1. ఈ సంగతులైన తరువాత యెజ్రెయేలులో షోమ్రోను రాజైన అహాబు నగరును ఆనుకొని యెజ్రెయేలువాడైన నాబోతునకు ఒక ద్రాక్షతోట కలిగియుండగా

1. Now Naboth the Jezreelite had a vine-garden in Jezreel, near the house of Ahab, king of Samaria.

2. అహాబు నాబోతును పిలిపించినీ ద్రాక్ష తోట నా నగరును ఆనుకొని యున్నది గనుక అది నాకు కూరతోటకిమ్ము దానికి ప్రతిగా దానికంటె మంచి ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిచ్చెదను, లేదా నీకు అనుకూలమైన యెడల దానిని క్రయమునకిమ్మని అడిగెను.

2. And Ahab said to Naboth, Give me your vine-garden so that I may have it for a garden of sweet plants, for it is near my house; and let me give you a better vine-garden in exchange, or, if it seems good to you, let me give you its value in money.

3. అందుకు నాబోతు - నా పిత్రార్జితమును నీ కిచ్చుటకు నాకు ఎంతమాత్రమును వల్లపడదని చెప్పగా

3. But Naboth said to Ahab, By the Lord, far be it from me to give you the heritage of my fathers.

4. నా - పిత్రార్జితమును నీ కియ్యనని యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు తనతో చెప్పిన దానిని బట్టి అహాబు మూతి ముడుచుకొనినవాడై కోపముతో తన నగరునకు పోయి మంచముమీద పరుండి యెవరితోను మాటలాడకయు భోజనము చేయకయు ఉండెను.

4. So Ahab came into his house bitter and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said to him, I will not give you the heritage of my fathers. And stretching himself on the bed with his face turned away, he would take no food.

5. అంతట అతని భార్యయైన యెజెబెలు వచ్చినీవు మూతి ముడుచుకొనినవాడవై భోజనము చేయక యుండెదవేమని అతని నడుగగా

5. But Jezebel, his wife, came to him and said, Why is your spirit so bitter that you have no desire for food?

6. అతడు ఆమెతో ఇట్లనెనునీ ద్రాక్షతోటను క్రయమునకు నాకిమ్ము; లేక నీకు అనుకూలమైనయెడల దానికి మారుగా మరియొక ద్రాక్షతోట నీ కిచ్చెదనని, యెజ్రె యేలీయుడైన నాబోతుతో నేను చెప్పగా అతడునా ద్రాక్షతోట నీ కియ్యననెను.

6. And he said to her, Because I was talking to Naboth the Jezreelite, and I said to him, Let me have your vine-garden for a price, or, if it is pleasing to you, I will give you another vine-garden for it: and he said, I will not give you my vine-garden.

7. అందు కతని భార్యయైన యెజెబెలుఇశ్రాయేలులో నీవిప్పుడు రాజ్యపరిపాలనము చేయుటలేదా? లేచి భోజనము చేసి మనస్సులో సంతోషముగా ఉండుము; నేనే యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిప్పించెదనని అతనితో చెప్పి

7. Then Jezebel, his wife, said, Are you now the ruler of Israel? Get up, take food, and let your heart be glad; I will give you the vine-garden of Naboth the Jezreelite.

8. అహాబు పేరట తాకీదు వ్రాయించి అతని ముద్రతో ముద్రించి, ఆ తాకీదును నాబోతు నివాసము చేయుచున్న పట్టణపు పెద్దలకును సామంతులకును పంపెను.

8. So she sent a letter in Ahab's name, stamped with his stamp, to the responsible men and the chiefs who were in authority with Naboth.

9. ఆ తాకీదులో వ్రాయించిన దేమనగాఉపవాసదినము జరుగవలెనని మీరు చాటించి నాబోతును జనులయెదుట నిలువబెట్టి

9. And in the letter she said, Let a time of public sorrow be fixed, and put Naboth at the head of the people;

10. నీవు దేవునిని రాజును దూషించితివని అతనిమీద సాక్ష్యము పలుకుటకు పనికిమాలిన యిద్దరు మనుష్యులను సిద్ధపరచుడి; తీర్పు అయినమీదట అతని బయటికి తీసికొని పోయి రాళ్లతో చావగొట్టుడి.

10. And get two good-for-nothing persons to come before him and give witness that he has been cursing God and the king. Then take him out and have him stoned to death.

11. అతని పట్టణపు పెద్దలును పట్టణమందు నివసించు సామంతులును యెజెబెలు తమకు పంపిన తాకీదు ప్రకారముగా జరిగించిరి.

11. So the responsible men and the chiefs who were in authority in his town, did as Jezebel had said in the letter she sent them.

12. ఎట్లనగా వారు ఉపవాసదినము చాటించి నాబోతును జనుల యెదుట నిలువబెట్టిరి.

12. They gave orders for a day of public sorrow, and put Naboth at the head of the people.

13. అప్పుడు పనికిమాలిన యిద్దరు మనుష్యులు సమాజములో ప్రవేశించి అతని యెదుట కూర్చుండినాబోతు దేవునిని రాజును దూషించెనని జనుల సమక్షమున నాబోతుమీద సాక్ష్యము పలుకగా వారు పట్టణము బయటికి అతనిని తీసికొని పోయి రాళ్లతో చావగొట్టిరి.

13. And the two good-for-nothing persons came in and took their seats before him and gave witness against Naboth, in front of the people, saying, Naboth has been cursing God and the king. Then they took him outside the town and had him stoned to death.

