1. లాబాను కుమారులు మన తండ్రికి కలిగినది యావత్తును యాకోబు తీసికొని, మన తండ్రికి కలిగిన దానివలన ఈ యావదాస్తి సంపాదించెనని చెప్పుకొనిన మాటలు యాకోబు వినెను.

1. And Jacob heard the words of the sons of Laban, saying, Jacob has taken all that was our father's, and of our father's property has he gotten all this glory.

2. మరియు అతడు లాబాను ముఖము చూచినప్పుడు అది నిన్న మొన్న ఉండినట్లు అతనియెడల ఉండలేదు.

2. And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and behold it was not [favorable] toward him as before.

3. అప్పుడు యెహోవా నీ పితరుల దేశమునకు నీ బంధువుల యొద్దకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుము; నేను నీకు తోడైయుండెదనని యాకోబుతో చెప్పగా

3. And the Lord said to Jacob, Return to the land of your father, and to your family, and I will be with you.

4. యాకోబు పొలములో తన మందయొద్దకు రాహేలును లేయాను పిలువనంపి వారితో యిట్లనెను.

4. And Jacob sent and called Leah and Rachel to the plain where the flocks were.

5. మీ తండ్రి కటాక్షము నిన్న మొన్న నామీద ఉండినట్లు ఇప్పుడు నామీద నుండలేదని నాకు కనబడుచున్నది; అయితే నా తండ్రియొక్క దేవుడు నాకు తోడైయున్నాడు;

5. And he said to them, I see the face of your father, that it is not [favorable] toward me as before, but the God of my father was with me.

6. మీ తండ్రికి నా యావచ్ఛక్తితో కొలువు చేసితినని మీకు తెలిసే యున్నది.

6. And you too know that with all my might I have served your father.

7. మీ తండ్రి నన్ను మోసపుచ్చి పదిమార్లు నా జీతము మార్చెను; అయినను దేవుడు అతని నాకు హానిచేయ నియ్యలేదు.

7. But your father deceived me, and changed my wages for the ten lambs, yet God did not give him the [power] to hurt me.

8. అతడు పొడలు గలవి నీ జీతమగునని చెప్పినయెడల అప్పుడు మందలన్నియు పొడలుగల పిల్లలనీనెను. చారలుగలవి నీ జీతమగునని చెప్పినయెడల అప్పుడు మందలన్నియు చారలుగల పిల్లల నీనెను.

8. If he should say thus, The speckled shall be your reward, then all the cattle would bear speckled; and if he should say, The white shall be your reward, then would all the cattle bear white.

9. అట్లు దేవుడు మీ తండ్రి పశువులను తీసి నాకిచ్చెను.

9. So God has taken away all the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

10. మందలు చూలుకట్టు కాలమున నేను స్వప్న మందు కన్నులెత్తి చూడగా గొఱ్ఱెలను దాటు పొట్టేళ్లు చారలైనను పొడలైనను మచ్చలైనను గలవై యుండెను.

10. And it came to pass when the cattle conceived and were with young, that I beheld with my eyes and saw in a dream, and behold, the male goats and the rams leaping on the sheep and the female goats, speckled and streaked and spotted with ash-colored spots.

11. మరియు ఆ స్వప్నమందు దేవుని దూత యాకోబూ అని నన్ను పిలువగా చిత్తము ప్రభువా అని చెప్పితిని.

11. And the Angel of God said to me in a dream, Jacob; and I said, What is it?

12. అప్పుడు ఆయన నీ కన్నులెత్తి చూడుము; గొఱ్ఱెలను దాటుచున్న పొట్టేళ్లన్నియు చారలైనను పొడలైనను మచ్చలైనను గలవి; ఏలయనగా లాబాను నీకు చేయుచున్నది యావత్తును చూచితిని

12. And He said, Look up with your eyes, and behold the male goats and the rams leaping on the sheep and the female goats, speckled and streaked and spotted with ash-colored spots; for I have seen all things that Laban does to you.

