1. షేబదేశపురాణి యెహోవా నామమును గూర్చియు, సొలొమోనునకు కలిగిన కీర్తినిగూర్చియు విని, గూఢార్థముగల మాటలచేత అతనిని శోధించుటకై వచ్చెను.
మత్తయి 6:29

1. Now the queen of Sheba heard of the name of Solomon, and the name of the Lord, and she came to test him with riddles.

2. ఆమె గొప్ప పరివారముతో, గంధవర్గమును విస్తారమైన బంగారమును రత్నములను ఒంటెలమీద ఎక్కించుకొని యెరూషలేమునకు వచ్చెను. సొలొమోను దర్శనముచేసి తనకు తోచినదానినంతటినిబట్టి అతనితో మాటలాడగా

2. And she came to Jerusalem with a very great company. And [there came] camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and she came in to Solomon, and told him all that was in her heart.

3. ఆమె వేసిన ప్రశ్నలన్ని టికి సొలొమోను ప్రత్యుత్తరము చెప్పెను; రాజునకు మరుగైనదేదియు లేనందున ఆమె ప్రశ్న వేసినవాటన్నిటి భావము చెప్పెను.

3. And Solomon answered all her questions. And there was not a question overlooked by the king which he did not answer her.

4. షేబరాణి సొలొమోనుయొక్క జ్ఞానమును అతడు కట్టించిన మందిరమును,

4. And the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he built,

5. అతని బల్లమీదనున్న భోజనద్రవ్య ములను, అతని సేవకులు కూర్చుండు పీఠములను అతని ఉపచారులు కనిపెట్టుటను, వారి వస్త్రములను, అతనికి గిన్నె నందించువారిని, యెహోవా మందిరమందు అతడు అర్పించు దహనబలులను చూచి విస్మయమొందినదై

5. and the provision of Solomon and the sitting of his attendants, and the standing of his servants, and his clothing, and his cup-bearers, and his whole burnt offering which he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was utterly amazed.

6. రాజుతో ఇట్లనెనునీ కార్యములనుగూర్చియు జ్ఞానమును గూర్చియు నా దేశమందు నేను వినిన మాట నిజమే;

6. And she said to King Solomon, [It was] a true report which I heard in my land of your words and your wisdom.

7. అయి నను నేను వచ్చి కన్నులార చూడకమునుపు ఆ మాటలను నమ్మకయుంటిని; ఉన్నదానిలో సగమైనను నాతో చెప్ప బడలేదని యిప్పుడు నేను తెలిసి కొనుచున్నాను. నీ జ్ఞానమును నీ భాగ్యమును నేను వినినదానిని బహుగా మించి యున్నవి;

7. But I did not believe those that told it to me, until I came and my eyes saw: and behold, the words as they reported to me are not the half [of it]; you have exceeded in goodness all the report which I heard in my land.

8. నీ జనులు భాగ్యవంతులు, నీ ముందర ఎల్లప్పు డును నిలిచి నీ జ్ఞానవచనములను వినుచుండు నీ సేవకులును భాగ్యవంతులు

8. Blessed [are] your wives, blessed [are] these your servants who stand before you continually, who hear all your wisdom.

9. నీ యందు ఆనందించి నిన్ను ఇశ్రా యేలీయులమీద రాజుగా నియమించిన నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు స్తోత్రము కలుగునుగాక. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందు శాశ్వత ప్రేమయుంచెను గనుక నీతిన్యాయములను అనుసరించి రాజకార్యములను జరిగిం చుటకు ఆయన నిన్ను నియమించెను అనెను.

9. Blessed be the Lord your God, who has taken pleasure in you, to set you upon the throne of Israel, because the Lord loved Israel to establish [him] forever; and He has made you king over them, to execute judgment with justice, and in their causes.

10. మరియు ఆమె రాజునకు రెండువందల నలువది మణుగుల బంగార మును, బహు విస్తారమైన గంధవర్గమును, రత్నములను ఇచ్చెను. షేబదేశపు రాణి రాజైన సొలొమోనునకు ఇచ్చిన గంధ వర్గములంత విస్తారము మరి ఎన్నడైనను రాలేదు.

