1. ఇదియైన తరువాత అబ్షాలోము ఒక రథమును గుఱ్ఱ ములను సిద్ధపరచి, తనయెదుట పరుగెత్తుటకై యేబదిమంది బంటులను ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.

1. After this Absalom gat him chariots and horses and fifty men to run before him.

2. ఉదయముననే లేచి బయలుదేరి పట్టణముయొక్క గుమ్మపు మార్గమందు ఒక తట్టున నిలిచి, రాజుచేత తీర్పునొందుటకై వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారెవరైనను వచ్చియుండగా కనిపెట్టి వారిని పిలిచినీవు ఏ ఊరివాడవని యడుగుచుండెనునీ దాసుడనైన నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములలో ఫలానిదానికి చేరిన వాడనని వాడు చెప్పగా

2. And thereto he used to rise up early in the mornings and to stand by the way's side that led to the gate of the city. And all the men of Israel that had complaints and came to the king for judgement, he called unto him and said: of what city art thou? And when the other answered: thy servant is of such a tribe of Israel.

3. అబ్షాలోమునీ వ్యాజ్యెము సరిగాను న్యాయముగాను ఉన్నదిగాని దానిని విచారించు టకై నియమింపబడిన వాడు రాజునొద్ద ఒకడును లేడని చెప్పి

3. Then said Absalom unto him: see, thy matter is good and righteous, and yet no man is deputed of the king to hear thee.

4. నేను ఈ దేశమునకు న్యాయాధిపతినైయుండుట యెంత మేలు; అప్పుడు వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారు నాయొద్దకు వత్తురు, నేను వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదునని చెప్పుచు వచ్చెను.

4. Then Absalom said moreover: Oh, that I were a judge in the land, and that all men which have pleas and matter in the law, should come to me. For I would do them justice.

5. మరియు తనకు నమస్కారము చేయుటకై యెవడైనను తన దాపునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు తన చేయి చాపి అతని పట్టుకొని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనుచు వచ్చెను.

5. And also when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand and took him to him and kissed him.

6. తీర్పునొందుటకై రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కందరికి అబ్షాలోము ఈ ప్రకారము చేసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నందరిని తనతట్టు త్రిప్పుకొనెను.

6. And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgement, and therewith stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

7. నాలుగు సంవత్సరములు జరిగినమీదట అబ్షాలోము రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చినీ దాసుడనైన నేను సిరియ దేశము నందలి గెషూరునందుండగాయెహోవా నన్ను యెరూష లేమునకు తిరిగి రప్పించినయెడల నేను ఆయనను సేవించె దనని మ్రొక్కు కొంటిని గనుక,

7. And at forty years' end Absalom said unto the king: let me go I pray thee to Hebron, and pay my vow which I have vowed, unto the LORD:

8. నేను హెబ్రోనునకు పోయి యెహోవాకు నేను మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబడి తీర్చుకొనుటకు నాకు సెలవిమ్మని మనవిచేయగా

8. for thy servant vowed a vow when I was in Gesur in the land of Siria saying: if the LORD shall bring me again to Jerusalem, I will serve the LORD.

9. రాజుసుఖముగా పొమ్మని సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక అతడు లేచి హెబ్రోనునకు పోయెను.

9. And the king said: go in peace. And so he arose and went to Hebron.

10. అబ్షాలోముమీరు బాకానాదము వినునప్పుడు అబ్షాలోము హెబ్రోనులో ఏలుచున్నాడని కేకలు వేయుడని చెప్పుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములన్నిటియొద్దకు వేగుల వారిని పంపెను.

10. Then Absalom sent spies thorowout all the tribes of Israel saying: as soon as ye hear the voice of the trumpet blow, say: Absalom reigneth king in Hebron.

11. విందునకు పిలువబడియుండి రెండువందల మంది యెరూషలేములోనుండి అబ్షాలోముతో కూడ బయలుదేరి యుండిరి, వీరు ఏమియు తెలియక యథార్థమైన మనస్సుతో వెళ్లియుండిరి.

11. And with Absalom went two hundredth men out of Jerusalem that were called. And they went with pure hearts(went on simply) and wist(knew) nothing of the matter.

12. మరియు బలి అర్పింపవలెనని యుండి అబ్షాలోము గీలోనీయుడైన అహీతో పెలు అను దావీదుయొక్క మంత్రిని గీలో అను అతని ఊరినుండి పిలిపించి యుండెను. అబ్షాలోము దగ్గరకు వచ్చిన జనము మరి మరి యెక్కువగుటచేత కుట్ర బహు బలమాయెను.

