1. మోయాబీయులు ఎదోమీయులు అమ్మోనీయులు సీదోనీయులు హిత్తీయులు అను జనులు మీ హృదయ ములను తమ దేవతలతట్టు త్రిప్పుదురు గనుక వారితో సహవాసము చేయకూడదనియు, వారిని మీతో సహవాసము చేయనియ్యకూడదనియు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులకు సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు. అయితే రాజైన సొలొమోను ఫరో కుమార్తెనుగాక ఆ జనులలో ఇంక అనేక మంది పరస్త్రీలను మోహించి

1. But king Solomo loued many outlandishe women, & the daughter of Pharao, and women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonites, & Hethites:

2. కామాతురత గలవాడై వారిని ఉంచుకొనుచు వచ్చెను.

2. Wher as yet concerning these nations, the Lorde sayd vnto the children of Israel: Go not ye into them, nor let them come into, els will they turne your heartes after their gods: Neuerthelesse, Solomon claue vnto them in loue.

3. అతనికి ఏడు వందలమంది రాజకుమార్తెలైన భార్యలును మూడువందల మంది ఉప పత్నులును కలిగియుండిరి; అతని భార్యలు అతని హృదయ మును త్రిప్పివేసిరి.

3. And he had seuen hundred queenes, and three hundred concubines: and his wyues turned away his heart.

4. సొలొమోను వృద్ధుడైనప్పుడు అతని భార్యలు అతని హృదయమును ఇతర దేవతలతట్టు త్రిప్పగా అతని తండ్రియైన దావీదు హృదయమువలె అతని హృదయము దేవుడైన యెహోవాయెడల యథార్థము కాక పోయెను.

4. For it came to passe when Solomon was olde, his wyues turned his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of Dauid his father.

5. సొలొమోను అష్తారోతు అను సీదోనీయుల దేవతను మిల్కోము అను అమ్మోనీయుల హేయమైన దేవతను అనుసరించి నడిచెను.

5. For Solomon folowed Astaroth the god of the Zidons, and Milcom the abhomination of the Ammonites.

6. ఈ ప్రకారము సొలొమోను యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడు నడత నడచి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు అనుసరించినట్లు యథార్థహృదయముతో యెహోవాను అనుసరింపలేదు.

6. And Solomon wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lorde, and folowed not the Lorde perfectly, as dyd Dauid his father.

7. సొలొమోను కెమోషు అను మోయాబీయుల హేయమైన దేవతకును మొలెకు అను అమ్మోనీయుల హేయమైన దేవతకును యెరూష లేము ఎదుటనున్న కొండమీద బలిపీఠములను కట్టించెను.

7. For then dyd Solomon buylde an hye place for Chamos the abhomination of Moabim the hill that is before Hierusalem, & vnto Moloch the abhomination of the children of Ammon.

8. తమ దేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుచు బలుల నర్పించుచుండిన పరస్త్రీలైన తన భార్యల నిమిత్తము అతడు ఈలాగు చేసెను.

8. And lykewyse dyd he for all his outlandishe wyues, which burnt cense and offered vnto their gods.

9. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనికి రెండు మారులు ప్రత్యక్షమై

9. And the Lorde was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned fro the Lord God of Israel which had appeared vnto him twyse,

10. నీవు ఇతర దేవతలను వెంబడింప వలదని అతనికి ఆజ్ఞాపించినను సొలొమోను హృదయము ఆయన యొద్దనుండి తొలగిపోయెను. యెహోవా తన కిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞను అతడు గైకొనకపోగా యెహోవా అతని మీద కోపగించి

10. And gaue him a charge concerning this thyng, that he shoulde not folowe other gods: But he kept not that which the Lorde commaunded him.

11. సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగానేను నీతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను కట్టడలను నీవు ఆచరింపక పోవుట నేను కనుగొనుచున్నాను గనుక యీ రాజ్యము నీకుండ కుండ నిశ్చయముగా తీసివేసి నీ దాసునికిచ్చెదను.

11. Wherfore the Lorde sayde vnto Solomon: Forasmuche as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept myne appoyntment, and my statutes whiche I commaunded thee, I wil rent the kingdome from thee, and will geue it to thy seruaunt.

12. అయి నను నీ తండ్రియైన దావీదు నిమిత్తము నీ దినములయందునేను ఆలాగున చేయక నీ కుమారుని చేతిలోనుండి దాని తీసివేసెదను.

12. Notwithstanding, in thy dayes I will not do it, because of Dauid thy father: but wil take it fro the hand of thy sonne.