13. నీ వెక్కడ స్తంభముమీద నూనె పోసితివో, యెక్కడ నాకు మ్రొక్కుబడి చేసితివో ఆ బేతేలు దేవుడను నేనే. ఇప్పుడు నీవు లేచి యీ దేశములోనుండి బయలుదేరి నీవు పుట్టిన దేశమునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుమని నాతో చెప్పెననెను.

13. I am God that appeared to you in the place of God where you anointed a pillar to Me, and vowed to Me there a vow; now then arise and depart out of this land, depart into the land of your nativity, and I will be with you.

14. అందుకు రాహేలును లేయాయు యింక మా తండ్రి యింట మాకు పాలు పంపు లెక్కడివి? అతడు మమ్మును అన్యులుగా చూచుటలేదా?

14. And Rachel and Leah answered and said to him, Have we yet a part or inheritance in the house of our father?

15. అతడు మమ్మును అమ్మివేసి, మాకు రావలసిన ద్రవ్యమును బొత్తుగా తినివేసెను.

15. Are we not considered strangers by him? For he has sold us, and quite devoured our money.

16. దేవుడు మా తండ్రి యొద్దనుండి తీసివేసిన ధనమంతయు మాదియు మా పిల్లలదియునైయున్నది గదా? కాబట్టి దేవుడు నీతో చెప్పినట్లెల్ల చేయుమని అతనికుత్తర మియ్యగా

16. All the wealth and the glory which God has taken from our father, it shall be ours, and our children's; now then do whatever God has said to you.

17. యాకోబు లేచి తన కుమారులను తన భార్యలను ఒంటెలమీద నెక్కించి

17. And Jacob arose and took his wives and his children up on the camels;

18. కనాను దేశమునకు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు నొద్దకు వెళ్లుటకు తన పశువులన్నిటిని, తాను సంపాదించిన సంపద యావత్తును, పద్దనరాములో తాను సంపాదించిన ఆస్తి యావత్తును తీసికొని పోయెను.

18. and he took away all his possessions and all his store, which he had gotten in Mesopotamia, and all that belonged to him, to depart to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.

19. లాబాను తన గొఱ్ఱెలబొచ్చు కత్తిరించుటకు వెళ్లియుండగా రాహేలు తన తండ్రి యింటనున్న గృహ దేవతలను దొంగిలెను.

19. And Laban went to shear his sheep; and Rachel stole her father's idols.

20. యాకోబు తాను పారిపోవు చున్నానని సిరియావాడైన లాబానుకు తెలియచేయక పోవుట వలన అతని మోసపుచ్చినవాడాయెను.

20. And Jacob hid [the matter from] Laban the Syrian, so as not to tell him that he ran away.

21. అతడు తనకు కలిగిన దంతయు తీసికొని పారిపోయెను. అతడు లేచి నది దాటి గిలాదను కొండతట్టు అభిముఖుడై వెళ్లెను.

21. And he departed, himself and all that belonged to him, and passed over the river, and went into the mountain of Gilead.

22. యాకోబు పారిపోయెనని మూడవ దినమున లాబానుకు తెలుపబడెను.

22. But it was told Laban the Syrian on the third day that Jacob had fled.

23. అతడు తన బంధువులను వెంటబెట్టుకొని, యేడు దినముల ప్రయాణమంత దూరము అతని తరుముకొని పోయి, గిలాదు కొండమీద అతని కలిసికొనెను.

23. And having taken his brothers with him, he pursued after him seven days' journey, and overtook him on Mount Gilead.

24. ఆ రాత్రి స్వప్నమందు దేవుడు సిరియావాడైన లాబాను నొద్దకు వచ్చినీవు యాకోబుతో మంచిగాని చెడ్డగాని పలుకకుము జాగ్రత్త సుమీ అని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

24. And God came to Laban the Syrian in sleep by night, and said to him, Take heed to yourself that you do not speak evil things to Jacob at any time.

