1. మోయాబీయులు ఎదోమీయులు అమ్మోనీయులు సీదోనీయులు హిత్తీయులు అను జనులు మీ హృదయ ములను తమ దేవతలతట్టు త్రిప్పుదురు గనుక వారితో సహవాసము చేయకూడదనియు, వారిని మీతో సహవాసము చేయనియ్యకూడదనియు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులకు సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు. అయితే రాజైన సొలొమోను ఫరో కుమార్తెనుగాక ఆ జనులలో ఇంక అనేక మంది పరస్త్రీలను మోహించి

1. Bvt King Salomon loued many outlandish women: both the daughter of Pharaoh, and the women of Moab, Ammon, Edom, Zidon and Heth,

2. కామాతురత గలవాడై వారిని ఉంచుకొనుచు వచ్చెను.

2. Of the nations, whereof the Lord had sayd vnto the children of Israel, Goe not ye in to them, nor let them come in to you: for surely they will turne your hearts after their gods, to them, I say, did Salomon ioyne in loue.

3. అతనికి ఏడు వందలమంది రాజకుమార్తెలైన భార్యలును మూడువందల మంది ఉప పత్నులును కలిగియుండిరి; అతని భార్యలు అతని హృదయ మును త్రిప్పివేసిరి.

3. And he had seuen hundreth wiues, that were princesses, and three hundreth concubines, and his wiues turned away his heart.

4. సొలొమోను వృద్ధుడైనప్పుడు అతని భార్యలు అతని హృదయమును ఇతర దేవతలతట్టు త్రిప్పగా అతని తండ్రియైన దావీదు హృదయమువలె అతని హృదయము దేవుడైన యెహోవాయెడల యథార్థము కాక పోయెను.

4. For when Salomon was olde, his wiues turned his heart after other gods, so that his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of Dauid his father.

5. సొలొమోను అష్తారోతు అను సీదోనీయుల దేవతను మిల్కోము అను అమ్మోనీయుల హేయమైన దేవతను అనుసరించి నడిచెను.

5. For Salomon followed Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6. ఈ ప్రకారము సొలొమోను యెహోవా దృష్టికి చెడు నడత నడచి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు అనుసరించినట్లు యథార్థహృదయముతో యెహోవాను అనుసరింపలేదు.

6. So Salomon wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, but continued not to follow the Lord, as did Dauid his father.

7. సొలొమోను కెమోషు అను మోయాబీయుల హేయమైన దేవతకును మొలెకు అను అమ్మోనీయుల హేయమైన దేవతకును యెరూష లేము ఎదుటనున్న కొండమీద బలిపీఠములను కట్టించెను.

7. Then did Salomon build an hie place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, in the mountaine that is ouer against Ierusalem, and vnto Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.

8. తమ దేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుచు బలుల నర్పించుచుండిన పరస్త్రీలైన తన భార్యల నిమిత్తము అతడు ఈలాగు చేసెను.

8. And so did he for all his outlandish wiues, which burnt incense and offered vnto their gods.

9. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా అతనికి రెండు మారులు ప్రత్యక్షమై

9. Therefore the Lord was angry with Salomon, because hee had turned his heart from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared vnto him twise,

10. నీవు ఇతర దేవతలను వెంబడింప వలదని అతనికి ఆజ్ఞాపించినను సొలొమోను హృదయము ఆయన యొద్దనుండి తొలగిపోయెను. యెహోవా తన కిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞను అతడు గైకొనకపోగా యెహోవా అతని మీద కోపగించి

10. And had giuen him a charge concerning this thing, that he should not follow other gods: but he kept not that, which the Lord had commanded him.

11. సెలవిచ్చినదేమనగానేను నీతో చేసిన నా నిబంధనను కట్టడలను నీవు ఆచరింపక పోవుట నేను కనుగొనుచున్నాను గనుక యీ రాజ్యము నీకుండ కుండ నిశ్చయముగా తీసివేసి నీ దాసునికిచ్చెదను.

11. Wherefore the Lord sayd vnto Salomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my couenant, and my statutes (which I commanded thee) I will surely rent the kingdome from thee, and will giue it to thy seruant.

12. అయి నను నీ తండ్రియైన దావీదు నిమిత్తము నీ దినములయందునేను ఆలాగున చేయక నీ కుమారుని చేతిలోనుండి దాని తీసివేసెదను.

