1. ఆ కాలమున యరొబాము కుమారుడైన అబీయా కాయిలాపడగా

1. At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam was sick.

2. యరొబాము తన భార్యతో ఇట్లనెనునీవు లేచి యరొబాము భార్యౌవని తెలియబడకుండ మారువేషము వేసికొని షిలోహునకు పొమ్ము; ఈ జనుల మీద నేను రాజునగుదునని నాకు సమాచారము తెలియ జెప్పిన ప్రవక్తయగు అహీయా అక్కడ ఉన్నాడు.

2. And Jeroboam said to his wife, Please rise up and disguise yourself, that you may not be known to be the wife of Jeroboam. And you shall go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there. He spoke to me of being king over this people.

3. కాబట్టి నీవు పది రొట్టెలును అప్పములును ఒక బుడ్డితేనెయు చేత పట్టుకొని అతని దర్శించుము. బిడ్డయేమగునో అతడు నీకు తెలియజేయునని చెప్పగా

3. And you shall take ten loaves in your hand, and biscuits, and a flask of honey, and come to him. He will tell you what shall become of the boy.

4. యరొబాము భార్య ఆ ప్రకారము లేచి షిలోహునకు పోయి అహీయా యింటికి వచ్చెను. అహీయా వృద్ధాప్యముచేత కండ్లు కానరాని వాడై యుండెను.

4. And Jeroboam's wife did so, and rose up and went to Shiloh and entered the house of Ahijah. And Ahijah was not able to see, for his eyes were set because of his age.

5. అంతట యెహోవా అహీయాతో సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగాయరొబాము కుమారుడు కాయిలాగా ఉన్నాడు గనుక అతనిగూర్చి నీచేత విచా రించుటకై యరొబాము భార్య వచ్చుచున్నది ఆమె మారువేషము వేసికొని మరియొకతెయైనట్టుగా వచ్చుచున్నది గనుక నేను నీకు సెలవిచ్చునట్టు నీవు ఆమెతో చెప్పవలెను.

5. And Jehovah said to Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to ask a thing of you for her son, for he is sick. You shall say this and this to her, and it shall be when she comes in, she will act as a foreigner.

6. అంతలో అహీయా ద్వారము లోపలికి వచ్చు నామె కాలిచప్పుడు విని ఆమెతో ఇట్లనెనుయరొబాము భార్యా, లోపలికి రమ్ము; నీవు వేషము వేసి కొని వచ్చుటయేల? కఠినమైన మాటలు నీకు చెప్పవలెనని నాకు ఆజ్ఞయాయెను.

6. And it happened when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet as she came in the door, he said, Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why are you acting as a foreigner? And I am sent to you with a hard thing.

7. నీవు వెళ్లి యరొబాముతో చెప్ప వలసినదేమనగాఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈ ప్రకారము సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడునేను నిన్ను జను లలోనుండి తీసి హెచ్చింపజేసి, ఇశ్రాయేలువారను నా జనులమీద నిన్ను అధికారిగా నియమించి

7. Go, say to Jeroboam, So says Jehovah, God of Israel, Because I have exalted you from among the people, and have appointed you leader over My people Israel;

8. దావీదు సంతతి వారియొద్దనుండి రాజ్యమును తీసి నీకిచ్చి యుండినను, నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొని మనఃపూర్తిగా నన్ను అనుసరించి నా దృష్టికి ఏది అనుకూలమో దాని మాత్రమే చేసిన నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు చేసినట్టు నీవు చేయక

8. and have torn the kingdom from the house of David, and have given it to you, and you have not been as My servant David who kept My commandments, and who walked after Me with all his heart, to do only that which is right in My eyes;

9. నీ కంటె ముందుగా ఉండిన వారందరికంటెను అధికముగా కీడుచేసి యున్నావు; నన్ను బొత్తిగా విసర్జించి యితర దేవతలను పోత విగ్రహములను పెట్టుకొని నాకు కోపము పుట్టించి యున్నావు.