25. లాబాను యాకోబును కలిసికొనెను. యాకోబు తన గుడారము ఆ కొండమీద వేసికొనియుండెను; లాబానును తన బంధువులతో గిలాదు కొండమీద గుడారము వేసి కొనెను.

25. And Laban overtook Jacob; and Jacob pitched his tent in the mountain; and Laban stationed his brothers in the mountains of Gilead.

26. అప్పుడు లాబాను యాకోబుతో నీవేమి చేసితివి? నన్ను మోసపుచ్చి, కత్తితో చెరపట్టబడిన వారిని వలె నా కుమార్తెలను కొనిపోవనేల?

26. And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done? Why did you run away secretly, and pillage me, and lead away my daughters as captives taken with the sword?

27. నీవు నాకు చెప్పక రహస్యముగా పారిపోయి నన్ను మోసపుచ్చితివేల? సంభ్రమముతోను పాటలతోను మద్దెలతోను సితారాలతోను నిన్ను సాగనంపుదునే.

27. If you had told me, I would have sent you away with joy, and with songs, with timbrel and harp.

28. అయితే నీవు నా కుమారులను నా కుమార్తెలను నన్ను ముద్దు పెట్టు కొననియ్యక పిచ్చిపట్టి యిట్లు చేసితివి.

28. And I was not counted worthy to embrace my children and my daughters. Now then you have done foolishly.

29. మీకు హాని చేయుటకు నా చేతనవును; అయితే పోయిన రాత్రి మీ తండ్రియొక్క దేవుడు నీవు యాకోబుతో మంచి గాని చెడ్డగాని పలుకకుము జాగ్రత్త సుమీ అని నాతో చెప్పెను.

29. And now my hand has the power to hurt you; but the God of your father spoke to me yesterday, saying, Take heed to yourself that you speak no evil words to Jacob.

30. నీ తండ్రి యింటిమీద బహు వాంఛగల వాడవై వెళ్లగోరిన యెడల వెళ్లుము, నా దేవతల నేల దొంగిలితివనగా

30. Now then go on your way, for you have earnestly desired to depart to the house of your father; [but] why have you stolen my gods?

31. యాకోబు నీవు బలవంతముగా నా యొద్దనుండి నీ కుమార్తెలను తీసికొందువేమో అనుకొని భయపడితిని

31. And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid; for I said, Lest at any time you should take away your daughters from me, and all my possessions.

32. ఎవరియొద్ద నీ దేవతలు కనబడునో వారు బ్రదుకకూడదు. నీవు నా యొద్దనున్న వాటిని మన బంధువుల యెదుట వెదకి నీ దానిని తీసికొనుమని లాబానుతో చెప్పెను. రాహేలు వాటిని దొంగిలెనని యాకోబునకు తెలియలేదు.

32. And Jacob said, With whomever you shall find your gods, he shall not live in the presence of our brethren; take notice of what I have of your property, and take it; and he observed nothing with him, but Jacob knew not that his wife Rachel had stolen them.

33. లాబాను యాకోబు గుడారములోనికి లేయా గుడారము లోనికి ఇద్దరి దాసీల గుడారములలోనికి వెళ్లెను గాని అతని కేమియు దొరకలేదు. తరువాత అతడు లేయా గుడారములోనుండి బయలుదేరి రాహేలు గుడారములోనికి వెళ్లెను.

33. And Laban went in and searched in the house of Leah, and did not found [them]; and he went out of the house of Leah, and searched in the house of Jacob, and in the house of the two maid-servants, and did not found [them]; and he went also into the house of Rachel.

34. రాహేలు ఆ విగ్రహములను తీసికొని ఒంటె సామగ్రిలో పెట్టి వాటిమీద కూర్చుండెను. కాగా లాబాను ఆ గుడారమందంతటను తడవి చూచి నప్పటికిని అవి దొరకలేదు.

34. And Rachel took the idols, and cast them among the camel's packs, and sat upon them.

35. ఆమె తన తండ్రితో తమ యదుట నేను లేవలేనందున తాము కోపపడకూడదు; నేను కడగానున్నానని చెప్పెను. అతడెంత వెదకినను ఆ విగ్రహములు దొరకలేదు.