13. రాజ్యమంతయు తీసివేయను; నా దాసుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేము నిమిత్తమును ఒక గోత్రము నీ కుమారునికిచ్చెదను.

13. Howbeit, I will not take away all the kingdome: But will geue one tribe to thy sonne, because of Dauid my seruaut, and because of Hierusalem whiche I haue chosen.

14. యెహోవా ఎదోమీయుడైన హదదు అను ఒకని సొలొమోనునకు విరోధిగా రేపెను; అతడు ఎదోము దేశపు రాజవంశస్థుడు.

14. And the Lorde stirred vp an aduersarie vnto Solomon, euen one Hadad an Edomite, of the kinges seede, whiche was in Edom.

15. దావీదు ఎదోము దేశముమీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా, సైన్యాధిపతియైన యోవాబు చంపబడిన వారిని పాతిపెట్టుటకు వెళ్లి యున్నప్పుడు ఎదోము దేశమందున్న మగవారినందరిని హతము చేసెను.

15. For when Dauid was in Edom, and Ioab the captayne of the hoast was gone vp to burie them that were slaine, he smote all the men children in Edom:

16. ఎదోములో నున్న మగవారినందరిని హతము చేయువరకు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితో కూడ యోవాబు ఆరు నెలలు అచ్చట నిలిచెను.

16. (For sixe monethes dyd Ioab remayne there, and all Israel, till he had destroyed all the men children of Edom.)

17. అంతట హదదును అతనితోకూడ అతని తండ్రి సేవకులలో కొందరు ఎదోమీయులును ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనికి పారిపోయిరి; హదదు అప్పుడు చిన్న వాడై యుండెను.

17. And this Hadad fled, and certaine other Edomites of his fathers seruautes with hym, to come into Egypt, Hadad beyng yet a litle childe.

18. వారు మిద్యాను దేశములోనుండి బయలుదేరి పారాను దేశమునకు వచ్చి, పారాను దేశమునుండి కొందరిని తోడుకొని ఐగుప్తులోనికి ఐగుప్తురాజగు ఫరోనొద్దకు రాగా, ఈ రాజు అతనికి ఇల్లును భూమియు ఇచ్చి ఆహారము నిర్ణయించెను.

18. And they arose out of Madian, & came to Paran, and toke men with them out of Paran, and came to Egypt vnto Pharao king of Egypt, whiche gaue him an house, and appoynted him vittailes, and gaue him lande.

19. హదదు ఫరో దృష్టికి బహు దయపొందగా తాను పెండ్లిచేసికొనిన రాణియైన తహ్పెనేసు సహోదరిని అతనికి ఇచ్చి పెండ్లిచేసెను.

19. And Hadad gat great fauour in the sight of Pharao, so that he gaue him to wyfe the sister of his owne wyfe, euen the syster of Thahpenes the queene.

20. ఈ తహ్పెనేసుయొక్క సహోదరి అతనికి గెనుబతు అను కుమారుని కనెను; ఫరోయింట తహ్పెనేసు వీనికి పాలు విడిపించెను గనుక గెనుబతు ఫరో కుటుంబికులలో నివసించి ఫరో కుమారులలో ఒకడుగా ఎంచబడెను.

20. And the sister of Thahpenes bare him Genubath his sonne, who Thahpenes norished in Pharaos house: And Genubath was with Pharaos housholde among the sonnes of Pharao.

21. అంతట దావీదు తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రపొందిన సంగతిని, సైన్యాధిపతియైన యోవాబు మరణమైన సంగతిని ఐగుప్తు దేశమందు హదదు వినినేను నా స్వదేశమునకు వెళ్లుటకు సెలవిమ్మని ఫరోతో మనవిచేయగా

21. And when Hadad hearde in Egypt that Dauid was layde to sleepe with his fathers, & that Ioab the captayne of the hoaste was dead also, he sayde to Pharao: Let me depart, that I may go to myne owne countrey.

22. ఫరోనీవు నీ స్వదేశమునకు వెళ్ల కోరుటకు నాయొద్ద నీకేమి తక్కువైనది అని యడిగెను. అందుకు హదదుతక్కువైన దేదియు లేదు గాని యేలాగుననైనను నన్ను వెళ్లనిమ్మనెను.

22. Pharao sayde vnto him: What hast thou lacked here with me, that thou wouldest thus go to thyne owne countrey? He aunswered, Nothing: howbeit, let me go.