12. And Absalom sent also for Ahitophel the Gilonite David's counsellor, and fetched him out of his city Giloh, when he sacrificed sacrifices. And there was wrought strong treason. And the people drew to Absalom in great multitude.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అబ్షాలోముపక్షము వహించిరని దావీదునకు వర్తమానము రాగా

13. And there came a messenger to David and said: the hearts of the men of Israel are to follow Absalom.

14. దావీదు యెరూషలేము నందున్న తన సేవకులకందరికి ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను అబ్షాలోము చేతిలోనుండి మనము తప్పించుకొని రక్షణ నొందలేము; మనము పారిపోదము రండి, అతడు హఠాత్తుగా వచ్చి మనలను పట్టుకొనకను, మనకు కీడుచేయకను, పట్టణమును కత్తివాత హతము చేయకను ఉండునట్లు మనము త్వరగా వెళ్లిపోదము రండి.

14. Then said David unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem: up and let us flee, for we shall not else escape from Absalom. Make speed to depart: lest he come suddenly and catch us and bring some mischief upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

15. అందుకు రాజు సేవకులు ఈలాగు మనవి చేసిరిచిత్తగించుము; నీ దాసుల మైన మేము మా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవు సెల విచ్చినట్లు చేయుటకు సిద్ధముగా నున్నాము.

15. And the king's servants said to him: behold thy servants are ready to whatsoever my lord(Lorde) the king shall appoint.

16. అప్పుడు రాజు నగరిని కనిపెట్టుటకై ఉపపత్నులగు పదిమందిని ఉంచిన మీదట తన యింటివారినందరిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని కాలినడకను బయలుదేరెను.

16. And the king and all his household departed afoot. And he left behind him ten wives that were his concubines, to keep the house.

17. రాజును అతని యింటి వారును బయలుదేరి బెత్మెర్హాకుకు వచ్చి బసచేసిరి.

17. And so the king and all the people went out afoot and tarried far from the house.

18. అతని సేవకులందరును అతని యిరుపార్శ్వముల నడిచిరి; కెరే తీయులందరును పెలేతీయులందరును గాతునుండి వచ్చిన ఆరువందల మంది గిత్తీయులును రాజునకు ముందుగా నడచుచుండిరి.

18. And all his servants went by his side. And all the Cerethites and all the Phelethites, and all the Hethites even six hundredth men which were come afoot from Geth, went before the king.

19. రాజు గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయిని కనుగొనినీవు నివాసస్థలము కోరు పరదేశివై యున్నావు; నీవెందుకు మాతో కూడ వచ్చుచున్నావు? నీవు తిరిగి పోయి రాజున్న స్థలమున ఉండుము.

19. Then said the king to Ethai the Gethite, wherefore shouldest thou go with us also? Return and abide with the king, for thou art a stranger and art removed from thine own place.

20. నిన్ననే వచ్చిన నీకు, ఎక్కడికి పోవుదుమో తెలియకయున్న మాతోకూడ ఈ తిరుగులాట యెందుకు? నీవు తిరిగి నీ సహోదరులను తోడుకొని పొమ్ము; కృపాసత్యములు నీకు తోడుగా ఉండును గాక యని చెప్పగా

20. Thou camest but yesterday, and should I unquiet thee today to go with us? I will go whither I go. But return thou and carry again thy brethren. Mercy and truth be with thee.

21. ఇత్తయినేను చచ్చినను బ్రదికినను, యెహోవా జీవముతోడు నా యేలిన వాడవును రాజవునగు నీ జీవముతోడు, ఏ స్థలమందు నా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవుందువో ఆ స్థలమందే నీ దాసుడనైన నేనుందునని రాజుతో మనవిచేసెను.

21. And Ethai answered the king and said: as surely as the LORD liveth, and as surely as my lord the king liveth, in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there will thy servant be.

22. అందుకు దావీదుఆలాగైతే నీవు రావచ్చునని ఇత్తయితో సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయియును అతని వారందరును అతని కుటుంబికులందరును సాగిపోయిరి.

22. Then said the king to Ethai, come and go forward. And Ethai the Gethite went forth, and all his men, and all the children that were with him.

23. వారు సాగిపోవు చుండగా జనులందరు బహుగా ఏడ్చుచుండిరి, ఈ ప్రకారము వారందరు రాజుతోకూడ కిద్రోనువాగు దాటి అరణ్యమార్గమున ప్రయాణమై పోయిరి.

23. And all the country wept with a loud voice. And all the people went forward the straight way to the wilderness.

24. సాదోకును లేవీయులందరును దేవుని నిబంధన మందసమును మోయుచు అతనియొద్ద ఉండిరి. వారు దేవుని మందసమును దింపగా అబ్యాతారు వచ్చి పట్టణములోనుండి జనులందరును దాటిపోవు వరకు నిలిచెను.

24. And behold, Sadock and all the Levites were with him and bare the ark of the appointment of God. And when they had fetched down the Ark of God, Abiathar came up, until the people were all come over, out of the city.