35. And she said to her father, Be not indignant, Sir; I cannot rise up before you, for it is with me according to the manner of women. Laban searched in all the house, and did not find the images.

36. యాకోబు కోపపడి లాబానుతో వాదించి అతనితో నీవిట్లు మండిపడి నన్ను తరుమ నేల? నేను చేసిన ద్రోహమేమి? పాపమేమి?

36. And Jacob was angry, and contended with Laban; and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my injustice, and what [is] my sin, that you have pursued after me,

37. నీవు నా సమస్త సామగ్రి తడివి చూచిన తరువాత నీ యింటి వస్తువులన్నిటిలో ఏది దొరికెను? నా వారి యెదుటను నీ వారియెదుటను అది యిట్లు తెచ్చిపెట్టుము; వారు మన ఉభయుల మధ్య తీర్పు తీర్చుదురు.

37. and that you have searched all the furniture of my house? What have you found of all the furniture of your house? Set it here between your relations and my relations, and let them decide between us two.

38. ఈ యిరువది యేండ్లు నేను నీయొద్దనుంటిని. నీ గొఱ్ఱెలైనను మేకలైనను ఈచుకొని పోలేదు, నీ మంద పొట్టేళ్లను నేను తినలేదు.

38. These twenty years have I been with you; your sheep, and your female goats have not failed in bearing; and I have not eaten the rams of your cattle.

39. దుష్ట మృగములచేత చీల్చబడినదానిని నీ యొద్దకు తేక ఆ నష్టము నేనే పెట్టుకొంటిని. పగటియందు దొంగిలింపబడిన దాని నేమి రాత్రియందు దొంగి లింపబడినదాని నేమి నాయొద్ద పుచ్చుకొంటివి; నేను ఈలాగుంటిని.

39. That which was torn of beasts I did not bring to you; I made good of myself the thefts of the day, and the thefts of the night.

40. పగటి యెండకును రాత్రి మంచుకును నేను క్షీణించిపోతిని; నిద్ర నా కన్నులకు దూరమాయెను.

40. I was parched with heat by day, and [chilled] with frost by night, and my sleep departed from my eyes.

41. ఇదివరకు నీ యింటిలో ఇరువది యేండ్లు ఉంటిని. నీ యిద్దరి కుమార్తెల నిమిత్తము పదునాలు గేండ్లును, నీ మంద నిమిత్తము ఆరేండ్లును నీకు కొలువు చేసితిని. అయినను నీవు నా జీతము పదిమారులు మార్చితివి.

41. These twenty years have I been in your house; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years among your sheep, and you falsely changed my wages for ten lambs.

42. నా తండ్రి దేవుడు, అబ్రాహాము దేవుడు, ఇస్సాకు భయపడిన దేవుడు నాకు తోడైయుండనియెడల నిశ్చయముగా నీవు నన్ను వట్టి చేతులతోనే పంపివేసి యుందువు. దేవుడు నా ప్రయాసమును నా చేతుల కష్టమును చూచి, పోయిన రాత్రి నిన్ను గద్దించెనని లాబానుతో చెప్పెను.

42. Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed; [but] God saw my humiliation, and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you yesterday.

43. అందుకు లాబాను ఈ కుమార్తెలు నా కుమార్తెలు, ఈ కుమారులు నా కుమారులు, ఈ మంద నా మంద, నీకు కనబడుచున్నది అంతయు నాది, ఈ నా కుమార్తెలనైనను వీరు కనిన కుమారుల నైనను నేనేమి చేయగలను.

43. And Laban answered and said to Jacob, The daughters are my daughters, and the sons my sons, and the cattle are my cattle, and all things which you see are mine, and [the property] of my daughters; what shall I do to them today, or their children which they bore?