12. Notwithstanding in thy dayes I will not doe it, because of Dauid thy father, but I will rent it out of the hand of thy sonne:

13. రాజ్యమంతయు తీసివేయను; నా దాసుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను కోరుకొనిన యెరూషలేము నిమిత్తమును ఒక గోత్రము నీ కుమారునికిచ్చెదను.

13. Howbeit I wil not rent all the Kingdome, but will giue one tribe to thy sonne, because of Dauid my seruant, and because of Ierusalem which I haue chosen.

14. యెహోవా ఎదోమీయుడైన హదదు అను ఒకని సొలొమోనునకు విరోధిగా రేపెను; అతడు ఎదోము దేశపు రాజవంశస్థుడు.

14. Then the Lord stirred vp an aduersarie vnto Salomon, euen Hadad the Edomite, of the Kings seede, which was in Edom.

15. దావీదు ఎదోము దేశముమీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా, సైన్యాధిపతియైన యోవాబు చంపబడిన వారిని పాతిపెట్టుటకు వెళ్లి యున్నప్పుడు ఎదోము దేశమందున్న మగవారినందరిని హతము చేసెను.

15. For when Dauid was in Edom, and Ioab the captaine of the hoste had smitten all the males in Edom, and was gone vp to bury ye slaine,

16. ఎదోములో నున్న మగవారినందరిని హతము చేయువరకు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితో కూడ యోవాబు ఆరు నెలలు అచ్చట నిలిచెను.

16. (For six moneths did Ioab remaine there, and all Israel, till he had destroyed all the males in Edom)

17. అంతట హదదును అతనితోకూడ అతని తండ్రి సేవకులలో కొందరు ఎదోమీయులును ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనికి పారిపోయిరి; హదదు అప్పుడు చిన్న వాడై యుండెను.

17. Then this Hadad fled and certaine other Edomites of his fathers seruants with him, to goe into Egypt, Hadad being yet a litle childe.

18. వారు మిద్యాను దేశములోనుండి బయలుదేరి పారాను దేశమునకు వచ్చి, పారాను దేశమునుండి కొందరిని తోడుకొని ఐగుప్తులోనికి ఐగుప్తురాజగు ఫరోనొద్దకు రాగా, ఈ రాజు అతనికి ఇల్లును భూమియు ఇచ్చి ఆహారము నిర్ణయించెను.

18. And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran, and tooke men with them out of Paran, and came to Egypt vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, which gaue him an house, and appointed him vitailes, and gaue him lande.

19. హదదు ఫరో దృష్టికి బహు దయపొందగా తాను పెండ్లిచేసికొనిన రాణియైన తహ్పెనేసు సహోదరిని అతనికి ఇచ్చి పెండ్లిచేసెను.

19. So Hadad found great fauour in the sight of Pharaoh, and he gaue him to wife the sister of his owne wife, euen the sister of Tahpenes the Queene.

20. ఈ తహ్పెనేసుయొక్క సహోదరి అతనికి గెనుబతు అను కుమారుని కనెను; ఫరోయింట తహ్పెనేసు వీనికి పాలు విడిపించెను గనుక గెనుబతు ఫరో కుటుంబికులలో నివసించి ఫరో కుమారులలో ఒకడుగా ఎంచబడెను.

20. And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his sonne, whome Tahpenes wayned in Pharaohs house: and Genubath was in Pharaohs house among the sonnes of Pharaoh.

21. అంతట దావీదు తన పితరులతోకూడ నిద్రపొందిన సంగతిని, సైన్యాధిపతియైన యోవాబు మరణమైన సంగతిని ఐగుప్తు దేశమందు హదదు వినినేను నా స్వదేశమునకు వెళ్లుటకు సెలవిమ్మని ఫరోతో మనవిచేయగా

21. And when Hadad heard in Egypt, that Dauid slept with his fathers, and that Ioab the captaine of the hoste was dead, Hadad sayde to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may goe to mine owne countrey.

22. ఫరోనీవు నీ స్వదేశమునకు వెళ్ల కోరుటకు నాయొద్ద నీకేమి తక్కువైనది అని యడిగెను. అందుకు హదదుతక్కువైన దేదియు లేదు గాని యేలాగుననైనను నన్ను వెళ్లనిమ్మనెను.

22. But Pharaoh saide vnto him, What hast thou lacked with me, that thou wouldest thus go to thine owne countrey? And he answered, Nothing, but in any wise let me goe.