23. మరియు దేవుడు అతనిమీదికి ఎల్యాదా కుమారుడైన రెజోను అను ఇంకొక విరోధిని రేపెను. వీడు సోబా రాజైన హదదెజరు అను తన యజమానుని యొద్దనుండి పారిపోయినవాడు.

23. And God stirred him vp another aduersarie, one Rezon the sonne of Eliada, whiche fled from his lorde Hadadezer king of Zoba:

24. దావీదు సోబావారిని హతము చేసి నప్పుడు ఇతడు కొందరిని సమకూర్చి, కూడిన యొక సైన్య మునకు అధిపతియై దమస్కునకు వచ్చి అచ్చట నివాసము చేసి దమస్కులో రాజాయెను.

24. And he gathered men vnto him, and became captayne ouer the companie when Dauid slue them: And they went to Damasco, and dwelt there, and raigned in Damasco.

25. హదదు చేసిన యీ కీడు గాక సొలొమోను బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు ఇతడు అరాముదేశమందు ఏలినవాడై ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు విరో ధియైయుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులయందు అసహ్యతగలవాడై యుండెను.

25. Therfore was he an aduersarie to Israel all the dayes of Solomon, and this was the mischiefe, in that Hadad dyd abhorre Israel and raigned ouer Syria.

26. మరియు సొలొమోను సేవకుడైన యరొబాము సహా రాజుమీదికి లేచెను. ఇతడు జెరేదా సంబంధమైన ఎఫ్రాయీమీయుడైన నెబాతు కుమారుడు, ఇతని తల్లిపేరు జెరూహా, ఆమె విధవరాలు.

26. And Ieroboam the sonne of Nabat, an Ephrathite of Zareda (whose mother was called Zeruah, whiche was a wydowe) and he Solomons seruaunt, lyft vp his hande against the king.

27. ఇతడు రాజుమీదికి లేచుటకు హేతువేమనగా, సొలొమోను మిల్లో కట్టించి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పురమునకు కలిగిన బీటలు బాగు చేయుచుండెను.

27. But this was the cause that he lift vp his hande against the king: Solomon buylt Mello, and mended the broken places of the citie of Dauid his father.

28. అయితే యరొబాము అను ఇతడు మహా బలాఢ్యుడైయుండగా ¸యౌవనుడగు ఇతడు పనియందు శ్రద్ధగలవాడని సొలొమోను తెలిసికొని, యోసేపు సంతతివారు చేయవలసిన భారమైన పనిమీద అతనిని అధికారిగా నిర్ణయించెను.

28. And this felowe Ieroboam was a man of strength & courage: And Solomon sawe the young man that he was able to do the worke, he made him ruler ouer all the charge of the house of Ioseph.

29. అంతట యరొబాము యెరూషలేములోనుండి బయలు వెడలిపోగా షిలోనీయు డును ప్రవక్తయునగు అహీయా అతనిని మార్గమందు కను గొనెను; అహీయా క్రొత్తవస్త్రము ధరించుకొని యుండెను, వారిద్దరు తప్ప పొలములో మరి యెవడును లేకపోయెను.

29. And it chaunced at that season that Ieroboam went out of Ierusalem, and the prophete Ahia the Silonite met him by the way, hauing a newe mantel on him, and they two were alone in the fielde.

30. అంతట అహీయా తాను ధరించుకొని యున్న క్రొత్త వస్త్రమును పట్టుకొని పండ్రెండు తునకలుగా చింపి యరొబాముతో ఇట్లనెనుఈ పది తునకలను నీవు తీసికొనుము;

30. Ahia caught the newe mantel that was on him, & rent it in twelue peeces,

31. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగాజనులు నన్ను విడిచి పెట్టి అష్తారోతు అను సీదోనీయుల దేవతకును కెమోషు అను మోయాబీయుల దేవతకును మిల్కోము అను అమ్మో నీయుల దేవతకును మ్రొక్కి,

31. And sayd to Ieroboam, Take thee ten peeces: For thus sayth the Lorde God of Israel, Behold, I will rent the kingdome out of the handes of Solomon, and will geue ten tribes to thee.

32. సొలొమోను తండ్రియైన దావీదు చేసినట్లు నా దృష్టికి యోగ్యమైన దాని చేయకయు, నా కట్టడలను నా విధులను అనుసరింపకయు, నేను ఏర్పరచిన మార్గములలో నడవకయు నున్నారు గనుక సొలొమోను చేతిలోనుండి రాజ్యమును కొట్టివేసి పది గోత్రములను నీకిచ్చెదను.