9. and you did evil above all who have been before you, and went and made for yourself other gods and casted images to provoke Me to anger; and you have cast Me behind your back

10. కాబట్టి యరొబాము సంతతి వారిమీదికి నేను కీడు రప్పించుచు, ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిలో అల్పులు గాని ఘనులు గాని లేకుండ మగవారినందరిని యరొబాము వంశమునుండి నిర్మూలము చేసి, పెంటఅంతయు పోవునట్లుగా ఒకడు అవతలకు దానిని ఊడ్చి వేసినట్లు యరొబాము సంతతిలో శేషించినవారిని నేను ఊడ్చివేయుదును.

10. therefore, behold, I am bringing evil to the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him who urinates against the wall, bound and free in Israel; and will sweep away the rest of the house of Jeroboam as a man sweeps away the dung, until it is all gone.

11. పట్టణమందు యరొబాము సంబంధులలో మరణమగువారిని కుక్కలు తినును; బయట భూమిలో మరణమగువారిని ఆకాశపక్షులు తినును; యెహోవా మాటయిచ్చి యున్నాడు.

11. The dogs shall eat those of Jeroboam who die in the city. And the birds of the heavens shall eat those who die in a field; for Jehovah has spoken.

12. కాబట్టి నీవు లేచి నీ యింటికి పొమ్ము, నీ పాదములు పట్టణములో ప్రవేశించునప్పుడే నీ బిడ్డ చని పోవును;

12. And you, rise up, go to your house. When your feet enter the city, the boy shall die.

13. అతని నిమిత్తము ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరు అంగలార్చుచు, సమాధిలో అతనిని పెట్టుదురు; ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా యరొబాము సంబంధులలో ఇతనియందు మాత్రమే అనుకూలమైన దాని కనుగొనెను గనుక యరొబాము సంతతివారిలో ఇతడు మాత్రమే సమాధికి వచ్చును.

13. And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him, for only this one of Jeroboam shall come to the grave because there has been found in him a good thing toward Jehovah, God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.

14. ఇదియుగాక యెహోవా తన నిమిత్తము ఒకని ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద రాజుగా నియమింప బోవు చున్నాడు; ఆ దినముననే అతడు యరొబాము సంతతి వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయును; కొద్దికాలములోనే ఆయన అతని నియమింపబోవును.

14. And Jehovah shall raise up a king over Israel for Himself, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam this day. And what? Even now!

15. ఇశ్రాయేలువారు దేవతాస్తంభ ములను నిలిపి యెహోవాకు కోపము పుట్టించి యున్నారు గనుక నీటియందు రెల్లు అల్లలాడునట్లు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని మొత్తి, ఒకడు వేరును పెల్లగించినట్లు వారి పితరులకు తాను ఇచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములోనుండి వారిని పెల్లగించి వారిని యూఫ్రటీసునది అవతలకు చెదర గొట్టును.

15. And Jehovah shall strike Israel as the reed waves in the water, and shall pluck up Israel from off this good land that He gave to their fathers. And He shall scatter them beyond the River, because they have made their Asherahs, provoking Jehovah to anger.

16. మరియు తానే పాపముచేసి ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపము చేయుటకై కారకుడైన యరొబాము పాపములనుబట్టి ఆయన ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని అప్పగింప బోవుచున్నాడు.

16. And He shall give up Israel because of the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin.

17. అప్పుడు యరొ బాము భార్య లేచి వెళ్లిపోయి తిర్సా పట్టణమునకు వచ్చెను; ఆమె లోగిటి ద్వారపు గడపయొద్దకు రాగానే ఆ చిన్నవాడు చని పోయెను.

17. And Jeroboam's wife rose up and left, and came to Tirzah. She came in to the threshold of the house, and the boy died.

18. జనులు అతనిని సమా ధిలోపెట్టి, యెహోవా తన సేవకుడైన ప్రవక్తయగు అహీయాద్వారా సెలవిచ్చిన ప్రకారముగ ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును అతనికొరకు అంగ లార్చిరి.

18. And they buried him, and all Israel mourned for him, according to the Word of Jehovah that He spoke by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.