10. And she gave to Solomon a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stones; there had not come any other spices so abundant as those which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

11. మరియు ఓఫీరు దేశమునుండి బంగారము తెచ్చిన హీరాము ఓడలు ఓఫీరునుండి చందనపు మ్రానులను రత్నములను బహు విస్తారముగా తెచ్చెను.

11. And the ships of Hiram which brought the gold from Ophir, brought very much hewn timber and precious stones.

12. ఈ చందనపు మ్రానుల చేత రాజు యెహోవా మందిరమునకును రాజనగరునకును స్తంభములను, గాయకులకు సితారాలను స్వరమండలములను చేయించెను. ఇప్పుడు అటువంటి చందనపు మ్రానులు దొరకవు, ఎక్కడను కనబడవు.

12. And the king made the hewn timber [into] buttresses of the house of the Lord and the king's house, and lyres and harps for singers; such hewn timber had not come upon the earth, nor have been seen anywhere until this day.

13. సొలొమోను తన ప్రభావమునకు తగినట్టు షేబదేశపు రాణికిచ్చినదిపోగ ఆమె కోరినప్రకారము ఆమె యిచ్ఛాపూర్తిగా ఆమె కిచ్చెను; అప్పుడు ఆమెయు ఆమె సేవకులును తమ దేశ మునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లిరి.

13. And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all that she desired, whatsoever she asked, besides all that he had given her by the hand of King Solomon. And she returned, and came into her own land, she and her servants.

14. ఏటేట సొలొమోనునకువచ్చు బంగారము వెయ్యిన్ని మూడువందల ముప్పదిరెండు మణుగుల యెత్తు.

14. And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold.

15. ఇదియు గాక గంధవర్గములు మొదలైనవి వర్తకులయొద్దనుండియు అరబి రాజులయొద్ద నుండియు దేశాధికారుల యొద్ద నుండియు అతనికి చాలా వచ్చుచుండెను.

15. Besides the tributes of them that were subjects, both merchants and all the kings of the [country] beyond [the river], and of the princess of the land.

16. రాజైన సొలొమోను సుత్తెతో కొట్టిన బంగారముతో అలుగులు గల రెండువందల డాళ్లను చేయించెను; డాలు ఒకటింటికి ఆరువందల తులముల యెత్తు బంగారముండెను.

16. And Solomon made three hundred spears of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold were upon one spear.

17. మరియు సుత్తెతో కొట్టిన బంగారముతో అతడు మూడువందల కేడెములను చేయించెను; కేడెము ఒకటింటికి మూడువందల బంగారపు తులములయెత్తు బంగారముండెను; వీటిని రాజు లెబానోను అరణ్యపు మందిరమందుంచెను.

17. And three hundred shields of beaten gold: and three pounds of gold were in one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18. మరియు రాజు దంతముచేత పెద్ద సింహాసనము చేయించి సువర్ణముతో దాని పొదిగించెను.

18. And the king made a great ivory throne, and gilded it with pure gold.

19. ఈ సింహాసనమునకు ఆరు మెట్లుండెను; సింహాసనము మీది భాగపు వెనుకతట్టు గుండ్రముగా ఉండెను; ఆసనమునకు ఇరుపార్శ్యముల యందు ఊతలుండెను; ఊతలదగ్గర రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను.

19. The throne [had] six steps, and calves in bold relief to the throne behind it, and sidepieces on either hand of the place of the seat, and two lions standing by the sidepieces,

20. ఇరుప్రక్కల ఆరుమెట్లమీద పండ్రెండు సింహములు నిలిచియుండెను; అటువంటిది ఏ రాజ్యమందైనను చేయబడలేదు.

20. and twelve lions standing there on the six steps on either side: it was not so done [like that] in any [other] kingdom.

21. మరియు రాజైన సొలొ మోను పానపాత్రలు బంగారపువై యుండెను; లెబానోను అరణ్య మందిరపు పాత్రలును బంగారపువే, వెండిది యొకటియు లేదు; సొలొమోను దినములలో వెండి యెన్నికకు రాలేదు.

21. And all the vessels made by Solomon [were] of gold, and the lavers [were] golden, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; there was no silver, for it was not accounted of in the days of Solomon.

