1. దావీదు రచించిన చివరి మాటలు ఇవే; యెష్షయి కుమారుడగు దావీదు పలికిన దేవోక్తి యిదే;యాకోబు దేవునిచేత అభిషిక్తుడై మహాధిపత్యము నొందినవాడును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల స్తోత్రగీతములను మధురగానము చేసిన గాయకుడునగు దావీదు పలికిన దేవోక్తి యిదే.

1. And these [are] the last words of David: -- 'The affirmation of David son of Jesse -- And the affirmation of the man raised up -- Concerning the Anointed of the God of Jacob, And the Sweetness of the Songs of Israel:

2. యెహోవా ఆత్మ నా ద్వారా పలుకుచున్నాడుఆయన వాక్కు నా నోట ఉన్నది.
మత్తయి 22:43

2. The Spirit of Jehovah hath spoken by me, And His word [is] on my tongue.

3. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు ఆశ్రయదుర్గమగువాడు నాద్వారా మాటలాడుచున్నాడు. మనుష్యులను ఏలు నొకడు పుట్టును అతడు నీతిమంతుడై దేవునియందు భయభక్తులు గలిగి యేలును.

3. He said -- the God of Israel -- to me, He spake -- the Rock of Israel: He who is ruling over man [is] righteous, He is ruling in the fear of God.

4. ఉదయకాలపు సూర్యోదయ కాంతివలెను మబ్బు లేకుండ ఉదయించిన సూర్యునివలెను వర్షము కురిసినపిమ్మట నిర్మలమైన కాంతిచేత భూమిలోనుండి పుట్టిన లేత గడ్డివలెను అతడు ఉండును.

4. And as the light of morning he riseth, A morning sun -- no clouds! By the shining, by the rain, Tender grass of the earth!

5. నా సంతతివారు దేవుని దృష్టికి అనుకూలులే గదా ఆయన నాతో నిత్యనిబంధన చేసియున్నాడు ఆయన నిబంధన సర్వసంపూర్ణమైన నిబంధనే అది స్థిరమాయెను, దేవునికి పూర్ణానుకూలము అది నాకనుగ్రహింపబడిన రక్షణార్థమైనది నిశ్చయముగా ఆయన దానిని నెరవేర్చును.

5. For -- not so [is] my house with God; For -- a covenant age-during He made with me, Arranged in all things, and kept; For -- all my salvation, and all desire, For -- He hath not caused [it] to spring up.

6. ఒకడు ముండ్లను చేత పట్టుకొనుటకు భయపడినట్లు దుర్మార్గులు విసర్జింపబడుదురు.

6. As to the worthless -- As a thorn driven away [are] all of them, For -- not by hand are they taken;

7. ముండ్లను పట్టుకొనువాడు ఇనుప పనిముట్టునైనను బల్లెపు కోలనైనను వినియోగించును గదా మనుష్యులు వాటిలో దేనిని విడువక అంతయు ఉన్నచోటనే కాల్చివేయుదురు.

7. And the man who cometh against them Is filled with iron and the staff of a spear, And with fire they are utterly burnt In the cessation.'

8. దావీదు అనుచరులలో బలాఢ్యులెవరనగా యోషే బెష్షెబెతను ముఖ్యుడగు తక్మోనీయుడు; అతడు ఒక యుద్ధములో ఎనిమిది వందల మందిని హతము చేసెను.

8. These [are] the names of the mighty ones whom David hath: sitting in the seat [is] the Tachmonite, head of the captains -- he [is] Adino, who hardened himself against eight hundred -- wounded at one time.

9. ఇతని తరువాతివాడు అహోహీయుడైన దోదో కుమారు డైన ఎలియాజరు, ఇతడు దావీదు ముగ్గురు బలాఢ్యులలో ఒకడు. యుద్ధమునకు కూడివచ్చిన ఫిలిష్తీయులు ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను తిరస్కరించి డీకొని వచ్చినప్పుడు ఇశ్రా యేలీయులు వెళ్లిపోగా ఇతడు లేచి

9. And after him [is] Eleazar son of Dodo, son of Ahohi, of the three mighty men with David; in their exposing themselves among the Philistines -- they have been gathered there to battle, and the men of Israel go up --

10. చేయి తివిు్మరిగొని కత్తి దానికి అంటుకొని పోవువరకు ఫిలిష్తీయులను హతము చేయుచు వచ్చెను. ఆ దినమున యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులకు గొప్ప రక్షణ కలుగజేసెను. దోపుడుసొమ్ము పట్టుకొనుటకు మాత్రము జనులు అతనివెనుక వచ్చిరి.