19. యరొబాము చేసిన యితర కార్యములను గూర్చియు, అతడు జరిగించిన యుద్ధములనుగూర్చియు, ప్రభుత్వమునుగూర్చియు ఇశ్రాయేలువారి రాజులవృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

19. And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he fought, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.

20. యరొబాము ఏలిన దినములు ఇరువది రెండు సంవత్సరములు; అతడు తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించగా అతనికి మారుగా అతని కుమారుడైన నాదాబు రాజాయెను.

20. And the days that Jeroboam reigned were twenty two years. And he lay with his fathers, and his son Nadab reigned in his place.

21. యూదాదేశమందు సొలొమోను కుమారుడైన రెహ బాము ఏలుచుండెను. రెహబాము నలువదియొక సంవత్సర ములవాడైనప్పుడు ఏలనారంభించెను. తన నామము నుంచుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములన్నిటిలోనుండి యెహోవా కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేమను పట్టణమందు అతడు పదునేడు సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను; అతని తల్లి అమ్మోనీయురాలు, ఆమె పేరు నయమా.

21. And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty one years old when he began to reign. And he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Jehovah chose out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.

22. యూదావారు యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడుచేసి తమ పితరులు చేసినదానంతటిని మించునట్లుగా పాపము చేయుచు ఆయనకు రోషము పుట్టించిరి.

22. And Judah did evil in the sight of Jehovah, and they provoked Him to jealousy above all their fathers did by their sins that they had sinned.

23. ఎట్లనగా వారును ఎత్తయిన ప్రతి పర్వతము మీదను పచ్చని ప్రతి వృక్షముక్రిందను బలిపీఠములను కట్టి, విగ్రహములను నిలిపి, దేవతాస్తంభములను ఉంచిరి.

23. And they built, they also, high places for themselves, and standing pillars, and Asherahs on every high hill, and under every green tree.

24. మరియు పురుషగాములు సహా దేశమందుండిరి. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులయెదుట నిలువకుండ యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన జనులు చేయు హేయక్రియల ప్రకారముగా యూదా వారును చేయుచు వచ్చిరి.

24. And also the sodomite was in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed before the sons of Israel.

25. రాజైన రెహబాముయొక్క అయిదవ సంవత్సరమందు ఐగుప్తురాజైన షీషకు యెరూష లేము మీదికి వచ్చి

25. And it happened in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak the king of Egypt went up against Jerusalem.

26. యెహోవా మందిరపు ఖజనాలోని పదార్థములను, రాజనగరుయొక్క ఖజనాలోని పదార్థములను, ఎత్తికొని పోయెను, అతడు సమస్తమును ఎత్తికొని పోయెను; సొలొమోను చేయించిన బంగారపు డాళ్లను అతడు ఎత్తికొని పోయెను.

26. And he took the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house; yea, he took all. And he took all the golden shields that Solomon had made.

27. రాజైన రెహబాము వీటికి మారుగా ఇత్తడి డాళ్లను చేయించి, రాజనగరు ద్వార పాలకులైన తన దేహసంరక్షకుల అధిపతుల వశము చేసెను.

27. And King Rehoboam made in their place bronze shields. And he gave them into the hand of the commander of the runners, who kept the door of the king's house.

28. రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకు వెళ్లునప్పుడెల్ల రాజదేహ సంరక్షకులు వాటిని మోసికొనిపోయి అతడు తిరిగి రాగా వాటిని తమ గదిలో ఉంచిరి.

28. And it happened, when the king went to the house of Jehovah, the runners bore them, and brought them back to the room of the runners.

29. రెహబాము చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు, అతడు చేసిన వాటన్నిటిని గూర్చియు యూదారాజులయొక్క వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

29. And the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?

30. వారు బ్రదికినంత కాలము రెహబామునకును యరొబామునకును యుద్ధము జరుగుచుండెను.

30. And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.

31. రెహబాము తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రించి దావీదు పురమందున్న తన పితరుల సమాధిలో పాతిపెట్టబడెను; అతని తల్లి నయమాయను ఒక అమ్మో నీయురాలు; అతని కుమారుడైన అబీయాము అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

31. And Rehoboam lay with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. And his son Abijam reigned in his place.
