1. ఆ దేశమందు కరవు భారముగా ఉండెను గనుక

1. And the famine [was] severe in the land.

2. వారు ఐగుప్తునుండి తెచ్చిన ధాన్యము తినివేసిన తరువాత వారి తండ్రి - మీరు మరల వెళ్లి మన కొరకు కొంచెము ఆహారము కొనుడని వారితో అనగా

2. And it came to pass, when they had consumed the grain which they had brought from Egypt, their father said to them, Go again, buy us a little food.

3. యూదా అతని చూచి - ఆ మనుష్యుడు మీ తమ్ముడు మీతో ఉంటేనే గాని మీరు నా ముఖము చూడకూడదని మాతో గట్టిగా చెప్పెను.

3. And Judah spoke to him, saying, The man did solemnly protest to us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother [be] with you.

4. కాబట్టి నీవు మాతమ్ముని మాతో కూడ పంపిన యెడల మేము వెళ్లి నీకొరకు ఆహారము కొందుము.

4. If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food:

5. నీవు వానిని పంపనొల్లనియెడల మేము వెళ్లము; ఆ మనుష్యుడు - మీ తమ్ముడు మీతో లేనియెడల మీరు నా ముఖము చూడకూడదని మాతో చెప్పెననెను.

5. But if thou wilt not send [him], we will not go down: for the man said to us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother [be] with you.

6. అందుకు ఇశ్రాయేలు మీకు ఇంకొక సహోదరుడు కలడని మీరు ఆ మనుష్యునితో చెప్పి నాకు ఇంత శ్రమ కలుగజేయనేల అనగా

6. And Israel said, Why dealt ye [so] ill with me, [as] to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother?

7. వారు ఆ మనుష్యుడు - మీ తండ్రి యింక సజీవుడైయున్నాడా? మీకు సహోదరుడు ఉన్నాడా అని మమ్మును గూర్చియు మా బంధువులను గూర్చియు ఖండితముగా అడిగినప్పుడు మేము ఆ ప్రశ్నలకు తగినట్టు అతనికి వాస్తవము తెలియచెప్పితివిు - మీ సహోదరుని తీసికొని రండని అతడు చెప్పునని మాకెట్లు తెలియుననిరి.

7. And they said, The man asked us carefully concerning our state, and our kindred, saying, [Is] your father yet alive? have ye [another] brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?

8. యూదా తన తండ్రియైన ఇశ్రాయేలును చూచి ఆ చిన్న వానిని నాతో కూడ పంపుము, మేము లేచి వెళ్లుదుము, అప్పుడు మేమే కాదు నీవును మా పిల్లలును చావక బ్రదుకుదుము;

8. And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, [and] also our little ones.

9. నేను అతనిగూర్చి పూటపడుదును, నీవు అతనిగూర్చి నన్ను అడుగవలెను; నేను అతని తిరిగి నీయొద్దకు తీసికొనివచ్చి నీయెదుట నిలువబెట్టని యెడల ఆ నింద నా మీద ఎల్లప్పుడును ఉండును.

9. I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not to thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:

10. మాకు తడవు కాకపోయిన యెడల ఈపాటికి రెండవ మారు తిరిగి వచ్చి యుందుమని చెప్పగా

10. For except we had delayed, surely now we had returned this second time.

11. వారి తండ్రియైన ఇశ్రాయేలు వారితొ అట్లయిన మీరీలాగు చేయుడి; ఈ దేశమందు ప్రసిద్ధములైనవి, అనగా కొంచెము మస్తకి కొంచెము తేనె సుగంధ ద్రవ్యములు బోళము పిస్తాచకాయలు బాదముకాయలు మీ గోనెలలో వేసికొని ఆ మనుష్యునికి కానుకగా తీసికొని పోవుడి.