10. he hath arisen, and smiteth among the Philistines till that his hand hath been weary, and his hand cleaveth unto the sword, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation on that day, and the people turn back after him only to strip off.

11. ఇతని తరువాతి వారెవరనగా హరారీయుడగు ఆగే కుమారు డైన షమ్మా;ఫిలిష్తీయులు అలచందల చేనిలో గుంపుకూడగాజనులు ఫిలిష్తీయులయెదుట నిలువలేక పారిపోయిరి.

11. And after him [is] Shammah son of Agee the Hararite, and the Philistines are gathered into a company, and there is there a portion of the field full of lentiles, and the people hath fled from the presence of the Philistines,

12. అప్పుడితడు ఆ చేని మధ్యను నిలిచి ఫిలిష్తీయులు దాని మీదికి రాకుండ వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టి వారిని హతము చేయుటవలన యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు గొప్ప రక్షణ కలుగ జేసెను.

12. and he stationeth himself in the midst of the portion, and delivereth it, and smiteth the Philistines, and Jehovah worketh a great salvation.

13. మరియు ముప్పదిమంది అధిపతులలో శ్రేష్ఠులైన ముగ్గురు కోతకాలమున అదుల్లాము గుహలోనున్న దావీదు నొద్దకు వచ్చినప్పుడు ఫిలిష్తీయులు రెఫాయీము లోయలో దండు దిగియుండిరి,

13. And three of the thirty heads go down and come unto the harvest, unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, and the company of the Philistines are encamping in the valley of Rephaim,

14. దావీదు దుర్గములో నుండెను, ఫిలిష్తీయుల దండు కావలివారు బేత్లె హేములో ఉండిరి.

14. and David [is] then in a fortress, and the station of the Philistines [is] then in Beth-Lehem,

15. దావీదుబేత్లెహేము గవిని దగ్గరనున్న బావి నీళ్లు ఎవడైనను నాకు తెచ్చి యిచ్చినయెడల ఎంతో సంతోషించెదనని అధికారితో పలుకగా

15. and David longeth and saith, 'Who doth give me a drink of the water of the well of Beth-Lehem, which [is] by the gate?'

16. ఆ ముగ్గురు బలాఢ్యులు ఫిలిష్తీయుల దండు కావలివారిని ఓడించి, దారి చేసికొని పోయి బేత్లెహేము గవిని దగ్గరనున్న బావినీళ్లు చేది దావీదునొద్దకు తీసికొనివచ్చిరి; అయితే అతడు ఆ నీళ్లు త్రాగుటకు మనస్సులేక యెహోవా సన్నిధిని పారబోసియెహోవా, నేను ఇవి త్రాగను;

16. And the three mighty ones cleave through the camp of the Philistines, and draw water out of the well of Beth-Lehem, which [is] by the gate, and take [it] up, and bring in unto David; and he was not willing to drink it, and poureth it out to Jehovah,

17. ప్రాణమునకు తెగించి పోయి తెచ్చినవారి చేతి నీళ్లు త్రాగుదునా? అని చెప్పి త్రాగనొల్లకుండెను. ఆ ముగ్గురు బలాఢ్యులు ఈ కార్యములు చేసిరి.

17. and saith, 'Far be it from me, O Jehovah, to do this; is it the blood of the men who are going with their lives?' and he was not willing to drink it; these [things] did the three mighty ones.

18. సెరూయా కుమారుడును యోవాబు సహోదరుడునైన అబీషై తన అనుచరులలో ముఖ్యుడు. ఇతడొక యుద్ధములో మూడువందలమందిని హతముచేసి వారిమీద తన యీటెను ఆడించెను. ఇతడు ఆ ముగ్గు రిలో పేరుపొందినవాడు.

18. And Abishai brother of Joab, son of Zeruiah, he [is] head of three, and he is lifting up his spear against three hundred -- wounded, and he hath a name among three.

19. ఇతడు ఆ ముప్పదిమందిలో ఘనుడై వారికి అధిపతి యాయెను గాని మొదటి ముగ్గురితో సమానుడు కాకపోయెను.

19. Of the three is he not the honoured? and he becometh their head; and unto the [first] three he hath not come.

20. మరియు కబ్సెయేలు ఊరివాడై క్రియలచేత ఘనతనొందిన యొక పరాక్రమశాలికి పుట్టిన యెహోయాదా కుమారుడైన బెనాయా అను నొకడు ఉండెను. ఇతడు మోయాబీయుల సంబంధులగు ఆ యిద్దరు శూరులను హతముచేసెను; మరియు మంచుకాలమున బయలువెడలి బావిలో దాగి యున్న యొక సింహమును చంపి వేసెను.