22. సముద్రమందు హీరాము ఓడలతో కూడ తర్షీషు ఓడలును రాజునకు కలిగి యుండెను; ఈ తర్షీషు ఓడలు మూడు సంవత్సరములకు ఒకమారు బంగార మును వెండిని దంతమును కోతులను నెమిలి పిట్టలను తీసికొని వచ్చుచుండెను.

22. For Solomon had a ship of Tarshish in the sea with the ships of Hiram; one ship came to the king every three years out of Tarshish, [laden with] gold and silver, and wrought stones, and hewn stones. This was the arrangement of the provision which King Solomon fetched to build the house of the Lord, and the house of the king, and the wall of Jerusalem, and the citadel; to fortify the City of David, and Assyria, and Migdol, and Gezer, and Beth Horon the upper, and Jethermath, and all the cities of the chariots, and all the cities of the horsemen, and the fortification of Solomon which he purposed to build in Jerusalem and in all the land, so that none of the people should rule over him that was left of the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Canaanite and the Hivite and the Jebusite and the Girgashite, who were not of the children of Israel, their descendants who had been left with him in the land, whom the children of Israel could not utterly destroy. And Solomon made them tributaries until this day. But of the children of Israel Solomon made nothing, for they were the warriors, and his servants and rulers, and captains of the third order, and the captains of his chariots, and his horsemen.

23. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన సొలొమోను ధనముచేతను జ్ఞానముచేతను భూపతులందరిలో అధికుడై యుండెను.

23. And Solomon increased beyond all the kings of the earth in wealth and wisdom.

24. అతని హృదయమందు దేవుడు ఉంచిన జ్ఞానవాక్కులను వినుటకై లోకులందరును అతని చూడగోరిరి.

24. And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom which the Lord [had] put into his heart.

25. ఏర్పాటైన ప్రతిమనిషి వెండివస్తువులు గాని, బంగారపు వస్తువులు గాని, వస్త్రములు గాని, యుద్ధాయుధములు గాని, గంధవర్గములు గాని, గుఱ్ఱములు గాని, కంచరగాడిదలు గాని, తన తన వంతుచొప్పున కట్నములను ఏటేట తీసికొని వచ్చుచుండెను.

25. And everyone their own gifts, vessels of gold, articles of clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

26. మరియు సొలొమోను రథములను రౌతులను సమకూర్చెను; అతడు వెయ్యిన్ని నాలుగువందల రథములును పండ్రెండువేల రౌతులును గలవాడై యుండెను; వీటిని అతడు రథములకై యేర్పడిన పురములలోను యెరూషలేమునందు రాజునొద్దను ఉంచ నిర్ణయించెను.

26. And Solomon had four thousand mares for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he put them in the cities of his chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem. And he ruled over all the kings from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.

27. రాజు యెరూషలేములో వెండినిరాళ్లంత విస్తారముగా వాడుక చేసెను; దేవదారు మ్రానులను షెఫేలా ప్రదేశముననున్న మేడిచెట్లవలె విస్తరింప జేసెను.

27. And the king made gold and silver in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars as the sycamores in the plain for multitude.

28. సొలొమోనునకుండు గుఱ్ఱములు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తేబడెను; రాజు వర్తకులు ఒక్కొక్క గుంపునకు నియా మకమైన ధరనిచ్చి గుంపులు గుంపులుగ కొనితెప్పించిరి.

28. And the goings forth of Solomon's horsemen [was] also out of Egypt, and the king's merchants [were] of Keveh; and they received them out of Keveh at a price.

29. వారు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి కొని తెచ్చిన రథమొకటింటికి ఆరు వందల తులముల వెండియు, గుఱ్ఱమొకటింటికి నూట ఏబది తులముల వెండియు ఇచ్చిరి. హిత్తీయుల రాజు లందరికొరకును అరాము రాజులకొరకును వారు ఆ ధరకే వాటిని తీసికొనిరి.

29. And that which proceeded out of Egypt went up [thus, even] a chariot for a hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for fifty [shekels] of silver; and thus for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Syria, they came out by sea.