11. And their father Israel said to them, If [it must be] so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down to the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:

12. రెట్టింపు రూకలు మీరు తీసికొనుడి, మీ గోనెల మూతిలో ఉంచబడి తిరిగివచ్చిన రూకలు కూడ చేత పట్టు కొనిపోయి మరల ఇచ్చివేయుడి; ఒకవేళ అది పొరబాటై యుండును;

12. And take double money in your hand; and the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks, carry [it] again in your hand; it may be it [was] an oversight:

13. మీ తమ్ముని తీసికొని లేచి ఆ మనుష్యుని యొద్దకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుడి.

13. Take also your brother, and arise, go again to the man:

14. ఆ మనుష్యుడు మీ యితర సహోదరుని బెన్యామీనును మీ కప్పగించునట్లు సర్వశక్తుడైన దేవుడు ఆ మనుష్యుని యెదుట మిమ్మును కరుణించును గాక. నేను పుత్రహీనుడనై యుండవలసిన యెడల పుత్రహీనుడనగుదునని వారితో చెప్పెను.

14. And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved [of my children], I am bereaved.

15. ఆ మనుష్యులు ఆ కానుకను తీసికొని, చేతులలో రెట్టింపు రూకలను తమవెంట బెన్యామీనును తీసికొని లేచి ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లి యోసేపు యెదుట నిలిచిరి.

15. And the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand, and Benjamin; and arose, and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.

16. యోసేపు వారితోనున్న బెన్యామీనును చూచి తన గృహనిర్వాహకునితో - ఈ మనుష్యులను ఇంటికి తీసికొనిపోయి ఒక వేటను కోసి వంట సిద్ధము చేయించుము; మధ్యాహ్నమందు ఈ మనుష్యులు నాతో భోజనము చేయుదురని చెప్పెను.

16. And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring [these] men home, and slaughter [a beast], and make ready; for [these] men shall dine with me at noon.

17. యోసేపు చెప్పినట్లు అతడు చేసి ఆ మనుష్యులను యోసేపు ఇంటికి తీసికొనిపోయెను.

17. And the man did as Joseph commanded; and the man brought the men into Joseph's house.

18. ఆ మనుష్యులు యోసేపు ఇంటికి రప్పింపబడినందున వారు భయపడిమొదట మన గోనెలలో తిరిగి పెట్టబడిన రూకల నిమిత్తము అతడు మన మీదికి అకస్మాత్తుగా వచ్చి మీదపడి మనలను దాసులుగా చెరపట్టి మన గాడిదలను తీసికొనుటకు లోపలికి తెప్పించెననుకొనిరి.

18. And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for slaves, and our donkeys.

19. వారు యోసేపు గృహనిర్వాహకుని యొద్దకు వచ్చి యింటి ద్వారమున అతనితో మాటలాడి

19. And they came near to the steward of Joseph's house, and they spoke with him at the door of the house,

20. అయ్యా ఒక మనవి; మొదట మేము ఆహారము కొనుటకే వచ్చితివిు.

20. And said, O sir, we came down indeed at the first time to buy food:

21. అయితే మేము దిగిన చోటికి వచ్చి మా గోనెలను విప్పినప్పుడు, ఇదిగో మా మా రూకల తూనికెకు సరిగా ఎవరి రూకలు వారి గోనెమూతిలో నుండెను. అవి చేతపట్టుకొని వచ్చితివిు.

21. And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, [every] man's money [was] in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.

22. ఆహారము కొనుటకు మరి రూకలను తీసికొని వచ్చితివిు; మా రూకలను మా గోనెలలో నెవరు వేసిరో మాకు తెలియదని చెప్పిరి.

22. And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.

23. అందుకతడు మీకు క్షేమమగును గాక భయపడకుడి; మీ పితరుల దేవుడైన మీ దేవుడు మీకు మీ గోనెలలో ధనమిచ్చెను. మీ రూకలు నాకు ముట్టినవని చెప్పి షిమ్యోనును వారియొద్దకు తీసికొని వచ్చెను.

