And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.

2. అతడు మోయాబీయులను జయించగా వారు దావీదునకు కప్పముకట్టు దాసులైరి.

2. And he smote Moab, and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.

3. సోబా రాజైన హదరెజెరు యూఫ్రటీసునదివరకు తన రాజ్యమును వ్యాపించుటకై బయలుదేరగా హమాతునొద్ద దావీదు అతనిని ఓడించి

3. And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.

4. అతని యొద్దనుండి వెయ్యి రథములను ఏడువేల గుఱ్ఱపు రౌతులను ఇరువదివేల కాల్బలమును పట్టుకొనెను. దావీదు ఆ రథములలో నూరింటికి కావలసిన గుఱ్ఱములను ఉంచుకొని కడమవాటికన్నిటికి చీలమండ నరములు తెగవేయించెను.

4. And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.

5. సోబారాజైన హదరెజెరునకు సహాయము చేయవలెనని దమస్కులోని సిరియనులు రాగా దావీదు ఆ సిరి యనులలో ఇరువదిరెండు వేలమందిని హతముచేసెను.

5. And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.

6. తరువాత దావీదు సిరియా సంబంధమైన దమస్కులో కావలి సైన్యమును ఉంచెను; సిరియనులు దావీదునకు కప్పముకట్టు సేవకులైరి. ఈ ప్రకారము దావీదు పోయిన చోట్లనెల్ల యెహోవా అతనికి సహాయముచేయుచు వచ్చెను.

6. And David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David's, servants, bearers of a present, so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.

7. మరియు హదరెజెరు సేవకులు పట్టుకొనియున్న బంగారు డాళ్లను దావీదు తీసికొని యెరూషలేమునకు చేర్చెను.

7. And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem;

8. హదరెజెరుయొక్క పట్టణములైన టిబ్హతులో నుండియు, కూనులోనుండియు దావీదు బహు విస్తారమైన యిత్తడిని తీసికొని వచ్చెను. దానితో సొలొమోను ఇత్తడి సముద్రమును స్తంభములును ఇత్తడి వస్తువులను చేయించెను.

8. also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.

9. దావీదు సోబారాజైన హదరెజెరుయొక్క సైన్య మంతటిని ఓడించిన వర్తమానము హమాతురాజైనతోహూకు వినబడెను.

9. And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,

10. హదరెజెరునకును తోహూకును విరోధము కలిగియుండెను గనుక రాజైన దావీదు హదరెజెరుతో యుద్ధముచేసి అతని నోడించినందుకై దావీదుయొక్క క్షేమము తెలిసికొనుటకును, అతనితో శుభవచనములుపలుకుటకును, బంగారముతోను వెండితోను ఇత్తడితోను చేయబడిన సకల విధములైన పాత్రలనిచ్చి, తోహూ తన కుమారుడైన హదోరమును అతనియొద్దకు పంపెను.

10. he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, and he had with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;

11. ఈ వస్తువులను కూడ రాజైన దావీదు తాను ఎదో మీయులయొద్దనుండియు, మోయాబీయులయొద్ద నుండియు, అమ్మోనీయులయొద్ద నుండియు, ఫిలిష్తీయుల యొద్దనుండియు, అమాలేకీయులయొద్ద నుండియు తీసికొనిన వెండి బంగారములతో పాటుగా యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠించెను.

11. them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

12. మరియు సెరూయా కుమారుడైన అబీషై ఉప్పులోయలో ఎదోమీయులలో పదునెనిమిది వేల మందిని హతము చేసెను.

12. Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, eighteen thousand;

13. దావీదు ఎదోములో కావలి సైన్యమును ఉంచెను, ఎదోమీయులందరును అతనికి సేవకు లైరి, దావీదు పోయిన చోట్లనెల్ల యెహోవా అతని రక్షించెను.

13. and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.

14. ఈ ప్రకారము దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిమీదను రాజైయుండి తన జనులందరికిని నీతిన్యాయములను జరిగిం చెను.

14. So David reigned over all Israel, and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;

15. సెరూయా కుమారుడైన యోవాబు సైన్యాధిపతియై యుండెను; అహీలూదు కుమారుడైన యెహోషా పాతు రాజ్యపు దస్తావేజుల మీద నుండెను;

15. and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;

16. అహీటూబు కుమారుడైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారు కుమారుడైన అబీమెలెకును యాజకులు, షవ్షా శాస్త్రి;

16. and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, and, Shavsha, was scribe;

17. యెహోయాదా కుమారుడైన బెనాయా కెరేతీయులకును పెలేతీయులకును అధిపతియై యుండెను; మరియు దావీదుయొక్క కుమారులు రాజునకు సహాయులై యుండిరి.

17. and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