25. అప్పుడు రాజు సాదోకును పిలిచిదేవుని మందసమును పట్టణములోనికి తిరిగి తీసికొనిపొమ్ము; యెహోవా దృష్టికి నేను అనుగ్రహము పొందినయెడల ఆయన నన్ను తిరిగి రప్పించి

25. Then said the king unto Sadock: Carry the Ark of God again into the city. If I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it and the tabernacle thereof also.

26. దానిని తన నివాసస్థానమును నాకు చూపించును; నీయందు నాకిష్టము లేదని ఆయన సెలవిచ్చినయెడల ఆయన చిత్తము, నీ దృష్టికి అనుకూలమైనట్టు నాయెడల జరిగించుమని నేను చెప్పుదునని పలికి

26. But and if the Lord thus say: I have no lust unto thee. Behold, here am I, let him do with me what seemeth best in his eyes.

27. యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతో ఇట్లనెనుసాదోకూ, నీవు దీర్ఘదర్శివి కావా? శుభమొంది నీవును నీ కుమారుడగు అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారునకు పుట్టిన యోనాతాను అను మీ యిద్దరు కుమారులును పట్టణమునకు పోవలెను.

27. The king said also unto Sadock the priest thou art a Sear. Return therefore into the city in peace. And take your two sons with you: Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathas the son of Abiathar.

28. ఆలకించుము; నీయొద్దనుండి నాకు రూఢియైన వర్తమానము వచ్చువరకు నేను అరణ్య మందలి రేవులదగ్గర నిలిచి యుందును.

28. And see, I will tarry in the fields of the wilderness until there come some word from you to be told me.

29. కాబట్టి సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును దేవుని మందసమును యెరూషలేమునకు తిరిగి తీసికొనిపోయి అక్కడ నిలిచిరి.

29. And so Sadock and Abiathar carried the Ark of God again to Jerusalem, and they tarried there.

30. అయితే దావీదు ఒలీవచెట్ల కొండ యెక్కుచు ఏడ్చుచు, తల కప్పుకొని పాదరక్షలులేకుండ కాలినడకను వెళ్ళెను; అతనియొద్దనున్న జనులందరును తలలు కప్పుకొని యేడ్చుచు కొండ యెక్కిరి.

30. And David went up on mount olivet and wept as he went, and had his head covered and went thereto barefoot. And all the people that was with him, had every man his head covered, and as they went wept also.

31. అంతలో ఒకడు వచ్చి, అబ్షాలోము చేసిన కుట్రలో అహీతోపెలు చేరియున్నాడని దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా దావీదుయెహోవా అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడ గొట్టుమని ప్రార్థన చేసెను.

31. And one told David saying: Ahitophel is one of them that have conspired with Absalom. Then said David: O LORD, turn the counsel of Ahitophel unto foolishness.

32. దేవుని ఆరాధించు స్థలమొకటి ఆ కొండమీద ఉండెను. వారు అచ్చటికి రాగా అర్కీయుడైన హూషై పై వస్త్రములు చింపుకొని తలమీద ధూళి పోసికొనివచ్చి రాజును దర్శనము చేసెను.

32. When David was come to the top of the mount and had bowed himself unto God: behold, Husai the Arachite came against him with his coat torn and earth upon his head.

33. రాజునీవు నాతో కూడ వచ్చినయెడల నాకు భారముగా ఉందువు;

33. Unto whom David said: if thou go with me thou shalt be a burden unto me.

34. నీవు పట్టణమునకు తిరిగి పోయిరాజా, యింతవరకు నీ తండ్రికి నేను సేవచేసినట్లు ఇకను నీకు సేవచేసెదనని అబ్షాలోముతో చెప్పినయెడల నీవు నా పక్షపువాడవై యుండి అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడగొట్ట గలవు.

34. And if thou return to the city: then shalt thou say unto Absalom I will be thy servant O king: thus long have I been thy father's servant, and now I am thine. And destroy me the counsel of Ahitophel.

35. అక్కడ యాజకులైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును నీకు సహాయకులుగా నుందురు; కాబట్టి రాజనగరియందు ఏదైనను జరుగుట నీకు వినబడినయెడల యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతోను అబ్యాతారుతోను దాని చెప్పవలెను.

35. And thou hast there with thee Sadock and Abiathar the priests, unto which thou shalt shew all that thou canst hear out of the king's house.

36. సాదోకు కుమారుడైన అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారు కుమారు డైన యోనాతాను అనువారి ఇద్దరు కుమారులు అచ్చట నున్నారు. నీకు వినబడినదంతయు వారిచేత నాయొద్దకు వర్తమానము చేయుమని చెప్పి అతనిని పంపివేసెను.

36. And behold, ye have there with you their two sons: Ahimaaz Sadock's son, and Jonathas Abiathar's son, by which ye shall send me all that ye can hear.

37. దావీదు స్నేహితుడైన హూషై పట్టణమునకు వచ్చు చుండగా అబ్షాలోమును యెరూషలేము చేరెను.

37. And so Husai David's friend gat him to the city. And Absalom also entered into Jerusalem.