23. And he said, Peace [be] to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out to them.

24. ఆ మనుష్యుడు వారిని యోసేపు ఇంటికి తీసికొని వచ్చి వారికి నీళ్లియ్యగా వారు కాళ్లు కడుగుకొనిరి. మరియు అతడు వారి గాడిదలకు మేత వేయించెను.

24. And the man brought the men into Joseph's house, and gave [them] water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their donkeys feed.

25. అక్కడ తాము భోజనము చేయవలెనని వినిరి గనుక మధ్యాహ్నమందు యోసేపు వచ్చు వేళకు తమ కానుకను సిద్ధముచేసిరి.

25. And they made ready the present for Joseph's coming at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there.

26. యోసేపు ఇంటికి వచ్చినప్పుడు వారు తమ చేతులలోనున్న కానుకను ఇంటిలోనికి తెచ్చి అతనికిచ్చి, అతనికి నేలను సాగిలపడిరి.

26. And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which [was] in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.

27. అప్పుడు మీరు చెప్పిన ముసలివాడైన మీ తండ్రి క్షేమముగా ఉన్నాడా? అతడు ఇంక బ్రతికి యున్నాడా? అని వారి క్షేమసమాచారము అడిగినందుకు వారు

27. And he asked them of [their] welfare, and said, [Is] your father well, the old man of whom ye spoke? [Is] he yet alive?

28. నీ దాసుడైన మా తండ్రి ఇంక బ్రదికియున్నాడు క్షేమముగానున్నాడని చెప్పి వంగి సాగిలపడిరి.

28. And they answered, Thy servant our father [is] in good health, he [is] yet alive. And they bowed their heads, and made obeisance.

29. అప్పుడతడు కన్నులెత్తి తన తల్లి కుమారుడును తన తమ్ముడైన బెన్యామీనును చూచి - మీరు నాతో చెప్పిన మీ తమ్ముడు ఇతడేనా? అని అడిగి - నా కుమారుడా, దేవుడు నిన్ను కరుణించును గాక

29. And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, [Is] this your younger brother, of whom ye spoke to me? And he said, God be gracious to thee, my son.

30. అప్పుడు తన తమ్మునిమీద యోసేపునకు ప్రేమ పొర్లుకొని వచ్చెను గనుక అతడు త్వరపడి యేడ్చుటకు చోటు వెదకి లోపలి గదిలోనికి వెళ్లి అక్కడ ఏడ్చెను.

30. And Joseph made haste; for his heart yearned toward his brother: and he sought [where] to weep; and he entered into [his] chamber, and wept there.

31. అప్పుడు అతడు ముఖము కడుగుకొని వెలుపలికి వచ్చి తన్ను తాను అణచుకొని, భోజనము వడ్డించుడని చెప్పెను.

31. And he washed his face, and went out, and controlled himself, and said, Set on bread.

32. అతనికిని వారికిని అతనితో భోజనము చేయుచున్న ఐగుప్తీయులకును వేరు వేరుగా వడ్డించిరి. ఐగుప్తీయులు హెబ్రీయులతో కలిసి భోజనము చేయరు; అది ఐగుప్తీయులకు హేయము.

32. And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, who ate with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that [is] an abomination to the Egyptians.

33. జ్యేష్ఠుడు మొదలుకొని కనిష్ఠుని వరకు వారు అతని యెదుట తమ తమ యీడు చొప్పున కూర్చుండిరి గనుక ఆ మనుష్యులు ఒకనివైపు ఒకడు చూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడిరి.

33. And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men wondered one at another.

34. మరియు అతడు తన యెదుటనుండి వారికి వంతులెత్తి పంపెను. బెన్యామీను వంతు వారందరి వంతులకంటె అయిదంతలు గొప్పది. వారు విందు ఆరగించి అతనితో కలిసి సంతుష్టిగా త్రాగిరి.

34. And he took [and sent] messes to them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.