44. కావున నేనును నీవును నిబంధన చేసికొందము రమ్ము, అది నాకును నీకును మధ్య సాక్షిగా ఉండునని యాకోబుతో ఉత్తరమియ్యగా

44. Now then come, let me make a covenant, both you and I, and it shall be for a witness between me and you; and he said to him, Behold, there is no one with us; behold, God is witness between me and you.

45. యాకోబు ఒక రాయి తీసికొని దానిని స్తంభముగా నిలువబెట్టెను.

45. And Jacob, having taken a stone, set it up for a pillar.

46. మరియు యాకోబు రాళ్లు కూర్చుడని తన బంధువులతో చెప్పెను. వారు రాళ్లు తెచ్చి కుప్ప వేసిరి; అక్కడ వారు ఆ కుప్ప యొద్ద భోజనము చేసిరి.

46. And Jacob said to his brethren, Gather stones; and they gathered stones and made a heap, and ate there upon the heap; and Laban said to him, This heap witnesses between me and you this day.

47. లాబాను దానికి యగర్‌ శాహదూతా అను పేరు పెట్టెను. అయితే యాకోబు దానికి గలేదు అను పేరు పెట్టెను.

47. And Laban called it, the Heap of Testimony; and Jacob called it, the Witness Heap.

48. లాబాను నేడు ఈ కుప్ప నాకును నీకును మధ్య సాక్షిగా ఉండునని చెప్పెను. కాబట్టి దానికి గలేదను పేరుపెట్టెను. మరియు మనము ఒకరికొకరము దూరముగా నుండగా యెహోవా నాకును నీకును మధ్య జరుగునది కనిపెట్టునని చెప్పెను గనుక దానికి మిస్పా అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.

48. And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and the pillar, which I have set between me and you; this heap witnesses, and this pillar witnesses; therefore its name was called, The Heap Witnesses.

49. అంతట లాబాను నీవు నా కుమార్తెలను బాధ పెట్టినను, నా కుమార్తెలను గాక యితర స్త్రీలను పెండ్లి చేసికొనినను, చూడుము,

49. And the vision of which he said, Let God look to it between me and you, because we are about to depart from each other.

50. మనయొద్ద ఎవరును లేరు గదా, నాకును నీకును దేవుడే సాక్షి అని చెప్పెను.

50. If you shall humble my daughters, if you should take wives in addition to my daughters, see, there is no one with us looking on. God is witness between me and you.

51. మరియు లాబాను నాకును నీకును మధ్య నేను నిలిపిన యీ స్తంభమును చూడుము ఈ కుప్ప చూడుము.

51. And Laban said to Jacob, Behold, this heap and this pillar are a witness.

52. హానిచేయవలెనని నేను ఈ కుప్ప దాటి నీ యొద్దకు రాకను, నీవు ఈ కుప్పను ఈ స్తంభమును దాటి నా యొద్దకు రాకను ఉండుటకు ఈ కుప్ప సాక్షి యీ స్తంభమును సాక్షి.

52. For if I should not cross over unto you, neither should you cross over to me, for mischief beyond this heap and this pillar.

53. అబ్రాహాము దేవుడు నాహోరు దేవుడు వారి తండ్రి దేవుడు మన మధ్య న్యాయము తీర్చునని చెప్పెను. అప్పుడు యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు భయపడిన దేవునితోడని ప్రమాణము చేసెను.

53. The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor judge between us; and Jacob swore by the Fear of his father Isaac.

54. యాకోబు ఆ కొండమీద బలియర్పించి భోజనము చేయుటకు తన బంధువులను పిలువగా వారు భోజనముచేసి కొండమీద ఆ రాత్రి వెళ్లబుచ్చిరి.

54. And he offered a sacrifice in the mountain, and called his brethren, and they ate and drank, and slept in the mountain.

55. తెల్లవారినప్పుడు లాబాను లేచి తన కుమారులను తన కుమార్తెలను ముద్దు పెట్టుకొని వారిని దీవించి బయలుదేరి తన ఊరికి వెళ్లి పోయెను.

55. And Laban rose up in the morning, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them; and Laban, having turned back, departed to his place.