23. మరియు దేవుడు అతనిమీదికి ఎల్యాదా కుమారుడైన రెజోను అను ఇంకొక విరోధిని రేపెను. వీడు సోబా రాజైన హదదెజరు అను తన యజమానుని యొద్దనుండి పారిపోయినవాడు.

23. And God stirred him vp another aduersarie, Rezon the sonne of Eliada, which fled from his lorde Hadadezer King of Zobah.

24. దావీదు సోబావారిని హతము చేసి నప్పుడు ఇతడు కొందరిని సమకూర్చి, కూడిన యొక సైన్య మునకు అధిపతియై దమస్కునకు వచ్చి అచ్చట నివాసము చేసి దమస్కులో రాజాయెను.

24. And he gathered men vnto him, and had bene captaine ouer the company, when Dauid slew them. And they went to Damascus, and dwelt there, and they made him King in Damascus.

25. హదదు చేసిన యీ కీడు గాక సొలొమోను బ్రదికిన దినములన్నియు ఇతడు అరాముదేశమందు ఏలినవాడై ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు విరో ధియైయుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులయందు అసహ్యతగలవాడై యుండెను.

25. Therefore was he an aduersarie to Israel all the daies of Salomon: besides the euil that Hadad did, he also abhorred Israel, and reigned ouer Aram

26. మరియు సొలొమోను సేవకుడైన యరొబాము సహా రాజుమీదికి లేచెను. ఇతడు జెరేదా సంబంధమైన ఎఫ్రాయీమీయుడైన నెబాతు కుమారుడు, ఇతని తల్లిపేరు జెరూహా, ఆమె విధవరాలు.

26. And Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat an Ephrathite of Zereda Salomons seruant (whose mother was called Zeruah a widowe) lift vp his hand against the King.

27. ఇతడు రాజుమీదికి లేచుటకు హేతువేమనగా, సొలొమోను మిల్లో కట్టించి తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పురమునకు కలిగిన బీటలు బాగు చేయుచుండెను.

27. And this was the cause that he lift vp his hande against the King, When Salomon built Millo, he repared the broken places of the citie of Dauid his father.

28. అయితే యరొబాము అను ఇతడు మహా బలాఢ్యుడైయుండగా ¸యౌవనుడగు ఇతడు పనియందు శ్రద్ధగలవాడని సొలొమోను తెలిసికొని, యోసేపు సంతతివారు చేయవలసిన భారమైన పనిమీద అతనిని అధికారిగా నిర్ణయించెను.

28. And this man Ieroboam was a man of strength and courage, and Salomon seeing that the yong man was meete for the worke, he made him ouerseer of all the labour of the house of Ioseph.

29. అంతట యరొబాము యెరూషలేములోనుండి బయలు వెడలిపోగా షిలోనీయు డును ప్రవక్తయునగు అహీయా అతనిని మార్గమందు కను గొనెను; అహీయా క్రొత్తవస్త్రము ధరించుకొని యుండెను, వారిద్దరు తప్ప పొలములో మరి యెవడును లేకపోయెను.

29. And at that time, when Ieroboam went out of Ierusalem, the Prophet Ahiiah the Shilonite founde him in the way, hauing a newe garment on him, and they two were alone in ye field.

30. అంతట అహీయా తాను ధరించుకొని యున్న క్రొత్త వస్త్రమును పట్టుకొని పండ్రెండు తునకలుగా చింపి యరొబాముతో ఇట్లనెనుఈ పది తునకలను నీవు తీసికొనుము;

30. Then Ahiiah caught the newe garment that was on him, and rent it in twelue pieces,

31. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగాజనులు నన్ను విడిచి పెట్టి అష్తారోతు అను సీదోనీయుల దేవతకును కెమోషు అను మోయాబీయుల దేవతకును మిల్కోము అను అమ్మో నీయుల దేవతకును మ్రొక్కి,

31. And said to Ieroboam, Take vnto thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Beholde, I wil rent the kingdome out of ye hands of Salomon, and will giue ten tribes to thee.

32. సొలొమోను తండ్రియైన దావీదు చేసినట్లు నా దృష్టికి యోగ్యమైన దాని చేయకయు, నా కట్టడలను నా విధులను అనుసరింపకయు, నేను ఏర్పరచిన మార్గములలో నడవకయు నున్నారు గనుక సొలొమోను చేతిలోనుండి రాజ్యమును కొట్టివేసి పది గోత్రములను నీకిచ్చెదను.

