His unwavering faith and dedication to his calling led to the formation of a house church, where Pastor David nurtured and shepherded seven families in their spiritual growth. Despite facing harassment and intimidation, Pastor David and his fellow believers stood firm in their faith, refusing to forsake Jesus Christ even in the face of severe persecution.
Tragically, on July 29, 2015, Pastor David was ruthlessly gunned down by armed assailants outside his own home. His martyrdom served as a stark reminder of the cost of discipleship and the reality of persecution faced by believers around the world.
Yet, even in the midst of tragedy, Pastor David-s legacy lives on. His wife, Susanna Lugun, inspired by the Holy Spirit, courageously resumed worship services at their home, continuing to shine the light of Christ in their village. Despite the loss of her husband and the threats against her family, Susanna remained steadfast in her faith, trusting in God-s provision and protection.