32. And he shal haue one for my seruaunt Dauids sake, and for Hierusalem, the citie which I haue chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:

33. అయితే నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును, నేను యెరూషలేము పట్టణమును కోరుకొని నందునను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్ర ములలోనుండి వానికి ఒక గోత్రము ఉండనిత్తును.

33. Because they haue forsaken me, & haue worshipped Astharoth the god of the Zidons, and Chamos the god of the Moabites, & Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, & haue not walked in my wayes, to fulfill my pleasure, my statutes, and my lawes, as dyd Dauid his father.

34. రాజ్యము వానిచేతిలోనుండి బొత్తిగా తీసివేయక నేను కోరుకొనిన నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నా ఆజ్ఞలను అనుసరించి నా కట్టడలను ఆచ రించెను గనుక దావీదును జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొని అతని దినము లన్నియు అతనిని అధికారిగా ఉండనిత్తును.

34. I will not take the whole kingdome out of his hand: But I will make him chiefe all his lyfe long for Dauid my seruauntes sake whom I chose: because he kept my commaundementes and my statutes:

35. అయితే అతని కుమారుని చేతిలోనుండి రాజ్యమును తీసివేసి అందులో నీకు పది గోత్రముల నిచ్చెదను;

35. But I will take the kingdome out of his sonnes hande, and will geue it vnto thee, euen ten tribes of it:

36. నా నామమును అక్కడ ఉంచుటకు నేను కోరుకొనిన పట్టణమైన యెరూషలేములో నా యెదుట ఒక దీపము నా సేవకుడైన దావీదునకు ఎల్లప్పుడు నుండునట్లు అతని కుమారునికి ఒక గోత్రము ఇచ్చెదను.

36. And vnto his sonne will I geue one tribe, that Dauid my seruaut may haue a light alway before me in Hierusalem, the citie which I haue chosen me to put my name there.

37. నేను నిన్ను అంగీకరించి నందున నీ కోరిక యంతటి చొప్పున నీవు ఏలుబడి చేయుచు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద రాజవై యుందువు.

37. And I will take thee, and thou shalt raigne according to all that thy soule desireth, and shalt be king ouer Israel.

38. నేను నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినదంతయు నీవు విని, నా మార్గముల ననుసరించి నడచుచు, నా దృష్టికి అనుకూలమైనదానిని జరింగిచుచు నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు చేసినట్లు నా కట్టడలను నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనినయెడల, నేను నీకు తోడుగా ఉండి దావీదు కుటుంబమును శాశ్వతముగా నేను స్థిరపరచి నట్లు నిన్నును స్థిరపరచి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని నీకు అప్ప గించెదను.

38. And if thou hearken vnto all that I commaunde thee, and wilt walke in my wayes, and do that is right in my sight, that thou kepe my statutes and my commaundementes as Dauid my seruaunt dyd, then will I be with thee, and buyld thee a sure house, as I buylt for my seruaunt Dauid, and will geue Israel vnto thee:

39. వారు చేసిన క్రియలనుబట్టి నేను దావీదుసంతతివారిని బాధ పరచుదును గాని నిత్యము బాధింపను.

39. And I will for this [offence whiche Solomon hath committed] vexe the seede of Dauid, but nor for euer.

40. జరిగినదానిని విని సొలొమోను యరొబామును చంపచూడగా యరొబాము లేచి ఐగుప్తుదేశమునకు పారిపోయి ఐగుప్తు రాజైన షీషకునొద్ద చేరి సొలొమోను మరణమగు వరకు ఐగుప్తులోనే యుండెను.

40. Solomon sought therfore to kil Ieroboam, and Ieroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, vnto Sisac king of Egypt, and continued there in Egypt vntill the death of Solomon.

41. సొలొమోను చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు అతడు చేసినదంతటిని గూర్చియు, అతని జ్ఞానమును గూర్చియు, సొలొమోను కార్యములను గూర్చిన గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

41. The rest of the wordes that concerne Solomon, and all that he dyd, and his wysdome, are they not written in the booke of the wordes of Solomon?

42. సొలొమోను యెరూష లేమునందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిని ఏలిన కాలము నలువది సంవత్సరములు.

42. The tyme that Solomon raigned in Hierusalem vpon al Israel was fourtie yeres.

43. అంతట సొలొమోను తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించి, తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పురమందు సమాధిచేయబడెను; తరువాత అతని కుమారుడైన రెహబాము అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

43. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne raigned in his steade.