20. And Benaiah son of Jehoiada (son of a man of valour, great in deeds from Kabzeel), he hath smitten two lion-like men of Moab, and he hath gone down and smitten the lion in the midst of the pit in a day of snow.

21. ఇంకను అతడు సౌందర్యవంతుడైన యొక ఐగుప్తీయుని చంపెను. ఈ ఐగుప్తీయుని చేతిలో ఈటెయుండగా బెనాయా దుడ్డు కఱ్ఱ తీసికొని వాని మీదికి పోయి వాని చేతిలోని యీటె ఊడలాగి దానితోనే వాని చంపెను.

21. And he hath smitten the Egyptian man, a man of appearance, and in the hand of the Egyptian [is] a spear, and he goeth down unto him with a rod, and taketh violently away the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slayeth him with his own spear.

22. ఈ కార్యములు యెహోయాదా కుమారుడైన బెనాయా చేసినందున ఆ ముగ్గురు బలాఢ్యులలోను అతడు పేరుపొంది

22. These [things] hath Benaiah son of Jehoiada done, and hath a name among three mighty.

23. ఆ ముప్పది మందిలో ఘనుడాయెను. అయినను మొదటి ముగ్గురితో సమానుడు కాకపోయెను. దావీదు ఇతనిని తన సభికులలో ఒకనిగా నియమించెను.

23. Of the thirty he is honoured, and unto the three he came not; and David setteth him over his guard.

24. ఆ ముప్పదిమంది యెవరనగా, యోవాబు సహోదరుడైన అశాహేలు, బేత్లెహేమీయుడగు దోదో కుమారుడగు ఎల్హానాను,

24. Asahel brother of Joab [is] of the thirty; Elhanan son of Dodo of Beth-Lehem.

25. హరోదీయుడైన షమ్మా, హరోదీయుడైన ఎలీకా,

25. Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

26. పత్తీయుడైన హేలెస్సు, తెకోవీయుడగు ఇక్కేషు కుమారుడైన ఈరా,

26. Helez the Paltite, Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

27. అనాతోతీయుడైన అబీ యెజరు, హుషాతీయుడైన మెబున్నయి,

27. Abiezer the Annethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

28. అహోహీయుడైన సల్మోను, నెటోపాతీయుడైన మహరై

28. Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

29. నెటోపాతీయుడైన బయానాకు పుట్టిన హేలెబు, బెన్యామీనీయుల గిబియాలో పుట్టిన రీబై కుమారుడైన ఇత్తయి,

29. Heleb son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ittai son of Ribai from Gibeah of the sons of Benjamin,

30. పరాతోనీయుడైన బెనాయా, గాయషు ఏళ్లనడుమ నివసించు హిద్దయి,

30. Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,

31. అర్బాతీయుడైన అబీయల్బోను, బర్హుమీయుడైన అజ్మావెతు,

31. Abi-Albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

32. షయల్బోనీయుడైన ఎల్యహ్బా, యాషేను యొక్క కుమారులలో యోనాతాను,

32. Eliahba the Shaalbonite, [of] the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

33. హరారీయుడైన షమ్మా, హరారీయుడైన షారారు నకు పుట్టిన అహీ యాము,

33. Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam son of Sharar the Hararite,

34. మాయాకాతీయునికి పుట్టిన అహస్బయి కుమారుడైన ఎలీపేలెటు, గిలోనీయుడైన అహీతో పెలు కుమారుడగు ఏలీయాము,

34. Eliphelet son of Ahasbai, son of the Maachathite, Eliam son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

35. కర్మెతీయుడైన హెస్రై, అర్బీయుడైన పయరై,

35. Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

36. సోబావాడగు నాతాను యొక్క కుమారుడైన ఇగాలు, గాదీయుడైన బానీ,

36. Igal son of Nathan from Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

37. అమ్మోనీయుడైన జెలెకు, బెయేరోతీయుడైన నహరై, యితడు సెరూయా కుమారుడగు యోవాబుయొక్క ఆయుధములను మోయువాడై యుండెను.

37. Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, bearer of the weapons of Joab son of Zeruiah,

38. ఇత్రీయుడైన ఈరా, ఇత్రీయుడైన గారేబు,

38. Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

39. హిత్తీయుడైన ఊరియా. వారందరు ముప్పది యేడుగురు.

39. Uriah the Hittite; in all thirty and seven.