32. But he shall haue one tribe for my seruant Dauids sake, and for Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen out of all the tribes of Israel,

33. అయితే నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును, నేను యెరూషలేము పట్టణమును కోరుకొని నందునను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్ర ములలోనుండి వానికి ఒక గోత్రము ఉండనిత్తును.

33. Because they haue forsaken me, and haue worshipped Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the Ammonites, and haue not walked in my wayes (to do right in mine eyes, and my statutes, and my lawes) as did Dauid his father.

34. రాజ్యము వానిచేతిలోనుండి బొత్తిగా తీసివేయక నేను కోరుకొనిన నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నా ఆజ్ఞలను అనుసరించి నా కట్టడలను ఆచ రించెను గనుక దావీదును జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొని అతని దినము లన్నియు అతనిని అధికారిగా ఉండనిత్తును.

34. But I will not take the whole kingdome out of his hande: for I will make him prince all his life long for Dauid my seruants sake, whome I haue chosen, and who kept my commandements and my statutes.

35. అయితే అతని కుమారుని చేతిలోనుండి రాజ్యమును తీసివేసి అందులో నీకు పది గోత్రముల నిచ్చెదను;

35. But I will take the kingdome out of his sonnes hand, and will giue it vnto thee, euen the ten tribes.

36. నా నామమును అక్కడ ఉంచుటకు నేను కోరుకొనిన పట్టణమైన యెరూషలేములో నా యెదుట ఒక దీపము నా సేవకుడైన దావీదునకు ఎల్లప్పుడు నుండునట్లు అతని కుమారునికి ఒక గోత్రము ఇచ్చెదను.

36. And vnto his sonne will I giue one tribe, that Dauid my seruant may haue a light alway before me in Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen me, to put my Name there.

37. నేను నిన్ను అంగీకరించి నందున నీ కోరిక యంతటి చొప్పున నీవు ఏలుబడి చేయుచు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిమీద రాజవై యుందువు.

37. And I wil take thee, and thou shalt reigne, euen as thine heart desireth, and shalt be King ouer Israel.

38. నేను నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినదంతయు నీవు విని, నా మార్గముల ననుసరించి నడచుచు, నా దృష్టికి అనుకూలమైనదానిని జరింగిచుచు నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు చేసినట్లు నా కట్టడలను నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనినయెడల, నేను నీకు తోడుగా ఉండి దావీదు కుటుంబమును శాశ్వతముగా నేను స్థిరపరచి నట్లు నిన్నును స్థిరపరచి ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని నీకు అప్ప గించెదను.

38. And if thou hearken vnto all that I commande thee, and wilt walke in my wayes, and doe right in my sight, to keepe my statutes and my commandements, as Dauid my seruant did, then will I be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built vnto Dauid, and wil giue Israel vnto thee.

39. వారు చేసిన క్రియలనుబట్టి నేను దావీదుసంతతివారిని బాధ పరచుదును గాని నిత్యము బాధింపను.

39. And I will for this afflict the seede of Dauid, but not for euer.

40. జరిగినదానిని విని సొలొమోను యరొబామును చంపచూడగా యరొబాము లేచి ఐగుప్తుదేశమునకు పారిపోయి ఐగుప్తు రాజైన షీషకునొద్ద చేరి సొలొమోను మరణమగు వరకు ఐగుప్తులోనే యుండెను.

40. Salomon sought therefore to kill Ieroboam, and Ieroboam arose, and fled into Egypt vnto Shishak King of Egypt, and was in Egypt vntil the death of Salomon.

41. సొలొమోను చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు అతడు చేసినదంతటిని గూర్చియు, అతని జ్ఞానమును గూర్చియు, సొలొమోను కార్యములను గూర్చిన గ్రంథ మందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

41. And the rest of the wordes of Salomon, and all that he did, and his wisedom, are they not written in the booke of the actes of Salomon?

42. సొలొమోను యెరూష లేమునందు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరిని ఏలిన కాలము నలువది సంవత్సరములు.

42. The time that Salomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel, was fourtie yeere.

43. అంతట సొలొమోను తన పితరులతో కూడ నిద్రించి, తన తండ్రియైన దావీదు పురమందు సమాధిచేయబడెను; తరువాత అతని కుమారుడైన రెహబాము అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

43. And Salomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his steade.