14. నాబోతు రాతిదెబ్బలచేత మరణమాయెనని వారు యెజె బెలునకు వర్తమానము పంపగా

14. And they sent word to Jezebel, saying, Naboth has been stoned and is dead.

15. నాబోతు రాతి దెబ్బల చేత మరణమాయెనని యెజెబెలు వినినాబోతు సజీవుడు కాడు, అతడు చనిపోయెను గనుక నీవు లేచి యెజ్రె యేలీయుడైన నాబోతు క్రయమునకు నీకియ్యనొల్లక పోయిన అతని ద్రాక్షతోటను స్వాధీనపరచుకొనుమని అహాబుతో చెప్పెను.

15. Then Jezebel, hearing that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, said to Ahab, Get up and take as your heritage the vine-garden of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he would not give you for money, for Naboth is no longer living but is dead.

16. నాబోతు చనిపోయెనని అహాబు విని లేచి యెజ్రెయేలీయుడైన నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోటను స్వాధీన పరచుకొనబోయెను.

16. So Ahab, hearing that Naboth was dead, went down to the vine-garden of Naboth the Jezreelite to take it as his heritage.

17. అప్పుడు యెహోవావాక్కు తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

17. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

18. నీవు లేచి షోమ్రోనులోనున్న ఇశ్రాయేలురాజైన అహాబును ఎదు ర్కొనుటకు బయలుదేరుము, అతడు నాబోతుయొక్క ద్రాక్షతోటలో ఉన్నాడు; అతడు దానిని స్వాధీనపరచు కొనబోయెను.

18. Go down to Ahab, king of Israel, in Samaria; see, he is in the vine-garden of Naboth the Jezreelite, where he has gone to take it as his heritage.

19. నీవు అతని చూచి యీలాగు ప్రకటిం చుముయెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాదీని స్వాధీన పరచుకొనవలెనని నీవు నాబోతును చంపితివిగదా. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాఏ స్థలమందు కుక్కలు నాబోతు రక్తమును నాకెనో ఆ స్థలమందే కుక్కలు నీ రక్తమును నిజముగా నాకునని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

19. Say to him, The Lord says, Have you put a man to death and taken his heritage? Then say to him, The Lord says, In the place where dogs have been drinking the blood of Naboth, there will your blood become the drink of dogs.

20. అంతట అహాబు ఏలీయాను చూచినా పగవాడా, నీ చేతిలో నేను చిక్కుబడితినా? అని పలుకగా ఏలీయా ఇట్లనెనుయెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడు చేయుటకు నిన్ను నీవే అమ్ముకొని యున్నావు గనుక నా చేతిలో నీవు చిక్కితివి.

20. And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you come face to face with me, O my hater? And he said, I have come to you because you have given yourself up to do evil in the eyes of the Lord.

21. అందుకు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునేను నీ మీదికి అపా యము రప్పించెదను; నీ సంతతివారిని నాశముచేతును; అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిలో అహాబు పక్షమున ఎవరును లేకుండ పురుషులనందరిని నిర్మూలముచేతును.

21. See, I will send evil on you and put an end to you completely, cutting off from Ahab every male child, him who is shut up and him who goes free in Israel;

22. ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకు నీవు కారకుడవై నాకు కోపము పుట్టించితివి గనుక నెబాతు కుమారుడైన యరొబాము కుటుంబమునకును అహీయా కుమారుడైన బయెషా కుటుంబమునకును నేను చేసినట్లు నీ కుటుంబమునకు చేయుదునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

22. And I will make your family like the family of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, and like the family of Baasha, the son of Ahijah, because you have made me angry, and have made Israel do evil.

23. మరియు యెజెబెలునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగాయెజ్రెయేలు ప్రాకారమునొద్ద కుక్కలు యెజెబెలును తినివేయును.

23. And of Jezebel the Lord said, Jezebel will become food for dogs in the heritage of Jezreel.

24. పట్టణమందు చచ్చు అహాబు సంబంధికులను కుక్కలు తినివేయును; బయటిభూములలో చచ్చువారిని ఆకాశపక్షులు తినివేయును అని చెప్పెను

24. Any man of the family of Ahab who comes to his death in the town will become food for the dogs; and he who comes to his death in the open country will be food for the birds of the air.

25. తన భార్యయైన యెజెబెలు ప్రేరేపణచేత యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేయ తన్ను తాను అమ్ముకొనిన అహాబువంటి వాడు ఎవ్వడును లేడు.

25. (There was no one like Ahab, who gave himself up to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, moved to it by Jezebel his wife.

26. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుట నిలువకుండ యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన అమోరీయుల ఆచారరీతిగా విగ్రహములను పెట్టుకొని అతడు బహు హేయముగా ప్రవర్తించెను.

26. He did a very disgusting thing in going after false gods, doing all the things the Amorites did, whom the Lord sent out before the children of Israel.)

27. అహాబు ఆ మాటలు విని తన వస్త్ర ములను చింపు కొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని ఉపవాసముండి, గోనెపట్టమీద పరుండి వ్యాకులపడుచుండగా

27. Hearing these words, Ahab, in great grief, put haircloth on his flesh and went without food, sleeping in haircloth, and going about quietly.

28. యెహోవా వాక్కు తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

28. Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

29. అహాబు నాకు భయపడి వినయముగా ప్రవర్తించుట చూచితివా? నాకు భయపడి అతడు వినయముగా ప్రవర్తించుటచేత ఆ అపాయము అతని కాలమునందు సంభవింపకుండ ఆపి, అతని కుమారుని కాలమునందు అతని కుటుంబికులమీదికి నేను దాని రప్పించెదను.

29. Do you see how Ahab has made himself low before me? because he has made himself low before me, I will not send the evil in his life-time, but in his son's time I will send the evil on his family.
